Boo’s Perpetual Grow Journal

Haven't heard of any fatalities yet, so that's good. We'll be fine where we are situated....higher ground.

We are all just concerned about the farmers.
Gonna be hell to pay if the crops are washed out.
Iowa, Minnesota,South Dakota and Wisconsin all have flooding. We are the grain belt of the nation. Everyone should be a little worried.
Here we go! Hope not! 🙏

Good morning all! The fun times continue in Booville... First, here’s a look at the Wizard x Wookies. She is 3 weeks in flower. I don’t think the entire plant is pollinated, and boy is she sticky.

I had a bit of a slow start on the summer grow and so I decided, since it was still small enough, to pull the wedding cake out of the 45 gallon pot she was in and move her into the tent downstairs to hopefully prevent her from getting pollinated. The Alaskan Thunderfuck was already at 6’ or more so I really don’t have a choice with her. She started flowering on Monday…. This is what I woke up to this morning:

What.the.fuck? How can this be? She is in flower, I inspect her every day - more than once a day. How could this happen overnight? Is she really a he? Is she herming and if so, why? Is she pollinated? Is she a freak? I just can’t believe my luck. :eye-roll:

Good morning girlfriend 🌸

That looks like a boy to me. I think plants are like humans. Sometimes the hormones aren’t quite right, they become trapped in the wrong sex. You are born a girl. You are a girl. Then you get to your teenage years and with the hormone increase/decrease you realise you’re actually a boy, and the change begins.

All you can do is give Mother Nature the bird, dust yourself off and start again. You have a beautiful sun, a great grow area, an abundance of seeds and skillz for dayzzzzzz. You got this.

Oof!
Well, shit, Boo- I don't think he hermied, he's just a boy....I supppose it's better to find out now, as opposed to when she's covered with buds, and then decides to act like a boy.
Not much better, but a little...
All you can do is give Mother Nature the bird, dust yourself off and start again.
You may not have any bad luck left, so that's a good thing...

Let me help you with that...🖕🖕...

Growing up in the 70’s I recall very well how every year there would be a drought on weed. Every year we always tried to keep a stash aside to get us through those couple of months when you just couldn’t find shit. An old band back then called Commander Cody and his lost planet spacemen actually wrote a song that always reminded me of those times. This was before 1976 and the term and plant called sinsemilla. The title of the song was “ Down to seeds and stems again blues”
I too can’t imagine having to smoke my weed full of stems and seeds today.
So I’m with you on the 🖕🖕

We were only talking about this the other day. Christmas here was drought time. And that’s when the buried weed would make its way to the streets. It was always the worst too. I can remember cleaning the bong and smoking bong jam when things were bleak too. In hindsight I’m not sure why we didn’t plan better lol.

Happy August all! The carnival continues here…

This is the wedding Cake that I yanked out of her large pot two weeks ago. I flipped her the same day…she seems to be beginning to flower - she’s had a big stretch. I don’t recall it taking two weeks for a plant to flower in the tent, so we shall see what happens. Her roots are already starting to grow thru the bag. I had gone ahead and dropped a seed in mid July and then decided to drop 3 more, because I can. :cheesygrinsmiley: Here is Mimosa Cake. I love this strain. She was born on the 15th of July and I uppotted her last week because she had such a root mass. She has just start a growth spurt and is looking a bit like flowering. I will hopefully top her tomorrow.

I also dropped a Tangie, because I love that strain too. She and the other two were pretty much born the same day - 22 July.

I went ahead and dropped another Wookie x Wizard because, well, you can never have enough of anything that is Wookie related!

And last but not least, Queen G. This little gal decided to do a head down curly Q in the dirt, but I found her before it was too late and flipped her in the direction she should have gone. Lol. Finally, a question for @Justin Goody - have you noticed a range of flowering for the W x W? Mine is heading into 5 weeks flower and she’s looking very cloudy with just a few pistils here and there.

Looking really good and that’s freaking awesome that you have a couple different ones going now!

As for the WxW I just picked the first one. Was about 45 days in flowering and still had a branch with whites. Hard to know outside because they sometimes have cloudy trichomes early too. My ABB x W is very cloudy and still has at least a week or so. I’ve nicknamed her the dog hair 🧲 magnet 😆
