CaptainLucky's First Indoor Golden Tiger Grow 2023

I'm all for folks doing whatever they want with their grows so my hair's laying perfectly flat! It's when folks start giving other folks advice that flushing removes nute taste from buds that I like to let people know it's a myth.

Well-dried and cured buds are the ones that taste good regardless of how they're grown, and I've had hoity toity weed snobs say mine is the smoothest they've ever smoked. Fed synthetic nutes right up until harvest they are, every single one.

But that's no reason for you to change what you're doing if it's working for you!
I do the same and feed up to chop chop!

I really don't want to soak up Captain's thread with this and I don't want to get into an organic vs synthetic debate. All I'm saying is going water only at the end of a synthetic nute grow is not going change the taste of the flowers after harvest. They've done blind taste tests in addition to lab tests that prove it. The video on that research is here.
I respectfully disagree 1000% shed!
Just my preferences. Try it one time buddy, you might like it.

You’re a trip bro but it’s cool that’s what makes us all individuals. lol CL🍀. :thumb: :hookah::ciao:

:welcome:Morning Update: I see that trying to up the nutes on my Tent Tiger has burned the tips so no more of that. I’m going back to her regular mixture. Other than that she’s still looking 👀 good n bulking up nicely. Actually all my girls are bulking up their colas. I have to get a dehumidifier for my closet asap so if anyone has any recommendation I would appreciate it. Really I need one for my tent too. I tried tying up my Panama but because I broke that main branch when it was young it has a lot of side branches that make it difficult. If it was in a bigger bag/pot I could stake it. Because of the Canadian smoke there’s nothing to update about my Mother’s @MagicStone adventures. That’s all for now but please remember to support the Sponsors and enjoy the contests. Hope everyone had a great weekend and has a happy 4th of July. Happy growing n stay safe. Here’s a few pictures from this morning. CL🍀 :thumb::thanks: :circle-of-love: :morenutes: :420:

Nope nothing sponsored here yet but you’re free to discuss the issue here as well if flushing will remove nutrients brother. CL🍀. :thumb: :ciao:

Thank you Captain for not blowing me away from a healthy discussion amongst growers.

Shed it’s ok to have others think and act differently, more styles of grow, more results.

I respect and tolerate most of the grows I see here, despite most of them being nute fed grows. That’s not my ideal situation. Do I smoke nute fed cannabis; yes I do. All that dispensary crap has heavy fertilizer taste.

I also have my snob friends say when they smoke my organics, nothing compares to the taste and throat relive, they never cough and they get high as F@ck.

Do I see traces of white ash off my joint? I see predominantly black ash with considerably less white ash. The Purple Kush I am smoking now, looks like cigarette ash… my throat hurts at the end of the day… tastes like bottled fertilizer.

If one doesn’t want to “flush”… which I give you that; one can’t flush a plant, one can only flush a grow medium. Them organics is the way to grow for taste.
An organic bud anywhere has almost doble the price than a bottle fed bud, is that just a marketing scheme ? Or is there really something to true organics?

Let’s get side tracked for a little;
Wines, I hope you are a Wine guy Shed. California has some high standard and amazing wines, you guys have Terroir!, and now the industry is moving torwards organics (those who can and have an endless bank account).

Deep down the science has determined that Yes you can’t flush nutes out of anything. Wines taste better with organic principles, it ages better, and has less sediment deposits. But the price tag is crazy, a good organic wine dobles in price compared to a standard wine.

There are huge amounts of true organic fertilizers but they ain’t cheap. Nothing is cheap when it’s labeled organic, now that is just the market. It’s easy to fall victim of speculative pricing when it says Organic on the box.

You seem to be a standard in which people measure their grow results; if you wanted you could do a true organics grow next to your usual feeding schedule. And smoke report; that’s a journal I would follow. And if you don’t want, fine too.

I am waiting to receive my fertilizer gift from last month contest. As soon as I get it I will do a side by side organics vs Fertilizer.

The only reason I chose organic above all, its a healthier choice but it comes with a price tag.

:passitleft:

This is not to be taken personal; if anyone grows with bottled nutes, it’s legit. I don’t discourage anyones style and techniques, but I also don’t think my way is the only way.

Still amazing flowers Captain!

Maybe he dropped it in the toilet and flushed!

@Jon really likes his Colaze dehuey.
Kind of pricey but I’m wondering if these 30 dollar units would do a good enuff job. CL🍀

I asked my wife if she looks for organic wine when buying it and she said no. To her taste there is no difference, but some wines give her a headache. I think that has to do with how much she drinks and not the wine itself. As far as weed goes I would not know the difference as I have never seen weed advertised as organic. Not to say there is not any. I just do not see it around here. I do see organic veggys and think there is a little difference in them mostly the cost as you said.

If you’re waiting for RX then you’re SOL because they are out of business. I didn’t get mine from GJOM so I really doubt either one of us will get them. CL🍀

It became a speculative market brother. I can’t afford all organic, so I grow some of it. Wines that have sulphite to preserve have a tendency to give headaches. I found that too.
A decent organic wine from BC Okanagan valley costs 20$ a bottle. 25$ max. They are superior than a 20-25$ bottle of non organic wine.
Cannabis here by the gram organics cost 15-20$ a gram compared to 7-10$ non organic.
That applies to everything. It’s retarded how expensive organics are, and I bitch sooooo much because my wife wants nothing but organics as she is the real organics activist…

a 200$ oz of organic bud would get me in soooo much trouble.

That sucks, I was hoping to grow something using the fertilizer.

I haven’t got the grow bags either. 😞
You still should get the GeoFlora but those are dry. Btw all wines contain sulphites because of the yeast that is used for fermentation. CL🍀

That's some condescending bullshit Dani and completely misrepresents what I've said. I'm out.

It’s hard to accept that you run out of arguments to defend your case Shed. I am not at all condescending, it’s just that you have it easy when everyone agrees with your point of view man.

I can shut up about organics, that possibly gets you angry. But I don’t bullshit, so let’s keep it respectful.

You don’t like me and that’s something you can’t hide. Come check my shit out a learn a thing or two about organics. Why hate on me like that bro? That’s fucked up.

Have a good day Shed, take it easy.

Unfortunately, my wife and I live near the city..so synthetics are really convenient and think if done properly, it's just as good as organics.
If I lived in the country, it would be all organics of course.
I've run both for years and miss organics but my back doesn't miss them going upstairs with 10 15 gallons pots. Or having 500 lbs of amendments in my garage..

Overall, health of the plant is the most important, imo. and drying/curing.
Like Dani mentioned is for me to leach out my medium, with only water ( with a little runoff) the last two weeks..my last watering before harvesting is still around 250 to 300 ppms going out runoff.
So, really not a flush. Plants still have nutrients in my soil..goes to show u how much we feed these plants up to the end.
Plus, it saves me a little money to for the whole years.

Everyone has their own way. Respect all of your opinions.
