:thanks: I’m getting antsy to getting them flipped just need em to get a wee bit taller! (3-4” s) KKF is already to the point to where I normally flip so I’ve been trying to spread her out to make her a bit shorter till the others can catch up :laughtwo: The 2x4 will probably be a couple weeks behind the 4x4 on the flipping,
Ben lurking around
Lol I fall into doing that sometimes!
They look great ,Candy
:thanks: Hopefully they stay that way!
I'm making rounds again too. I'm months behind.
I feel ya! I think I’ve finally caught up for the most part with journals but get so far behind on mine :laughtwo: even those pics were taken the day before I actually posted them and that seems to be happening a lot.:lot-o-toke:last grow before my summer break I took so many pics but just had so much going on I couldn’t find the down zen time to sit and think out a thorough enough thought to post anything! This emoji was me:hmmmm:

:ciao: Howdy! I’ve got a bit of an early’ish update. I think I might have maybe still a calmag deficiency going on.. they look worse under the bright light but not as bad under natural lighting..:hmmmm: I took some pics under the bright light and under natural light and was wondering if I could get some opinions.
The girls in the 4x4 have had 3 feedings of 4gr/g MC , 3mls/g Silica and 2mls/g cal Mag except the last feed 2 days ago I had dropped the calmag completely. I’m making their feed for tomorrow and have added the 3mls/g Silica and went ahead and added 2mls/g calmag (since I use RO water I assume it wouldn’t hurt) and am planning on the 4gr/g MC again.
The 2x4 has been rocking along fine on 3.5gr/g MC , 3mls/g Silica and I took the calmag out of the equation on the last feed to see if they need it or so if they act hungry I can bump the MC up instead.
Prepare for the barage of pics :nerd-with-glasses:

The rest will be under the next post

Pics continued

Thank you for stopping by! I appreciate everyone of you! :peace::love::Namaste::hugs:

and was wondering if I could get some opinions.
I've got an opinion for you... Those are some of the best looking plants on this whole forum!
(IMO) :)
The BK has a little something going on, actually similar to what my plant is doing...I read it as a mild potassium deficiency, so I gave her a little shot of K to see if that fixes her up.
I won't know if it helped or not for a few days, but I'll let you know...no adverse effects yet, so that's a good thing..

Awww shucks! :thanks: Carcass that’s very sweet! I always feel like my girls look like ragamuffins in comparison to so many on here:love: I try to keep them prim and proper but they always have a mind of their own just like kiddos!:laughtwo:

Thank you for that tip! I wonder if I bump the silica up a smidge if that would help some :hmmmm: it’s a 0-0-3

Yes definitely a good thing and I’ll be keeping an eye out! :thanks: Again!

Hi,candy- I hope you're having a great Thursday!
Just checking in with a progress report, as I said I would... The addition of a little Potassium is helping the Blueberry Hill , the pale, splotchy leaves are mostly turning the proper shade of green now, as is all the new growth. It's only been 3 days, but the shot of K is definitely putting her back on track with no adverse effects!

It wouldn't hurt- the stuff I used (BPN Easy Weed) is a bit stronger (1-2-18), but every little bit should help...

:thanks: She’s looking beautiful! I just fed mine a day early today so on the next feed I’m gonna double the silica and see if that helps! I bumped the MC up a smidge to 4.3gr/g so i reckon I’ll see how they look in a few days when they need to be fed again. I hope your day has been great as well! :peace::green_heart::Namaste:

I try and get the plants to 4.5g of MC, especially at that size. They stay at that level until I switch to flower, which is when they get bumped up to 5g/gal. The K def is a good possibility since the BK looks hungry overall.

A smidge is good, but a smudge would be better. Stick with the 2mLs of calmag as well, but don't be afraid to give her a boost of 5mLs for a feeding or two.

Great looking garden Candy. Nothing to be too concerned about. They all look fantastic.

Sweet! :thanks: For the info!

:laughtwo: I’m bumping to 6mls/g on the silica and I’ll do the full 4.5gr/g on the MC

Awesome! Will do and :thanks:

:thanks: I was getting a lil nervous but now I’m feeling a bit better!

When you get time, can you post a pic of the GA on the back panel of the bag of MC? Well you're at it, maybe remind me again for the umpteenthtime the brand of calmag you use too.

Thanks Candy.
I use Calimagic 1-0-0. I hope you can see the pics well enough on the MC bag! The side seams busted so I had to vacu-seal it! It’s the newest formula (the blue stuff)
:thanks:

Hi again...
OK I'm glad I asked to see the bag. Here's the problem, and your plants are really going to struggle until we can balance out the ratios a bit. The MC has a really high Ca level, and a low Mg level. That makes it difficult to provide the adequate amount of N the plant needs without causing lockouts of other nutrients. The first chart below shows me using the Calimagic and the Megacrop Blue. The target values you see are what we are trying to achieve with 4.5g/gal of MC. But MC alone can't do that.
The results column shows what you are actually able to give the plants, or the best combination to hit the target values I enter. You can clearly see how far off we are with the N. If we add more N then our K number goes way up, since MC has such a high K value.

The second chart shows what you can achieve if you can get your hands on some pure N nutrients. The logical choice would be to go with a product called Natures Care Nitrogen. I'm not sure the cost, and I'm not telling you to buy it, but you need to get more N into the plants somehow. The second chart shows how close you are to meeting the targets with an added N supplement such as the one mentioned above.

Crud I don’t have anything else on hand but I can go to the hydro shop when they open in the morning and I’m sure they have some straight N on hand. I knew I should have waited to make their feed for tomorrow! I already added 6mls/g Silica and 5mls/g Calmag but not the MC yet.. can I adjust the number on the MC for the feed or should I just dump what I’ve got and start over after I get the N tomorrow? I wish I would have realized the change in the numbers on the new MC  I was wondering why I had all the sudden had issues where I normally don’t. I’m usually guilty of under feeding!
Is this all because I’m using RO water? I’d use my tap it’s just so high on the PPM scale well over 400!
Also just browsing on the Zon and google I couldn’t find the natures care nitrogen but found these 3 different types..
Is there a particular number on the N I should try and get my hands on or type of N like 2 of those say slow release and the natures nectar says it’s instantly available which is what I would want right?

:thanks: Sincerely for everything! :love::hugs:

That's perfect Candy, thanks. Do you have any other nutrients on hand? If so and you'd like to use them, let me know. The more stuff you have the better I can make you a nice blend for the plants.
I said I didn’t have anything else on hand but didn’t think to mention I do have some of the Geoflora Veg and Bloom on hand that I was planning on using on my next run but figured I would have to have it worked into the soil already. :hmmmm:

I also have GH flora series unopened because I switched to MC about a year Year and half ago!

And I also have some kelp meal

Nope, it's better they get something than nothing. Continue as you were until I have a chance to run some numbers tonight for you.
I wish I would have realized the change in the numbers on the new MC  I was wondering why I had all the sudden had issues where I normally don’t. I’m usually guilty of under feeding!
It's not just this formula. They are always playing with it. This batch just happens to have some low Mg numbers messing everything up.
Is this all because I’m using RO water?
No, we can adjust for that.
Is there a particular number on the N I should try and get my hands on or type of N like 2 of those say slow release and the natures nectar says it’s instantly available which is what I would want right?
I meant Nature's Nectar. I've seen great results with it. That's the stuff in the last picture. You wont use much so it will last a long time.

The micro, grow, and bloom I may be able to use.

I'll be back.

OK Candy,
here's something that should work OK. It's still light on the N, but better than the other calculations. Unfortunately we need to take out the Silca, but that's OK for now.

The chart below uses grams, so you are not going to measure mLs for any liquids. The liquids are measured by weight as well. Round the numbers up or down for convenience. Following the chart below you would be feeding 3.6 grams of MC and 1.5 grams of Flora Micro, per gallon. That's it.

When you are about to flip to flower, or get the N supplement, let me know so I can redo the recipe.
