Black African Magic (2), Cafe Racer and Malawi x Panama in SIP's

Having some fun tonight looking back with Lambs Bread :bongrip:

A gift of an Early Miss Auto seedling from Crop Kings. 3 - 4 wks old (?)

Betty 27 Oct 2020 web.jpg

Her temporary home 2 weeks later. Roughly 42 days old and not flowering yet o_O

Doesn't make sense, this would point to lack of adequate light contributing to a longer veg time ?

This is 2 months later under a 600w MH/HPS :yahoo:

A 2 gallon plastic pot (with added holes), ProMix HP, well water and Advances Nutrients M/G/B +

Yielded 13.2 oz

BTW > first image is uploaded, the other two were pasted from my Gallery.

Any one noticed any difference in how they display ?

Cheers
Man this image just reminds me of a head full of dreads!!! Impressive!!

Having some fun this evening with Cafe Racer :bongrip:

Another winner :yahoo:

The Black African Magic Ladies are ready for vac seal in mason jars !

Topped and trained yielded 5.43 oz.
Au natural yielded 4.93 oz

For a total of 10.46 oz !

Meanwhile the two remaining Ladies are still drinking but getting close

Day 83 of a total of 137...

Bud shots, Cafe Racer..

Malawi x Panama...

27 May Mal x Pan bud two.jpg

BTW > I've lowered the light to 75%, removed a front panel and added a large fan.

Hope that helps bring the temp down a bit, it was 83F ...

Cheers, eh ?

Day 85 of 139

I've reduced the feed to ~4g/gallon and the lights are now @ 75%.

The medium is moist to within a 1/2" of the top so I am not filling the reservoir every day, instead the Cafe Racer is getting ~ 2/3's of a gallon, the Malawi x Panama ~ 1/2 gallon.

With a full reservoir I had white fuzzies growing on top, rh is ~50%.

They have just now started to use the bottom fan leaves as I had hoped.

They are so close, I'll give them another week :yahoo:

The business end 😆

Full on...

The Black African Magic's will have to hang out in their tupperware containers until tomorrow

Cheers

I use those same containers between dry and jar. Lol.

Okay, so now I'm starting to get a little concerned, in a good way ;)

Went to grind up some of the Black African Magic #2 and got nowhere. Normally I can grind ounces before cleaning my grinder, just gets a little harder to turn, he, he..

But, after one load it was darn near impossible with this bud o_O

The Absolute Stickiest buds I have ever grown

So, cleaned to brand new and went at it...

This is after less than 2g !

Still to come is a taste test, if the scissor scrapings are any indication I better have my ducks in a row first :yahoo:

Cheers

Finally, after 144 days this grow is harvested and the last two are hanging :yummy:

Cafe Racer, what can I say. First time I needed a step ladder to do a wet trim 😆

I will admit I am vertically challenged :yahoo:

Four views, rough wet trimmed...

Congrats on your harvests, Chuck! You truly grow beautiful plants. Sorry I missed the last of them but I've been having eye issues for 2 months. Hopefully, my eye appointment on Tuesday will clear things up including my eyes.

I'll look forward to the smoke reports. And, like @CaptainLucky , your description of the scissor hash makes me want to try the African Black Magic too. :battingeyelashes:

Thank You @HashGirl !

That sucks, good luck at the doc's, eh ?

So busy I haven't had a block of time to try her yet but I'm ready :bongrip:

She was easy to grow, nutrients topped out at 5g/gallon of MC, large leaves and large internodal spacing resulted in golf ball size buds. And at a little over 4' high she was a "medium" size plant with a relatively short flower time for a sativa !

Not a large yielder but I think she is going to be 🔥

The older Lady is holding @62% but I think I will jar her today. Buds are so oily I can't use the "feel her up" method to judge doneness 😆

Likely a good strain for pressing ! Maybe after I pay for my dentists next vacation I can get a press:yahoo:

Cheers

Such problems! 😄

That Cafe Racer hanging is some great growing! :bravo:

Just a quick update....

The first oldest Black Magic is jarred, yield was 152g or 5.4 oz.

The Malawi x Panama is in a tote after a six day hang. It feels like a day too long but we will see in the morning !

Yield at this point is 204g or 7.3 oz. Will update when jarred, that seems to be a more accurate number !

Next grow is going to be a choice of four strains from Pacific Seed Bank >

Maui Wowie, Acapulco Gold, Columbian Gold, Bruce Banner #3, Hawaiian Haze, Red Headed Stranger, Thai and/or Super Sour Diesel :yummy:

Cheers

Congrats on the full jars. Not a bad take home salary there!!

And all the "work" is over :yahoo:

Cafe Racer, left the top colas mostly intact....

Now for the best part :bongrip:

I had my first test of the flower from Black African Magic #2 !

Knowing my tendency to over do it and say "just one puff" I purposely put in 1/3 of what I normally load the bong with o_O

And it was a good thing, he, he...

The sativa high I have come to love AND considering where and what I've been doing the last three days my back and shoulder should be SCREAMING, Sit the heck down 😆

Not so !

I am aware I'm sore but its in the background and I'm fully functional. Well, you know

Could Not Be More Pleased and looking forward to more testing :yummy:

Cheers
