The last Cookies Kush I grew hermied on me right when pistils started coming in. Seems to be a common problem with Cookies Kush, but I decided to give it another shot.

Tead was gracious enough to gift me with a clone from his OG Kush. I have high hopes for this plant and perhaps I can show him how it does in Doc Bud's kit.

I've been singing love songs about her lately. She's such a fast girl with such wonderful smoke.
Some notes about her...
She sux to clone. It takes about a month before you see roots on her. Having said that, I've been cloning her for years now.
She doesn't purple up for me unless I'm underfeeding her. In her case, purple is bad.
I've been blaming the 3 fingered leaves on my heat... I'll be curious to see if you see less of it.
One of my health indicators for her is the color. You're seeing a really nice color change between the old and new growth in your photo. When she's overfed her new growth appears much darker and will take on a shiny/rubbery appearance.


Be sure to grab a clone from her if you have the room in your cloner. I suspect she'll be a winner in your garden.
OH! We could have a clone race. Cut clones on the same day and compare them as they go.
 
So I chopped a couple clones from the GDP freebie I threw into flower. Since it was a feminized freebie I didn't bother sexing it. Threw it in flower a while back, looked at it today and the damn thing is all balls, no pistils. Now I see why I got it as a freebie!

The crops can be grown for three months under a long photoperiod (18 or more hours of light). The light cycle is then cut to 10 hours. Although the harvest is young (about five months) there will be many more female flower buds than with normal flowering. More plants will develop female flowers initially, and male plants usually reverse to females after a few weeks of flowering."

My blue dream in Docs kit. Im just finishing up the last of it. I had 2 phenos, that one and a tall lanky one. That one really knocked my socks off tho. Gotta love HSO genetics :)

I just took down a clone of the Blueberry Headband last week and jarred it the other day. Super sticky! HSO has definitely proved to be solid this far and I look forward to trying some more of their genetics, but first I have a ton of Dusted Bud genetics to get through, they have also proved to be top quality.

Little picture update today. Not a ton going on, all of these are in the veg tent, bloom tent is full of Dusted Bud girls.

Blue Dream is back on the prowl. Didn't realize this was my last Blue Dream seed. I think I need to order some Humboldt Seed Organization strains shortly.

I have grown Cookies Kush once before and when it went into bloom it was a hermie right out of the gate. These seeds are known for their hermies, but I decided to give her another chance. So far I am not impressed at all, the veg tent has 50 watts per square foot of light and is only 5' tall and this plant is lanky as hell. The node spacing is pretty sparse, so I lowered the light and if I upcan it I will bury it as much as I can.

I was given a beautiful OG Kush clone by the gracious Tead and I am doing what I can. She was thirsty in this picture and watered right after. Interested to see how she turns out and compare it with Teads hempy produce.

That strain of OGK is really easy to 'read' in my garden.
She's not a purple girl. If you see purple on the new growth, it's a sign of underfeeding.
She has a nice variation of color between the lime green of veins and darker green leaves.
New growth will come out similarly lime colored, but darken fairly quickly.
If the leaves take on a deep green rubbery appearance, you're right on the cusp of an overfeed.... back off.

Again.... my garden and my world. I would expect different things in your world.

The only thing I have going on that isn't a Dusted Bud strain right now is my little Blue Dream girl. Love HSO and man this plant looks like she is going to be a foxy one.

Yeah Tead, been a bit busy here lately and aside from a couple things I am running all the Dusted Bud strains. I am going to have to attempt to clone your OG Kush as I have absolutely no room in the flower tent for anything right now, so....

Although this Blue Dream is looking lovely. Just upcanned to the one gallon.
 
I took 4 clones from the Blue Dream and moved her into the bloom tent. She was 15" tall, I think that's a good height for my setup. Fingers crossed that the clones do well, hoping to have this strain going all the time.
 
Alright, a little bit of an update. No pictures, but will get some soonish as I can.

Blue Dream clones, two remain and they have just pushed out roots, should be put into one gallon pots either tonight or tomorrow night.

The Blue Dream plant is in the bloom tent starting to push out the pistils and looking quite lovely. I swear that these HSO strains are some happy girls no matter what you throw at them.

In the veg tent I have a clone that I am pretty sure is Cookies Kush. Last time I flowered out Cookies Kush it was a full on male (if memory serves me well, it might not) despite the seeds being feminized. Decided to give it another shot. We will see how it goes. So far looking good.

Yesterday I dropped a Pakistani Chitral Kush bean. This is a new strain for me, always excited for new strains.

That's really all that's going on right now, I do have some Dusted Bud strains going in my other journal, feel free to stop by and check them out if you haven't already. Some top notch strains for sure.
 
Today one of the Blue Dream clones was ready to head to her new home in the one gallon pot. She is nice and cozy in there, hopefully tomorrow her sister will accompany her as well.
 
Blue Dream is just starting to push out pistils. She is a very good looking plant so far. Just hit her with a Recharge tonight.

So the garden is chugging along. In flower I have a Blue Dream. I have started watering twice between drenches and going back to drenching (I was being lazy) and the plants have seemed to respond nicely. I believe the two waters between drenches is the key. Plants still aren't 100%, but they produce well beyond my requirements, so I am happy.
