Bluter's Happy Home For Hilarious Hempsters

Bluter thank you!

If its alright with you I am going to basically rip off your idea in its entirety! I will always crediit you with “Bluter’s Genius Idea (TM - Bluter)”

The single worst thing I lack in growing skills (there are many but this is standout the worst) - training.

I have 18 girls going in Solos to harvest in a 4x4 tent. Your cage things here:

I’m thinking 18 of them solo cup sized would be perfect!

Might even attach them to the metal pallet.

So yeah - if its alright I’m going to use Bluter’s conical wire training method for them? Ok with you?

check with BC seed banks. northern lights and skunk was the root of 90's BC growing and they still harbour the originals out there.

it was the basis for most of my alberta grows in the 90's along with christmas bud. we always got the genetics from trusted BC suppliers.

Bc bud depot is one that I have tried before and they have some serious stuff. Back in my first grows I got some regulars of BC Mango it had a very interesting Sativa linage, I used it to make seeds. It was great, had some very interesting phenos come out of that. End up making something really nice and purple finisher. I would use them again but they don’t do that BC mango anymore.

Nice Dani, heard that Mango was fire. I grew their kush and it was fantastic. Lower on the yield side but smokin

Yeah bro, for breeding they have some regulars but they wont put up for sale their all starts genetics. I like these peps because they breeding here in my parallel so thats already a gain in terms of adaptation to climate. If they are breeding outdoors or indoors I don't have a clue. I hope they do outdoors because thats where the pest resistance is gained.

i like them for some of the legacy stuff. i'm not sure they have it though anymore. my understanding is they work with legacy farms from humboldt to maintain their genetic stock. they were big into regs as well.

Your phenos look great; are you going with bigger pots? and dude I meant to ask, I like your training how do you get the knuckles on the base of the node where the branch comes out?

honeslty i bash it around with air circulation. also i always grow well past the node i am topping, then cut back. i find doing those two things helps make it a bit heftier. i lose a wk or so more in veg though because of it.

right back to you.

are you finishing yours indoor this year ? super jealous of anyone who can outdoor grow.

they are pretty loyal to their growers if you work with them. for the med grow they would suggest strains for breeding purposes and weren't afraid to let us use the plants for it.

I stopped topping because of the week or so lost, but it shouldn’t matter to me when I grow outdoors, when I go indoors that’s a different thing. I replaced the topping with the pinch, break and bend. When I hit them on the right spot the apical branch stays put and the side branching leaps inches to match the height of that apical top, they set and start stacking growth. This can happen in 24 hrs it’s crazy fast.

Interesting technique of air circulation bashing the branch. Incredible how that can make enough resistance to make the cell walls bulk up like that creating the knuckles right there. It’s a very specific spot the donut in. I’m keep an eye on that. I thought you pinched them right there and I was like F@ck thats ballsy because one wrong movement the whole branch is compromised.

I’m mentally and logistically prepared to finish under lights this fall. I want buds of these plants. I’m placing some in pots, will probably clone the best of the best and figure something out to keep the phenos alive thru winter. I’m a one man band here so it’s freaking hard to be on top of everything. Can you grow a couple outside?

I have been thinking to contact BC bud depot, I send them some pics on their instagram and stuff… but I’m a nobody a underdog, why would they wanna work with me and the beans I got… I gotta keep working on my beans before I can knock on the doors.

:passitleft:

i been sorta absent. everything went sideways a bit. i think i figured it out. one way or another they are getting a jolt. i'm up potting today.

i'm not sure i'm reading the ec meter correct, but it's hitting the values i expected when i add the calmag. i'm gonna do a deeper dive into the meter and see if i've made a mistake.

the only difference is the amount of calmag, and i'm pretty certain i haven't got the full nute availability out of it either.

i'm gonna be way heavy on N though. not so thrilled about that.
Buy Calimagic if you can source it, practically no Nitrogen and better buffer capability than Calcium/Magnesium Nitrate. It contains Calcium Carbonate instead.

I believe T.A in EU has a straight copy without the chelated Iron. They state it contain Calcium nitrate but the NPK of 1-0-0 tells otherwise. Plants look good! Cheers!

thanks for popping by guys

a lot of times my lower nodes will surpass the one above after topping. in a wk or so the uppers rebound and take over again.

go have a look @InTheShed 's journal. he does an indoor/outdoor under several methods and supplements with indoor lighting to keep the plants moving. super nice grower and a solid OG.

we finish too late climate wise here. it's also restricted by the municipality, but folk still do. it's about an october finish here outdoor and killing frosts are already happening at that point.

i'm sure they'd recommend stock for you to work with though. if they worked with us i see no reason why they wouldn't with a serious home breeder. it was close to a decade ago so stuff may have changed but i don't see why.

right back :)

normally i don't need the n, but this grow is running about .20 ec above what the plants look to be eating. there's minimal or no claw at all and i have no tipping. i'm not pushing anymore but i'd like to see them taking touch more up.

i don't mind being a bit heavier on n than i am and i do like to see at least some tipping going into flower, lets me now the nute levels are going to sustain the plant. the stability is nice but i could see things sliding fast without a bit of a buffer going into flower.

hmm. could be an idea going forward into the next grow. i might make a move into sips this fall if i can swing it.

I would love to grow hempy bro. Plants are looking great!
Only reason why I don't, is because my neighbors might know something up having the much perlite in my outside soil..
Lol

you can reuse it. it's so cheap i don't bother normally. i do save it and either use in the outdoor hydro garden or rototill it into the regular vegetable garden.

edit : hempy is easy and clean. i taught a seniors course on it at a local community hall. it's good for condo or other small space dwellers - no dirt to clean up. another advantage is most of the equipment comes from the dollar store lol.

it's a bit of a jungle in here today

i just noticed the photo gallery changed so there is no way to search for your own photos anymore. you have to sift through absolutely everything.

not useful at all if you need an image to help someone.

they take off like a sips once they hit the res. sips looks more stable though to me.

I will never go Sip, no offense great setup especially for new growers but not my cup of tea. Rather do what you are doing tbh. I will never leave hand watering plants, not saying it better, just saying I'm set in my ways..lol
