Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & More!

Re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & M

I was thinking more in the line of sugar leaves....coated with trichomes but when bagged up and smashed, is very much in line with the texture of basil and oregano that I put in the spaghetti sauce....either way, a very terrific and generous gift for any canna advocate....+REPS for you, too; you are the greatest!

Happy Labor Day all....can't think of a better place to be in the US of A than the mitten state for the next few days....stellar weather for all of us.....

If I can hijack, Canna, for a moment, here's a good story....

My neighbor's lawn was getting long....today I came home and someone was mowing...I figured it was his kid....later in the afternoon I get a doorbell ring from the neighbor asking "who mowed my lawn?" "The kid," I said. "Oh no, he was working with me all day...."

"Black truck, orange and black mower"....turned out it was his MMJ caregiver...he got laid off this week and said he was bored. The neighbor said in jest, "so mow my lawn" and he did....

Great example of the bonding that goes on with the person who grows your meds.....I absolutely loved it!:circle-of-love:

Nice work Canna. Your pond weed brew is going to stink like nothing you've brewed before. I mean serious gag you, gut wrench. I can handle stinky stuff, and earthy smells good. Even fish emu I dont find that bad. But a bucket full of weed matter in still water anaerobically breaking down....that is the worst. Vomit and diarrhea soup comes to mind.

Thanks Heir. :)

I'll be prepared for the smell for sure. What concerns me most is decomposition smell draws 4 legged scavenger critters. The raccoons, skunks and coyotes will catch wind, I'm thinking. Especially the raccoons, and they know how to pry lids off things. I'm going to figure out how to lock that lid down.

If Heirloom's description is accurate, you might just be wishing for the skunks to come around! :)

I was having dry heaves just reading his post!

Well, we use ours in our veggie garden. Never have used it for the mj plants. So what we did for the greenhouse plants was get the miracle grow feeder/sprayer. We used that on the veggies. Then when it was emptied, we put it in the reservoir where the MG used to be. That's how we do it. The pressure of the hose spraying pulls the nutes into the stream of water. The sprayer does have a dial that allows for a light feeding, or a heart feeding. No way of knowing what strength and what type nutes we feed them.

Thanks, I did run across that very spray method you mentioned. I think I have one of those in the garage somewhere. I'll have to go garage digging this weekend.

Make sure you're spraying with NON-chlorinated water!

The whole idea behind the tea is adding microbial life to the soil. You do NOT need to mix this with water, but, since it should be teaming with microbes, a little goes a long way and it can be spread out by diluting with additional water.

The city water out of my hose is chlorinated, so I just bubble a second bucket of plain H2O to dissipate the chlorine, then mix with the tea and use a watering can to apply.

I'd much rather use the sprayer, so if your water is non-chlorinated, go for it!

Just be careful not to kill all the microbial life you took so much time to breed! ;)

Thanks for that Mr. Krip! I don't have city water here, it's well water. Very high iron content, inside has to have a water softener, but outside it's just plain from the well.

Good Morning everyone and hope you all enjoy the Holiday weekend!

Don't over pressure the solution when spraying. As mentioned you are creating a microbe population as well as extracting nutrients. High psi will be detrimental.

Speaking of microbes, you are not bubbling the brew? If not, you do want to dilute it and then maybe bubble it 24hrs. With out oxygen you are creating an anaerobic environment. That takes different microbes that an aerated tea, and different than the good populations you want.

Just sayin', be careful inoculating with large populations of non beneficials.

Heirloom, you are a gem. I had wondered about the not bubbling point. Most all of the teas I've seen people make on this forum have some kind of aeration going on. The site I found the instructions for this at didn't aerate at all before using.

I have a bubbler pump that used to be used in the pond, I will dig that out of the barn and try to put it to use. Might take some finagling, but I should be able to use it.

:thanks: and good morning!

Also if you have any spare water pumps you can just aim one from the bottom to the top of the tea surface making a flowing area up there. It's called "flooming" and it can aerate much more than an air pump.

Also... I made a new friend overseas. She's new to the forum and I wanted to have her get to know some of the gals and feel welcome. She's trying to learn to grow her own Meds and I think we can make her feel at home here. Here is an intro link.

He is amazing, isn't he? Years of knowledge under his belt and I do appreciate it! I'll let him answer on the question you asked. I really am not sure on that. ;-)

Thanks on the lighting for the pic, that was in natural late lighting. The sun was sending rays that caused the "wash out" kind of effect that made those highlighted leaves pop. I thought it was pretty, glad you did too. :)

Re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & M

Honestly, Canna, when I was in high school I wanted to take a photography class....my dad made me take Modern European History....yawn....I do appreciate a good photo and really want to reach out to whomever takes it....

As for Heirloom, one of my degrees is indeed in horticulture, but his high degree of knowledge has really gotten my attention!

Happy Holiday, Canna, stellar weather, eh?

September is my favorite month in our state because of the lighting...I really notice the difference that the longer rays of sunlight make on my farm...just spectacular, it never ceases to amaze me!

Good morning friends. :)

I was just sitting here sippin' and thinkin' about the day I have planned. Part of that day is stirring up my seaweed brews and finding a permanent spot where I can get a bubbler going in them. That smell......

It occurred to me what a great defensive cover against the smell of MJ in the house it would make. You would NEVER pick out the smell of those plants over that. Hmmm......I'd better get my marketing plan together before someone else grabs it up!
