Boo’s Perpetual Grow Journal

lol, yes thank you. I know you were fluttering between 1/2 and 3/4, so to save any guessing I stated no more than 1tsp. Spunky little girl tonight.
LOL. Not spunky - it just goes against all the advice I've read or gotten. I think the original problem perhaps too much potash (silica in the ProMix, Protekt, and Bloom nutes have a good amount of silica). And then I overfed her with an increase in the Bloom amounts. She was too full to feed today, and I'm still gonna take your advice because you are the best looking one of the bunch, but I don't think her bottom half is going to like it! For science. :high-five:

lol, OK let's go with that.
Earlier I did state 'unless you know of a reason why you can't go higher than I would go to 1tsp/gal'. Just so I'm clear on this, because that word is being thrown out a lot today, the lower leaves you said were fading, correct?

I think maybe when I went higher before I caused the bad browning issue.
That was the top leaves we were looking at earlier, wasn't it? Or was the browning on the lower leaves and at one point they started to fade. I'm trying to remember but it's not working very well.
Hopefully that make sense? I'm a little high. :cheesygrinsmiley:
You make a lot more sense when you're high :)

The really brown ones were the top canopy leaves. No burned pistils. Originally the largest lower fans started to fade, and then faded more and upwards and her leaves were cupping. I gave her more nutes, then she didn't seem to react well - so I flushed her and went back to the norm of 1/2 tsp per gal. Then the browning started. And the rest is history!

Thanks. You too. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Okie dokie. I think you'll be fine at 1tsp for one feeding and see what happens. It's hard to say if the reaction at 3/4 tsp was related to the nutes or not. The fading of the lower leaves is a sign that it's lacking N, and the Bloom doesn't have a lot of N compared to a nute like MC, so the fade may be partly due to that.

Good Wednesday Morning! Here's a little Zkittles update. She is doing well. She is pretty. :cheesygrinsmiley:

She is a happy gal too.
Now onto more clues for Columbia (aka @MrSauga ). I have this unit, I look at the temp and humidity when I'm in the room. I reset the "history" on the Max and Min temps and humidity. I don't know how to really utilize this tool, but I think I should figure that out. I'm off to spend the day with my mom. Stay stoned.

Lt. Columbo! He was never in Columbia. :cheesygrinsmiley:
Nothing to really utilize with them. They are just giving you an idea of what the minimum temperature and RH was over a 24 hour period, the same with the high settings.

The OUT number is referring to the temp and RH sensed from the cable. The IN number for temp and RH is sensed from the unit itself. So you can place the unit outside of your tent and monitor the values that show for OUT as long as the cable is inside the tent.

You can look for things such as night and day temps(lights on and off) and monitor the swing. Most cannabis plants like a temp swing of around 10 degrees between day and night.

Stupid autocorrect!

Yes. I did try that with it last night and I felt the range of numbers was a little frightening! I reset it, turned the timer off on the little heater in the Playhouse, out the cable inside the tent and the unit outside of it. We shall see the results. More clues for you tomorrow Mr. Columbian. :laughtwo:
Oh! I doubled the Bloom nutes to 1 full teaspoon per gal today too! :high-five:

OIC. Well if it's like mine the min/max never read accurately. Everyday I would reset mine and it would start out normal. When I checked the next day the RH always showed 99%, yet it was never raining in the tent.
