Nice work Canna. Your pond weed brew is going to stink like nothing you've brewed before. I mean serious gag you, gut wrench. I can handle stinky stuff, and earthy smells good. Even fish emu I dont find that bad. But a bucket full of weed matter in still water anaerobically breaking down....that is the worst. Vomit and diarrhea soup comes to mind.

I'll be prepared for the smell for sure. What concerns me most is decomposition smell draws 4 legged scavenger critters. The raccoons, skunks and coyotes will catch wind, I'm thinking. Especially the raccoons, and they know how to pry lids off things. I'm going to figure out how to lock that lid down.

Well, I think I like being a "3rd year apprentice". I've got a lot of knowledge under my belt from the members here in the last three years...and the best part is...there's always more to learn! :)

I've been waiting for the trim on the Auto Fast N Vast to completely dry before picking through it for remaining seeds from the cross pollination. I found a few. YEY (we like seeds) The way this particular successful cross is growing, I am really happy with having plenty of seeds for the future!

I'm decarbing for some shaker jars to give as gifts. I'll post a pic later of what I mean.

Okay, here's what I'm doing for gifts. I got ahold of the cutest little parmesan shaker jars..with green lids! I'm filling them with decarbed weed, tie a little gold bow on them, and I am making some labels for the bottom that give the strain name etc.

Shake into your recipes after the hottest part of the cooking is done, or into brownies, baked goods....or ..what the heck? on top of a salad or other foods. Might be a bit gritty..but is that much different than biting into peppercorns? :laugh:

There is an ounce of decarbed weed in it. That's a good amount of weed for a gift, eh? (Damnit! I've been reading too many of Duggan's posts. He is canadian, he says "eh" a lot. LOL)

I had to go out and toss the compost pile a bit, but stopped to do critter checks on the girls. I found two leaf eaters, one juvenile leaf hopper and one juvenile Katydid. I took care of Katykid, as for the lil' hopper...I think I'll just let spidey have his lunch: :laugh:

Dang, Canna, those are the cutest gift ideas for canna people I've ever seen. Where in heck did you find those? I'm thinking fab in a spaghetti sauce. Is this for xmas or any time?

Hi Wild Man! Hope you will be "hanging in" for a good long time to come. :Love:

What I notice right now is that the flowers are packing on very quickly compared to the other regular photo period girls, that's an auto trait for sure. But, I was able to keep the plant in veggie state until I was ready for it to flower...that's a photo trait. It did have slight flowering going on during veggie state, but they just kind of stayed really slow.

The height of the plant, even with the stretch outside, seems to be more toward auto than what I remember of the Regular Master Kush when I've grown it. (shorter than the regular Kush) Of course, that's affected by how much LST training is done for each plant too.
I'm going to look at some numbers in regards to veg time, etc. tonight so I can give a full report of what this is doing compared to each individual strain when it was grown.

On an off topic note: Compared to my Mom, I'm doing excellent. Her surgery yesterday went well, but they couldn't do the other surgery because that one took too long. It got scheduled for a later date in a couple weeks. Today, while I was there, the Nurse called and now they want to do a full body scan on her. So....we're back to worrying again.

I have the faith, and I have friends for support. That's all I can ask.

Hi Shawnee, I like your name submission. :)

I found the little jars on the net. They are usually for parmesan shaking. You can get all different color lids for them. I'll PM you with some more info.
I don't think these are just for Christmas at all, give them anytime! Although, I like the color of the lid, and you can get red ones too I'm sure. Make it really festive. :laugh:

Okay, I have a question now. Teas and plant brews are new to me, I've never done them. According to what I've found on making the seaweed tea, it is going to be very concentrated when it is done and has to be mixed with water at a certain ratio of tea to water.

Do you have to do that with your compost teas? If so, what's your ratios?

I wish I could get about a hundred of those per plant. I've transferred a couple from my grape leaves to the MJ plants when I found them. They do some serious chow downs on bugs for as small as they are. And they don't leave any jerky behind. :laugh:

Well, we use ours in our veggie garden. Never have used it for the mj plants. So what we did for the greenhouse plants was get the miracle grow feeder/sprayer. We used that on the veggies. Then when it was emptied, we put it in the reservoir where the MG used to be. That's how we do it. The pressure of the hose spraying pulls the nutes into the stream of water. The sprayer does have a dial that allows for a light feeding, or a heart feeding. No way of knowing what strength and what type nutes we feed them.

Thanks, I did run across that very spray method you mentioned. I think I have one of those in the garage somewhere. I'll have to go garage digging this weekend. :laugh:

You are too kind. I wanted to also point out, I'm pretty OCD about picking out stem pieces and any immature seeds. I take a lot of time doing that before it goes to decarb stage. When I do the "sprinkle" batches such as what's in the jars, I don't want any really hard non-chewables hitting me when I eat it. Most unpleasant.
Have you ever bought cheap Italian seasonings? No matter how long you simmer that crap in a sauce, it never fails you get some hard piece of stem in it when you eat. Hate that!
