Brix, Buds & Blades: Knifemaker420's Auto Perpetual Garden

Oh also forgot to mention I wasn't entirely confident in the el'cheapo temp/humidity sensor that came with my tent so I picked up an Inkbird unit that transmits the info by wifi to my cellphone so I can check on it anytime without having to physically open the tent to look at the display on the old one.
It logs and graphs the info from the sensor. This morning I was looking at the app and the one graph was showing spikes in temp where it would peak at 26°c and drop down to 25°c in a cycle every 50 minutes. I was trying to figure out what was causing the fluctuations. Then it occurred to me that the central air was kicking on and raising the temp, then it would shut off and the room would cool.

Pretty cool tool for under $40.00
Yeah, I'm wanting to get my hands on one of those as well. Nifty shit right there.

You're using Promix eh?
Yes, promix hp with mycorrhiza.
I've done nothing so far except pre soak the pots 24 hrs before I put my seeds in. Its been 5 days today since they came up and I havent given them anything yet. Not even water. Waiting for the pots to dry up and bit more before I start watering. I'll be using RO water with a 1/4 dose of Advanced nutrients mgb and voodoo juice

I was using Promix. Thought it was great stuff. Not so much. Switched to coco. Never going back.

This is my first grow so basically a learning experiance a d hopefully get a couple ounces out of the 3 plants.
My next grow I'll be using the High brix kit. Pretty sure it also uses promix, just "cooked" with all the stuff from Doc bud and some worm castings.
Thanks for dropping by my journal.
Feel free to jump in with advice etc especially if you see somthing wrong that I, in my newbness, don't.

Just watch for burn later on .

Its digital. Temp has been gaining a few degrees a day since I started running it. It was hanging between 77-82 untill this morning.
Looks like an ac unit is in my mear future...
Ive also been given permission from the boss (my wife) to make a hole in the celing inside the closet to run my exhaust pipe into. Hopefully that should help a bit too
On the digital timers they have the program button which turns the timer from “OFF” “ON” and “AUTO”. Make sure it’s set to the “AUTO” setting for it to function as required!

Hey those look familiar! Haha I love my Inkbird units and would definitely recommend them or something similar for monitoring your grow area! I have a set for each grow tent and I love them!

Some deffinate growth overnight last night. Elayne(Gelato) is still in the lead but Min (NL) is close on her heels. Aviendha (Zkittles) is doin her own thang but looking good.

On a side note I just took the plunge and ordered @Doc Bud's High brix kit for my next grow. Looking forward to seeing the difference between this grow and my next using the kit.

Looking great and off to a good start!

Why didn’t you like? I’ve been using ProMix HP and love it! Everyone has their own methods just curious as to why you didn’t like it!

It burnt my plant a bit.
And I might as well start using the food I bought a couple years ago. And coco is alot nicer and cleaner.

Were you using promix hp or the bx? As far as I know Promix hp has nothing in it that should have burned your plants.

Not sure the HP or bx, but this is the stuff I was using.

Ok yeah, this is the stuff I'm using.
promix_hp_myco_38_m20381.jpeg.jpg

Its pretty much just peat moss, vermiculite, and mycorrhiza. It has no nutes in it out of the bag. It gets treated like a coco medium. I have heard that the promix bx and the promix organic can be a bit "hot" especially for younger plants.

Yeah, I've never seen the promix HP. Looks like good stuff. The promix organic is no good for cannabis period.

Update day 7
Morning 420 fam,
Not alot to report, all 3 of my plants are progressing. Last night I gave all 3 a bit of water. (I mixed a litre and a half of RO water with 2ml of voodoo juice) each plant got about a half litre watered in a ring about 2" from the stem. This is the first water I've given them except the preliminary drench of the promix. All 3 looking happy and perky this morning so I think they liked it.

Lookin very green this morning.

Happy & healthy seedlings you've got there @Knifemaker420! :bravo:
Thanks. If it werent for all the help and generous sharing of knowledge here, I would likely have already killed them with kindness lol.
I'm seriously surprised by how little they actually require.
Fingers crossed they continue being happy and healthy plants.
