BrixNewb's First Grow & Beyond

Bud comparison.
Visiting BD bud in the middle. Some of my BD buds around it.
The visitor has prettier colors with much more gold hairs.
My BD clone had slightly denser/heavier buds. The smell from the locally grown BD is much more severe too.... gas and pine.
The effect from both is a typical sativa mind hit. I think mine is heavier. It makes great mixing material with a nice strong indica.
Got just over 1oz from the 2L BD grow.

Prediction, prognostication, or gambling.... your call.

I have a prediction.
We can format the prediction many ways.
We can just banter the words about here.... forming the simple prediction option.
I could scrounge up a crystal ball and rub on it some.... thus forming the prognostication option.
Last, but way not least, we could just plunk down our nickels (1 ea) and gamble.

The subject you wonder....
I suspect that you and all that you share UD1 Boom (your pheno) with will put it down declaring it to be stronger than they desire.

My nickel's mighty shiny and ready for the challenge... care to toss a nickel into the ring?
 
Did you have some of my BD to compare as well?

S said she likes your prediction and loves a challenge. She doesn't like the super heavy indicas, but beyond that she is always down for some potency.

Yours was the 'visiting bud' in the middle of the bud photos.

Does your sweetheart mix and match? I've really been digging the sativa indica mixes. Right now I'm burning a BD/OGK 50/50 mix that's just the best balance of the two effects.
If I were to sum up UD1Boom, I would probably use the phrase "super heavy indica"... so she might want to cut it with a nice sativa.
 
Hey guys, I made it online! Just at the right time too. I have been having some problems with my soil which has led to the garden being very sparse. Right now I have one clone in veg and two plants in bloom. I ordered two more kits and have the soil cooking. Tead was kind enough to provide me with a bunch of clones so that I can get the garden up and running as soon as the soil is ready. I will be moving the grow into a larger space which will allow me to double my areas. Veg will be 4x4 and bloom will be 4x8. I look forward to the move since I can have more variety in my garden and have some flexibility. I look forward to being back online and able to visit again, computer isn't cooperating right now.
 
I just thought I do a drive by.. Tead mentioned ya, and I won't hold that against ya.... Even if I should... JK.. Hope you don't mind if this old Redneck takes a peek every now and then... I never leant to read,,, so I just look for pictures. It will take me a second to catch up...

I am about the same way. There are a few threads I read, but other than that I simply look at the pretty pictures and you rarely hear a peep out of me. But always glad to have anyone who cares to follow, all advice and criticism is welcome, because I am the newbest of the newbs. That being said the garden is at a transitional point right now, so not much going on. Have to battle some spider mites before changing up the grow altogether here shortly.

Pretty plants? Don't lie to the guy Tead! But I did some investigating last night and I think I may be the one with the mite problem. Not sure if the BD brought it out your way as I just saw signs with my S.Lime Cookies girl and foolishly chalked it up to genetic defect. Then with life being a bit busy and time in the grow being slim I just never noticed it, but I have the webs and the signs all up and down the S.Lime Cookies girl and webs on the Ultradog. The good news is that I have the Neem on hand and I am dispatching a nice foliar every 2-3 days are per the instructions. Not too worried, but it's going to slow the changes obviously. Want to take care of the issues before we go throwing a ton of plants together.
 
Alright, so a bit of good news, a bit of bad news. Bad news is that I have some spider mites living in the current grow. I am hitting them with the Neem and hoping for the best. On the good side of things, I only have 3 plants total going right now.

In other news I was able to get the 4'x8' tent assembled today, man is this thing huge! Super excited to have the much needed room! I normally only have one strain at a time due to constraints but this should allow me the freedom I need! I have to get some more things for the grow room tomorrow before I can get everything hung, but I am super stoked for the new space.

It still won't be enough room, trust me lol. I have those same dimensions for flowering and veg. I am always killing plants I don't have room for. I want rooms now lol. Have a good one bud, good to see ya around.
 
Mornin BN! Have you talked to Doc about the mites? I'm not sure if Neem is very comparable with the kit. Maybe you could try a leaf wash in them. Doc has one that seemed to help us immensely. Only downside of it is it smells like fish guts, but it gives those beautiful shiny leaves that makes people say they look fake. Lol!

4x8 is pretty sweet man! I remember when we started out in a 2x4. We wanted to fit 4 plants in it. Not were we mistaken! Lol! Have a good day man, and say hi to the Mrs please.

Glad to see you too man. I am going to get with you soon about a pretty simple HVAC question, but now isn't the time. For me the space will be amazing, I would always love more room, but I am also lazy, I am already dreading 10 plants in bloom. So it's that give and take with me!

I have not talked to the man about the mites, they aren't a huge issue since it's only two plants, one of which is done and less than stellar. On top of that I am changing the whole setup and everything will be scrubbed down nicely, so I am just weathering it with the Neem that I already have on hand.

I have the 4x8 setup and man it is sweet! Very excited. So much room for activities!

The grow is a bit split up right now. I have the bloom area at one location and the veg at another since I have the mites. The veg has one plant growing, two clones from Tead just potted and getting adjusted to the light schedule and then I have like 8 clones he gave me laying down roots using his dog poo bag method. If you haven't checked this cloning method out, stop by his journal and give it a look, I think it may be the simplest, most effective way of cloning.
 
So the dog poo bag method of cloning is working for you? Good to hear. How long do you figure they've been rooting?

I'm excited that you have a new room, you lucky, lucky man. I know in my heart if I had a room I'd want two. :laughtwo:
