BrixNewb's First Grow & Beyond

Green Crack looking a bit light. Going to give her a healthy drink see how she recovers.

Blueberry Headband Clone vegging out nicely.

Jack Herer has been in her 2 gallon pot for way too long. She will be rescued here in a week or so.

Budzilla Clone #2 was a bit of an experiment to see what kind of plant I could grow in a 2 gallon pot. I think I found my answer: a pitiful one. Not really expecting much from her.

Blue Dream is in bloom now, we will see how this one does.

Blueberry Headband is looking nice. Buds everywhere you look, nice and frosty and the smell is amazingly fruity! Loving this one so far.

Budzilla Clone #1 is looking good. Budzilla was super frosty, hopefully this guy follows suit.

Chocolope Kush Clone #2 has been a bit of a pain in the butt lately. Plucked a banana the other day, found 2 immature seed pods so far. Nothing big, still has nice flowers, should be coming down in the next week or two.

That Blueberry Headband is an attractive looking thang ain' she?

And the Chocolope Kush is a classic - very nice! :thumb:

The Blueberry Headband is quite a looker, but the smell is the real highlight. The Chocolope Kush pheno that I have has very weak stems. She actually just got the chop, I found a littler cluster of bananas and decided I didn't want to deal with it. She was close anyway, so down she came.

Got the dry weight on that Chocolope Kush plant that took up so much room in the tent: 114 grams. I am happy with that weight, but I am not sure I am ready to allow future plants to take up so much space for an extra ounce or so. Coming back later with picture updates of all the girls.

The newest addition to the team is Original Granddaddy Purple:

Green Crack was yellowing, I wasn't feeding her enough, Doc Bud pointed that out and now that I am trying to remember to up the feedings the new growth is looking nice and green!

DSC_0003136.JPG

Blueberry Headband Clone, not really much to say.

DSC_0005131.JPG

Jack Herer is the newest addition to the bloom tent, just moved her over, interested to see how she turns out with her super tight node spacing.

DSC_0009123.JPG

Budzilla Clone #2 is the 2 gallon experiment. I don't think I will see an ounce of off this girl, although the frost on this one is nice, just like her mother.

Blue Dream is a recent addition to the bloom tent, looking nice and healthy, pretty excited to see how DBHB Blue Dream comes out!

Budzilla Clone #1 is right around the corner from Cat Drench. Frost is already coming on and she is looking pretty healthy, I think I may be getting the hang of this!

Blueberry Headband will be the next up on the chopping block, although from the looks of it, I think she will be with us another 2-3 weeks at least. She is nice and frosty and the fruity aroma coming off of her is absolutely intoxicating!

I have been super busy with life lately, not sure how much longer it will last, but I will get some picture updates in the next day of two. I added another old style Mars Hydro 300 to the veg tent. temps are 78-80, so that's good.

Blueberry Headband hit the jars tonight. She gave me right at 3 ounces. Got an early smoke report before they were dry and the preliminary testing is looking good. Says the high is of the same caliber as my Dusted Bud girls, which is excellent.

Life has kept me busy lately, but I found some time to snap some pictures and give a little update. Really just business as usual over here, just some new faces.

Original GDP with some crispy leaves.

Green Crack has my patented leaf funk like only I can do. Doing alright besides that.

Blueberry Headband Clone is vegging out. Doing fine, I just harvested the mother and she has gotten glowing reviews so far.

Jack Herer is just starting to put on the flowers. Very early. This was a pheno with super tight nodes, they have stretched a little bit, but they are still super tight.

DSC_0014118.JPG

DSC_0015115.JPG

Blue Dream is really impressing me. She was put into flower a day before another plant I am growing, despite them having the same amount of nodes, Blue Dreams flowers are noticeably bigger everywhere with very heavy frost for this early. I wish I had taken a clone, but I am sure HSO has their genetics on point. Very happy with the looks of this girl.

Budzilla Clone #1 is doing alright. Hogging up more than her share of the tent, she needs to reel it in so I can fit my next girl in there.

Blue dream rages

I am seeing that. Frost is very strong despite not getting Cat Drench. I usually top my plants, Blue Dream didn't get topped and her main bud is thick and luscious, so I may stop the top for a while and see how it goes.

The 2 gallon Budzilla experiment is in jars and it gave me 41 grams. Going to stick with my 5 gallons pots.

GDP is looking ok in her one gallon pot. Leaves are a little light, but I think she will be just fine.

Green Crack is a real pain in the butt. This is almost 3 months in veg (18/6) and she is budding. No idea why and she looks like crap.

Blueberry Headband Clone is looking pretty, she is in the bloom tent and got a trim tonight.

Jack Herer is just 4 foot long skinny buds. Interested to see if she thickens up.

DSC_0010125.JPG

Blue Dream has really impressed me! She is a very happy plant and has some amazingly thick, resinous buds. Excited to smoke this one!

Blue Dream is really turning out to be a nice plant. Probably the healthiest plant I have ever grown. I am very impressed with Humboldt Seed Organization, their Blueberry Headband was another top notch plant.

DSC_0007130.JPG

DSC_0005135.JPG

Jack Herer is doing good so far. She is due to finish within the next few weeks and is also looking pretty good. The node spacing was very tight which I believe led to a lot of shaded areas on the plant, so I don't think the yield will be very impressive.

DSC_0002138.JPG

The last girl I have in the bloom tent is a clone of the Blueberry Headband that I grew out a little while back. This plant is looking pretty happy and healthy so far.

DSC_0004138.JPG

DSC_0003140.JPG

I have room for one more plant in the bloom tent, but I had to cull Green Crack, so it will be a while before I have another plant to put in there.

Blueberry Headband is coming along, looking nice and healthy. She got tall but looks like she is slowing down to grow some buds.

DSC_002494.JPG

Jack Herer was a weird plant for me with her super tight nodes. I am not getting the plant structure I am used to, so we will see how the quality and yield is with her. She is 4 long bud spears. She looks almost done in my opinion despite having over 2 weeks to the 60 day mark.

Blue Dream is one for the record books. She is very happy with whatever I have thrown at her, she is super frosty, and her buds are very thick as well. I am interested to see what kind of yield I get from her. Combined with the Blueberry Headband, if Blue Dream turns out on that level, Humboldt Seed Organization genetics will find a permanent place in my garden.

I also noticed that my Jack Herer has started making some bananas, so I plucked those off and will check her out again tomorrow. Might be an early chop for that girl too.

Yo BrixNewb,
So glad I found your yard man.:goodjob:
Impressive growing and strain choices. I have always been a fan of HSO gear.
I still have more pages to catch up on in your journal but consider me subbed.

Stage man, glad you came through! I have been watching you since before you tried the Brix, so glad to have you man. I actually chose most of my strains based on what others were growing on the 420mag and just tried a bit of this and that. So far the HSO and Dusted Bud Genetics have proven to be head and shoulders above the rest. I still have quite a bundle of seeds to go through and try, but HSO and Dusted Bud will be staples of the perpetual from now on.

The world wasn't having it at first, but the planets aligned and here I am with an update!

Granddaddy Purple just got a Rescue Drench due to low soil energy. She got nice and light before I caught it, but I am sure she will bounce right back.

GDP76.JPG

Blueberry Headband is a clone from a plant I grew before. Received high praise from absolutely anyone who tried it, so I am excited to have it coming back into bloom. She will be ready for Cat Drench shortly, going to give her another round of Growth before I hit her with Cat.

Jack Herer gave me my first exercise in banana picking the other day. I have never had a plant hermi on me that I have noticed, so I was surprised when I saw a few bundles of bananas. I got the tweezers out and went to picking and have inspected her daily since and don't see any other bananas. Her flowers aren't very big, but she is 4 long spears of bud.

DSC_0005136.JPG

Blue Dream is a very impressive plant for me. She is an average sized plant as far as height goes, but she has the thickest buds that I have grown to date. She was not topped and her main cola is a huge monster. Beyond that she is super frosty and smells amazing. Picked a few test buds the other day, she looks like she will be ready soon and I cannot wait. This is the second strain from Humboldt Seed Organization that I will be growing and she looks like she will be just as impressive as Blueberry Headband. Fingers crossed.
