Good to know- I usually just top as soon as there's enough of node 4 to cut off, I may try waiting for flowers next time... There's something that seems to make your autos get bigger than most, maybe that's it...

I’ve successfully cloned a tiny top. Nice clean cut, dip it in clonex, stick it in dirt and bush bash bosh doneLol. No. It will be maybe an inch tall (if I’m lucky). I’ll try to remember to get a photo of it when I do it!

Miss Blue started to show flower today so I topped her.
This shows just how tiny the top is.
Miss Black seems to be slowing her stretch. But she did add close to 10 inches in the past week!

If you wanted to bet me that Miss Black was going to hit 35" I would have lost some change! Though having seen your autos take over tents that would have been foolish of me.

Yeah, with an auto you don't have that luxury since they start flowering at 3-4 weeks so I top them where they allow me to and is us usually very small!Oh I couldn’t grow a clone from a top that size

You should. They don't require quite as much attention and you can get a good harvest from them if they cooperate. My best was 12 oz in the Spring of 2021 and 10+ oz from the harvest before that. Unless I get a dud, I average 3-4 ounces per plant (I think...) And don't have to worry about 12/12. I top and train them too so there's that.
Dang! Did you grow them outdoors or was it a tent grow?

Tent grows. I’ve grown them outside but I really feel like it’s too hot in my area of VA for outside autos. I harvested a Zkittles in the January timeframe that I got 11oz from and followed up with a Chocodope which was a little more than 12 oz In the Spring. I’ve had several that were duds, but the decent ones were 3-4 ounces each which works for me! I try to do 2 in the tent but is has gotten crowded before. This was a pic of Chocodope in February.
And then in April. She was insane. And I so loved it!
It was a good grow!
