So how should I switch them over to flower? 24 hrs of dark is still ok?

hi canuckgal hows you, the 24 hours of dark is not needed, its meant to make them flower sooner but its not proven as far as im aware, so you can just flip 12-12 from anylighting schedule, even 24-0 so its ok to flip the timer to 12-12 without any dark period, the only advantage i can see about this dark period is to get the plant to grow more agresive during that 24 hour dark period, i noticed this when i had a power cut and the lights where off for 20 odd hours, and clearly when the power came back the plants had grown more in them 20 odd hours than they had all week, i think this can only be done as a one off and not a weekly routine so to speak, so you can give them 24 hours if you like and when you flip the lights back on you will notice how much they have grown,

if you use glr for veg then the plants are all ready in rapid growth then when you flip the lights to 12-12 they dont stretch as much as they are ready to flower as they are, so you dont have the massive the stretch like you do with other schedules, so this would be good for satvia dominant strains,

hope everything is going ok for you, been off line a few days sorting my moms car out so been way to busy, working from like 10am till its dark around 8pm, its easier in a garage but working on my moms drive with hand tools makes it so much harder to do

Aww thank you! I know I'm not a n00b anymore, but everyday I'm ready to battle something, even though lately they seem to be doing well. I keep expecting the worst when I go in to my grow room, so far so good though :)

Last night I turned off the lights around 3 am, I'll turn them back on when I get home tonight around 8pm, and begin 12/12 from 8pm-8am tonight. I keep an odd schedule, and I usually come home from work around 11pm and go to bed around 4am. This gives me lots of time to work with the plants.

Yea working on a car without power tools would be tough. Hopefully it's just under the hood and not the tires, or brakes (something that needs to be secured tight).

I feel your pain about not having power tools, I tried to mount my scrog using a screw driver, nope, so then I tried nails, nope, spent about an hour putting in screws crooked, or having nails fall out. (no stud finder). I got super fed up and just gave up, I'll have to make up some reason to borrow my friends drill. I really need to get it in there soon, plants are growi g fast!



To avoid the stretch, I've read that keeping the MH light in there for the first 2 weeks of flower will help. So I'll be doing that starting tonight at 8pm when I turn the lights back on.

I feel your battles. I did not do a screen when I should have because I have plaster walls in my grow closet. Next grow I will get it all figured out. At least it is cooling off so the A/C is not tripping my breakers... May the grow gods be with you.

Yeah I been trying to take some real detailed upclose pics of my growing buds this past week too. before it wasent worth it but now they getting frosty n pretty :)

P.S I nowmust go to the store, I have a craving for melons.
