BrixNewb's First Grow & Beyond

Wow! Your Ultra Dawgs look as amazing as mine! Excellent work Brix. :high-five: Feels good to have things humming along again, doesn't it? Don't worry about the appearance of the wounded girl. She'll make it to harvest. We don't grow them for the leaves, although that specimen did take a beating, didn't she? I've done worse and come out with something worthwhile to show for it in the end. I have great faith in your ability to have S. Lime Cookies get to the finish line with a product that'll make you smile.

I have a Thin Mint GSC that smells more like chocolate every day. Does your girl smell strongly of lime? That suggests a wonderful, cerebral buzz ahead. :slide:

The photos always seem to be in my favor. In person my Ultra Dogs don't look bad, but a few older leaves have some rust colored spots. But still doing good for me. It does feel good to have things going much better and at a point where I am ok with my progress. My wounded S.Lime Cookies girl will be just fine, when I first started with the kit I had a few plants that suffered a similar fate and they all gave me 3+ ounces, so I have no worries.

Maybe a bit like lime, but she doesn't have a super pronounced smell to me, at least not at this time. But I may be noseblind.

Alright, so I am back with some pictures of the whole gang! In veg we have all kinds of different characters, just successfully cloned the Critical + plant, so they are in there. Have two seedlings of Goliath from In House Genetics going on. Chem Blazzin from Straysmindset is in there, Lucy Cruz from Dusted Bud, a Tesla from Alphakronik (only one, hoping it's a girl!), Jack Herer, Blueberry, some crazy CBD hybrid (A-Tonic x Rebel OG x Herijuana I believe), and a Katsu Bubba x Blueberry Temple from Stray as well. Everyone seems to be doing alright with the exception of the Lucy Cruz girls. They stalled on me in the beginning, and seem to be slow right now, especially one. They may not make it to the next tent.

Super Sour Lime #1 is still in veg, rocking out. These plants were go-getters from the start and I am very excited to see what they produce.

Ultra Dog 2 is an absolute bush. This pheno doesn't seem to stretch, so I am vegging this one out to see what I can get it to produce.

That's all in the veg tent aside from some beans that I am waiting to see above ground. On to the bloom tent, a lot going on in there, it's almost full and just looking as good as ever! Super Sour Lime #2 is the newest member in the bloom room and she is looking as good as her sister, a little taller, so she got advanced first.

Kali AK 47 got a nice trim today. This was a clone I got from Tead and she is an absolute bush as well!

Ultra Dog 1 was a bush, but I feel like I may have went a bit overboard with the trimming. She is putting on some nice little buds and they are quite frosty! Very excited for these Ultra Dogs to pass the finish line.

Next up is a trio of girls that I got as clones from Tead. These are Critical + #1-3. I am hoping they are Dinafem Critical + and not version 2.0, I would be interested to have a strain with some moderate amounts of CBD. I will have to talk to the Tead man and see what this is exactly.

The last girl in the update tonight is the closest to the finish line, S.Lime Cookies. This was a clone from a previous plant I grew and harvested that had a nice smoke to it. This one seems to have lost microbial activity after Cat Drench, something I saw elsewhere here, but she is going to make it to the finish line just fine within the next week or two.

If you do the 1/4 transplant with your straight waterings it will help keep the herd happy. Growth will keep the energy up in the soil and transplant keeps the microbes happy. Are you doing transplant drenches in veg or just growth? They really seem to love a transplant drench in veg especially if they are getting close to needing transplanted.

In veg I am doing 1/4 Trans waters twice then Growth Drenches. I am using 1.5-2mL of Trans with one gallon of water to make a 1/4 trans water. You thinking hit them with a Trans Drench in veg huh? This S.Lime Cookies looked pretty decent and just took a nose dive after Cat Drench.

Nice plants..

Today I took down the S.Lime Cookies girl. She looks so good on that drying rack all frosty. Hopefully she brings a little weight with her, been a while since the last harvest, so I could really use some love.

I have been hitting some plants with Rescue Drench these past few days, one due to a long veg and then two more due to some lightening. Well I just opened a small thing of Transplant about two weeks ago and man, I used it all up. I am completely out of Transplant! Going to order some more, I think I can skate by until then.

The cloning experiments are going.....still dialing it in and coming up with the exact process. Definitely a learning experience, but I am honing it every day. Excited to see it come together.

Please use Transplant in veg, especially prior to Transplanting. You can use 1/4 dose for Transplanting but do a full drench in between growth and after the following watering.

This why the Cat Drench got you. The soil waa only getting Nitrate and then you hit them with organic an ammonia N and the crew in the soil wasn't trained up right.

Will definitely do this. Appreciate that.

The new growth looks good so I wouldn't worry. I have noticed that once damage is done to a leaf it doesnt recover much.

I have plenty of veg plants, so I am not too worried at this point. I hope it pulls through, but if not, I have more seeds of the strain and will keep it moving.

So I am out of Transplant right now waiting on some more from Doc, I have been giving girls that need a watering just plain RO water and they are LOVING it! Leaves praying like nobody's business!

I got a visit from Tead yesterday and we made some discoveries about the clones I got from him. What I thought were Ultradog clones were actually his OG Kush clones, or an OG Kush hybrid and what I thought was Critical + 2.0 clones are actually Ultradog clones. I have wanted to get his OG Kush for a while, so I am super excited to be able to grow it out and give it a try. It's the bushiest plant I have ever come across. Insane little bush.

So are you actually smoking now??

I smoke a few times a year. I definitely plan on smoking my CBD strains when they are harvested. And the OG Kush for that matter, going to have to give it a try as well. But for the most part, no, not a huge smoker still. I smoked a little in Jamaica.

Just when you think things are looking up! I swear. I noticed some rust colored spots on a few plants, mainly this one particular strain, some of which (3) are in bloom, some (2) in veg, but all from the same mother I believe. So I break out my Destress and get to spraying. That's when I notice some webbing on the top side of some lower leaves! I switched tactics and put together a Neem foliar with some Destress mixed in a drenched all the girls in bloom except for one that seems to be close to the end and doesn't seem to have any spots. I did have one other plant outside of this strain that seems to have a few spots. I have high hopes for her, so hopefully she comes out fine. Still early enough in bloom to keep spraying her.

The two clones in veg that had the spots I simply pulled. I don't have time to play around with mites, so they have to go. Back on bug patrol!

Hey everyone, haven't had access to the forum lately. Everything is going. I did some thinking about the kit and how after two years I just can't seem to get a grasp on it. Decided to order some Advanced Nutrients grow/bloom A&B for coco with the pH perfect. Going to give that a run and see if I can get a grasp on keeping a plant healthy with a method other than the kit. I enjoy the kit and it gets me about three ounces per plant, but my plants look like hell. I will be back when I can with another update.

Good luck!:passitleft:
If you want simplicity, go with Osmocote+. My first grow was a OC+ grow. Mix or topdress and water when needed. Done. I got a bottle on sale for $5-6. There is a in-depth topic here about OC+. Doc bud was a part of. That's how I learned about HB. Return that other stuff that will be more work than the kit.
