Bluter's Happy Home For Hilarious Hempsters

i go hard with the scissors. :cheesygrinsmiley:

i juice the fan leaves in smoothies sometime. it's actually really good for you. just fan leaves, ice, and fruit juice of preference in a blender. i'll bag them up and keep them in the crisper if i get enough.

edit : i normally use the fan leaf as support to get the branch to the bucket side during training, then lop it.

here's a quick pic of a powerplant with the structure i was shooting for

this one keeps busting the handcuffs on me. unlike quad training you keep 3 nodes.

the bottom node would get trained out on the bottom rung of the cage. usually about where the top is now.. the next node would train out on the same rung, and the top node would train out one rung higher.

the branching from the top two nodes is kept and trained through the cage however you like. usually a loose alternating grid pattern. looks like tic tac toe from the top.

not sure where i'm going with these now.

hi 420 ... here's your happy morning hempys .. :)

all cozy and unsuspecting ....

then ... yikes ! ... :cheesygrinsmiley:

everyone got a lopping and a strap. after a bit of reading up on ubt and quadding (again) i decided to go with hiw (tic tac toe) grid training, keeping three nodes, since the plants were well along.

the idea is to train everyone out to the sides of the pot and then let them run straight up. once the branches reach the sides, i have to build a cage, to keep the grid, and provide support in flower. i have piles of bamboo stick and gardening wire i can use.

i'm not training the lowers as flat as the top node, i want them to catch up to the top node. i'm hoping everyone is at the sides of the bucket by then. that will be the lollipop point and hopefully flip. since i have oval buckets, it won't be as uniform. perfect for tic tac toe / hiw grid. ;)

starting like a quad on the lowers ..

who gets X ? lol .. :Rasta:
top nodes to be tied as they develop. not everyone's on the same tracks .. have a cbdream leaner i might just let go after this intervention ..

really shoulda just went with it and tied it with the natural lst. the buckets are notoriously hard to keep upright in flower though. another reason for the grid. that one's going it's own way no matter. i might think about a re-pot even.

set for all the fun and bondage.
weird how @Virgin Ground doesn't traipse around so much here bondage and all... :cheesygrinsmiley:
Love hempys, looks great. Keep it up. I'll have to check out tic tac toe method.

heya friend,, your plants look all trimmed just a whole bunch like mine usually do,, tho i might have seven branches,, maybe even five,, not so precise as yours

i too save all the little corn buds and mini branches that form as the plant grows and smoothie them up every mornin,, least work days. fruit, cannabis and a bit of yogurt

great start to the day, indeed

plans lookin darn near perfect there,, nice

:ciao:

this looks close

one thing i do with these when i anchor the branches down like you have there, is i give the top branches a bit of a twist to one side,, i mean i move the clips for the top branches sideways round the pot a bit to 'twist' the top branches a bit,, this gives the bottom branches, which are directly below the top branches,, it gives the bottom ones a bit of clearance.

that pic above was a trifector i had a bit ago,,

I'll have to check out tic tac toe method.

i'm not really running it now. it needs a bigger bucket. if i find a smaller cage i'll try it. thought i could do it in a mini style.

I use 3gal trash bins from the dollar store lol
Same ones you see in someone's bathroom.

hiya syenite .. thanks for dropping by.

there are a few folk who have run coco hempy style before. it does seem seem to work a touch better in perlite. i'd use the coco if i had it lying around though.

i wouldn't buy coco just for it. perlite is pennies a grow by comparison. i get 110 ltr bales of the stuff for about $30 cdn. it's quite a few grows worth at 2L a pop for container size :cheesygrinsmiley:

Ah yes thanks for the tip! I somehow thought that perlite was less ideal for the environment but that's not true, so I'll happily stick with it.

i have those in a 5L size i use.

Super nice!

hey grow folk .. here's the morning hempys after the rest of the defol

lost a couple main branches when i tried caging, so moved some others around. the plants all have the structure in place now. not much adjusting left now.

will look at cleaning them up again in a wk or so. i'm thinking another 2 - 3 wks in veg and then move them to flower. the training and defol adds a wk to veg each time.

'Morning Bluter! Plants are looking great! Sorry to hear about the branches snapping, but to my noobish eyes they look great!

i tried a bad idea meant for larger plants lol

I think Joe Quadlines quite a bit

and quite successfully. i put myself behind it when i went with tiny hempy buckets.

i have loads of soil and promix, was gearing for a promix quad or other type of training run in larger buckets, but got vetoed by the folks. my pops wants to be able to move them around, and any real weight is out of the question. i been trying to convince him we could leave the plants in the space and just water / feed them there, but he won't listen.
