Veg Tent Update....

This is how the veg plants look today....
ORG_DSC03176.JPG

Not bad for a couple days growth. Now if you look closely you'll see that they are by no means perfect and there is still some discolouration to the leaves on all. I think that the root system establishes itself they'll do well in here. Although the sand will probably compact itself down after a few waterings it should still be soft enough for roots to bore through with relative ease. It's all going to come down to how well the mix hold the nutrients. Im hoping that there is enough soil in there to wick the moisture throughout the whole pot. The tops of the pots are still moist so I know it can hold something at least but these plants aren't hungry yet. They seemed to have handled the toppings well and all are showing good growth....

Phantom OG....

She's starting to pack it on now. Probably some of the most impressive colas that I've ever grown. We're currently on flowering Day 44 so there's still plenty of time to make those already quite impressive nugs even juicer. She's looking a little sad as I underestimated her endless thirst. I should have watered her last night or this morning before work but I got up late so things were rushed. She'll be fine. This time tomorrow she'll be her normal self again. I'm currently giving her 18g of MegaCrop per 10ltrs of water and she seems happy enough. There's been no new damage to the leaves from the nutes for more than a week now so I think we're good. I can see thrip damage on some of the leaves but I can't tell if it's old or new. I still can't find any in this tent though. They're all in the veg tent now. Nomadic parasites!....

Thanks GG! Next up we'll be having a vote on which plants go where. We need to choose 2 for a 10 gallon soil grow and 2 for the DWC pot. I'll be doing the hydro plants one at a time so we can grow some monsters. Hopefully the choice will be between the Purple Punch, Shishkaberry, Vanilla Kush and the Ayahuasca Purple. Should be good fun.
The family's all but returned to normal like werewolves after a full moon. Hope you're well buddy
i favour the hard to spell and say purple ayayayaya one and the shiskaberry runner up. lol

Haha my plants start quivering with fear everytime the zip goes!
Old ladies have that fear of you too i heard Lewy !!!!. hahahahaha. Sorry mate , just slipped out ....

I was just going to go with "I hope that you mean the tent zipper?" But you had to go and take it that one step further and bring the old ladies into this.

Lol. Is that your official vote? We need one for the hydro as well.

Hey Prof! :ciao:
Not the POG! Get outta there little thrippy pests!! Lol, hopefully it’s old damage.

So I’m hoping I’m just scarred from my own grow, but that first pic of thenGZ caught my eye. Is that a seed?

Hopefully not. Could just be the angle or something.
Beautiful toppings! I miss the veg state. Bloom stage is very cool but it does get a bit boring sometimes. Those dang trips tho! Do you think some of those sticky yellow paper traps could help?

Hey HH! It looks like the thrips will probably follow me for some time yet. Without spending the money they are a nightmare to get rid of. Apparently they are a nightmare even if you do buy all the gear. I'm hoping that I can break there cycle by going hydro in both tents at the same time. That means they'll still be hanging out on these new plants until they're finished flowering. I have got so,e traps but there really aren't many adults flying around. Saying that though there was that one in the OS pic that I missed.

Don't worry. I think that's a little bunch of new pistils growing out of a mid bud. I'll get a better pic of it for you tomorrow when I get back from work so we can make sure. I've given these 2 a good looking over for nana's and pollen sacks and not a single one has been found so far. They'll be down before any harm can be done if any decide to here now. I've noticed that sometimes in late flower some of the lowest buds can create little pollen sacks that are usually still too immature by harvest. I've had it happen on several different strains. These are still good though and no such shenanigans are occurring.

Good, glad to hear it. I think I will be forever tormented by the fear of spotting a seed..
Going to hydro sounds like a good idea, and by the time you’re completely converted, it won’t be summer anymore, I’d think that’d help the cause too.
Damn thrips!

On closer inspection it looks like an arrow scribbled in red pen!. Must be Runway markings for the thrips damn it. Paint it out Prof , might sort the issue of the thrips out

Peripatetic!

Phewf!

:(

Fuzzy in the duo tent... :thumb:. And your plants seem happy in the sand. Maybe they fancy a trip to the seaside. You could read them Topsy and Tim to prepare them for the trip :).
