Cafe Racer Outdoor And Indoor, Perpetual Grow

Busy week. Put little Hannah outside with the big boys to make room for the up-potting. Got blasted with a thunderstorm. Had to shake the water off afterwards cuz she was hanging heavy. Big initiation for an indoor.
IMG_20220728_hannah.jpg

So glad that I framed the other 4. They held up but may need some extra reinforcement when it buds. Julie and Candice are over 6 feet and won't be able to handle this shit when they are heavy budded but I can always make more framing with sheet metal.
IMG_20220728_J & Ida.jpg

Fiona & Ida did well and the itsy-bitsy spider that built its web between the two survived it also. I did find a green worm about to cocoon. There was clutterred top leaves. Opened them up and the little green bugger dropped out. Doubt it was invasive so I let it live, just not on my girl.
IMG_20220728-Eve &Deidre.jpg

Will be a challenge due to the early planting.
Clones are great, the Dyno clone in the middle, seems to be catching up to the regular Myko.
IMG_20220728_.jpg

The 2 best will replace the 2 gorgeous ladies that I just put to flower downstairs. Wanted to take a picture but it was lights off and my flash must be broken on my phone.

All in all, so far so good.

Cheers! :thumb:

Looks like they weathered the storm without any problems. Looking good. :yahoo:
We got one too.
Didn't effect anything inside the greenhouse though. :thumb:
Still dry and sunny in there.
Good thing it wasn't you tornado. ;)
Could have been worse.
Take care Amigo.

LMAO
For some reason, those green-houses block the worst of that shit... Go figure.
And yes, the vacation is going well. The visit from my American buddy was great. I played a weak golf to avoid back pain. Did well untill the 14th when the ball was a good foot above my feet. Didn't choke up on my wood and hit the ground hard, putting my back out.
This course was up and down with ravines all over. If it wasn't for losing 2 balls on the ninth par five for a ten stroker and my hurt back at the end, my 101 coulda been my best ever since my accident 8 years ago.
Keep up the good work on your grow. I wish that I had all the ingredients I have now when I started my outside grows. I noticed a definite improvement in the root ball since adding the dyno, castings, bokashi and frass.
Thanks for the recipe and enjoy your weekend.
Cheers!
PS. Give Howie a nice pat on the head and maybe a bum-rub to boot! Man's best friend, indeed!

Ya man,
Heating pad, chiro, extra insurance.....The works.

Fantastic time off, thank you. Posted nice pics on the CDN group.
Since we are chatting.. gotta say that my grow with this cafe racer is odd.
Planting them outside early is one thing. Too tall, too soft.
Yet even my inside branches seem soft.

Strange strain. Even with Dandelion tea, still soft.
Lights are at 18 inches in flower.
Just amazed at their softness by this time of year.

Hmm

Brilliant Canopy. :welldone:

Potassium silicate.
.5 ml once a week in plain water.
Hardens the cell walls.
Improves health as well.
It'll hold up huge buds.

I gave foliar spray during lights out the other night Tips started burning now it has spread to some of the outer leaves. I doubt that its a nute defficiency.
Any suggestions?
IMG_20220803.jpg

Cheers!
What did you spray.
When you spray too much it can pond on the edges, similar to your pics.
Otherwise it looks like a real good nute burn.
Hope your having a good day Scott.

Thank you for the quick response, Bill. It was that plant RX that I displayed at the beginning that said it must be applied only during lights out. The clones didn't suffer at all. It has been over 2 weeks since they were fed 20-20-20 so I thought it would be safe for a foliiar. The last watering just had Cal-Mag added to them. I guess that I will add just the potassium silicate to their next feeding.
Otherwise a decent day and will take a peak at your fabulous grow before leaving.
Hope all is well with you and Howie.
Cheers

Thanks Amigo.
Potassium silicate is best by its self.
Great stuff just doesn't get along well with other nutrients.
Is it possible you might have mixed too much in the water?
Or didn’t mix it properly, then it separates and becomes leaf killer.

So far, I just used the Pot. Silicate outside with no adverse effects> My indoor pots are still a little heavy.
I am sure it was the foliar spray. Gonna discontinue use because I can't see shite when lights are off.

Hi Bill!
Been 2 weeks since nutes and i add them while filling, then mix. Just used the silicate on the outside so farand they looked fine today. Will add it every other waterring.I add the 20-20-20 every 2 weeks about according to their recomendations. Indoor pots still a little heavy from the last watering with cal-mag only. Sure it was the foliar build up. I will just use organic foliar, at least I can do it lights on.
Thanks for the 411 on P. Silicate. My outsides are Amazon, first 2 are close to 7 feet. Considering super-topping them but would cry as I do so.
Cheers, my friend.

I have to lop the top off a few, they are 4' tall, think I waited too long.
I'm just going to take off a couple inches off and lay the top out flat.
Take care.

Would it be best to lop them just above a branch. Such a shame but am afraid of losing more if I don't. Have a good 1, Bill.
Thanks.

They are a foot higher than that now.
Cheers

Nice to see you back, @HappyHazmat88 . I can use all the advice that I can get..

A big storm can easily kill my outside girls. Thinking about chopping of a foot tomorrow just to keep it manageable. :(

I took the main stem off just above a node, " 2 branches " .
Then I'll tie the branches out flat.
I'll post 2 pics.
But you should steak and tie them.
6' bamboo steaks and a 100' of twine.
Push the steaks in the ground and wrap the twine around, holding up branches.
A 6" trellis would be good but too late I fear.
Ok let me see if I can transfer pics from my phone.
Hope your doing good Amigo.

You can cut lower if you like.
Do you understand about the twine & poles?

Excellent pictures, Bill. Thank you.
I will surely need to cut of about 18-24 inches and I do have a few bamboo poles and string that won't cut into the branches.
My problem is that my nodes alter from side to side and are about 3 inches apart at that height.. My hand is around 6 feet in the air. Branches in the back stand well over seven. I can raise my frames another 9 inches to about 5 1/2 feet.
IMG_20220805_.jpg

They are also surrounded by those 2x2 ft frames with holes drilled every 3 inches so I believe they can be properly secured. Hate to have to do this but as is, they will never withstand a storm with buds on them.
Thanks for the 411 on the pot. sulfate. Will add it every other waterring without the nutes. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Otherwise, still mending the back from that lame-ass golf swing I did last week. Heading out tomorrow for a bit of kayak camping in the eastern town-ships to close-up my summer vacations.
Hope all is well with you as well. Have a great and hopefully warm week-end.
Cheers.

PS. I see one of these buggers once in a while. Do you knpow if they are invasive?
IMG_20220805_bv.jpg

I killed it. I have that Safer's insecticidal soap and some neem oil around somewhere but have yet to use either.
I hate being such a pest but will carry this knowledge to my future grow and not be such a nuissance.
As usual, much appreciated.

Just a thought, if you cut a big part off the top, make a clone out of it.
That way it's not wasted.
Ok have a great time Kayaking :yahoo: and stay dry.
Take care.

I was thinking about that, Bill but all my 2 inside spaces are full with 2 in flower and 3 clones. One of which is going outside very soon when I up-pot.
I can try that outside but doubt that they will root before going into flower which I think is just a few weeks ahead. Thank you for your quick reply on the last. You responded faster than I could take 2 pics and edit my entry.
See that bug? Is it a baddy?
Thanks again.
