Some updates from the past few days. I'm missing a lot of detailed info. Brain is fried. L They are drinking far more than I am giving them though. Except maybe for the Northern Lights Auto which I believe I may have overwatered.
She is not happy but I also have not been the best parent. I'm going to pot her up and hope for the best.
One of the issues happening with the plants recently and the crispy leaves, is what I believe to be insufficient watering and the combination of poor environmental conditions. RH has been very inconsistent. Technology is not always our best friend. It is a wifi based unit and it has completely disconnected unexpectedly several times and failed to reconnect. That has caused dramatic decreases along with the fan which didn't stop. The humidity was getting sucked out of the plants at a rate faster than I was able to fix it. Multiple times at that and the damage was already done.
Over the last few days, I have been giving the top soil a spray to keep it damp. I also have given them a bottom watering a couple times.
Today, the C99 male got to go outside! This is my first plant of the '22 outdoor season to get some unadulterated sun. I gave only a small batch of it in the morning, then let him recover, then another hour in a different spot, and then let him recover. Now he's in another spot for the next hour and he will be coming back inside for the night. He won't be getting too much special attention. He's in my front room getting only ambient light. I went ahead and topped him and most of the branches. Goal is to collect as much of that pollen as possible. He will be finishing inside, in an enclosed terrarium, where I have raised dart frogs before. Minimal pollen out of that area is my goal. I have many weeks before I will see any sacs large enough for producing pollen. Here he is getting sun and soaking up a drench. Droopy plants are the name of my game currently.
The rest of the plants today. Clones are ready to pot up but some are looking like they are very hungry. I need to take more cuts from all of them though. Another task that needs a check mark! ASAP!
The Space Queen issues is possibly a
potassium deficiency. But I think that was a couple weeks ago because the newest growth since has been much better. I'm moving forward with that assumption. The difficult process for me with soil grows is when problems arise, it could be something that the plant has already balanced/regulated. Then we could potentially be treating for something that is no longer an issue. The buffer or room for errors is much larger, I believe, with soil. Curious to know your thoughts on this.
C99 #1 finally got topped. I did it between the 12/13 node. I have no idea what kind of training I'm going to do with the rest of the plants. Should I flower these after I have all the clones I need? Or should I keep these as moms?? I just cannot make up my mind folks.
