BakedARea's Cultivated Blessings: A Myriad Of Genetics & Shenanigans

I'd keep him small. Even trim him up to something easy to keep wherever you can.
Looking wonderful here Baked!
I'm liking that thought process! I'm going to prune him down a lot, let him recover and then flip him. Collect what I can for any future breeding projects.
Omg your tent is full of green fun and adventure :)

Your photography is on fleek. Some of the photographers in her are top shelf, you included.
Awww Trala. You're such a sweet soul. I appreciate that so much. I'll make it over to your garden soon girl. #girlpower oh wait...never mind. I got kicked out of that group! Booooo:passitleft:
Sorry you are struggling to much trying to keep the environment suitable. Your plants are looking great, though, so the struggle must be worth it!
Thx Bud! I beat myself up because I know I could have done better. And they would be much healthier. Thankfully, they are strong plants that can put up with my inconsistent care.

Tent environment update that I forgot to mention. I turned down the heater last night. I've been fighting my heater more than anything else. I know they will still grow at lower temps, just not as vigorously. Well, right now, they aren't growing vigorously anyway, because I'm sucking them dry! Reduced my target temp from 78 to 72 but kept the RH settings the same. Still keeps me in a good VPD growing range. Trying to veg during the winter has been a great experience. Enough of a good one that I won't be doing that again. I'd prefer to be deep in bloom right now and not have to worry about keeping the RH high. Naturally lower RH for months and I've just been fighting with it. A small veg tent will be task to incorporate before next winter. It will only house mother plants. I could have started seeds next month and still have plenty of time to grow them out, get clones, and transplant outside to get massive plants.

My schedule will be revised for 2023!!!

Congrats on the environmental recovery and the females! And those clones look as good above as they do below. :bravo:
Check it out @InTheShed , me delayed response pics to your question about it.
I still don't know what it is...alfalfa sprout?
Cinderella '99 #2 - Not sure what to do with him. He probably wouldn't even pay child support. Chuck him to the compost or use him for chucking pollen? I have a safe place inside...but it's still pollen.
What Otter said! ↓

I'm liking it too! And you won't have anything in flower then, will you?
keeps me in a good VPD growing range.
:yahoo:

Thanks for the insight Shed. Appreciate the watchful eyes.
And you won't have anything in flower then, will you?
Nope! But, I'm rethinking this.
I was thinking of just placing him in my front room/plant room. Plenty of light to keep growing. But the days are getting longer. May be a bit tricky after all. I don't want to be moving him back and forth anywhere while he blooms to keep him in 12:12 cycle.
:hmmmm::hmmmm::hmmmm:
My brain is telling me I need to keep him at 12:12 to keep flowering. If that's the case, I may to just order a tiny tent to dedicate for pollen collection.

A cardboard box with a CFL on a timer hanging in it works as well!
Yeah, totally right on that one. I do still have the wardrobe box I got for drying a couple years ago too. In my head, a tent seems easier to control the environment. But, I just need him to grow long enough to throw me some pollen. After that, into the garbage! I'll give the box a try first! Thanks dude.

I put mine in a spare room upstairs in the open with the same light set up. Draw the shade down and set the timer for 12/12 and disregard any thoughts of issues from light leaks. I've done it twice. They matured pretty fast and the pollen good and handy.

A couple years ago, I grew a couple males in my bedroom. With no lights and they still produced pollen! Hmmm...more options and no decision yet. Thanks a lot for the "help" folks.
:rolleyes::rofl::rofl:

I kid. But I didn't consider that I obviously don't need to worry about extra light. Duh! Thanks Otter.

I think Otter is offering you his spare room. :welldone:
There's a work out bike in there, too! You'd be set, right next to the kitchen...and his plants...what more would you need?!

Great recovery work, as always as for Cinderelley...I'd burn him outside... all men scare me....idk how I was able to have a baby with and live with one

Got some more good news! My other Rosetta Stone (Jack Herer x P75) appears to be a female too! Saw a couple immature pistils popping out this morning. It also appears that I got one of each known genotypes. 20% end up taller and 80% end up squatty. Not much information regarding different terpene profiles though. I plan on keeping mothers of both until I have a taste of each.

RS #2 on the squatty side and showing wider leaves.

Queen of Soul

Clones are looking good and responded well to their liquid feed. Need to get some of these into other grower’s hands and make space.

The C99 #2 (male) got pushed to the side (far right). He'll stay there for at least a few more days.

Really excited about getting one of each of these Brothers Grimm genetics outside this year!

Kind of a major project slated for this weekend. Need to make some changes to my fences. Going to extend them up a couple feet. I need to hide the plants better.

Plus, the garden beds will be getting another layer of amendments (nutrients and minerals) and fresh compost. Then another thick layer of cover crops. I will also be getting my containers laid out. My outdoor garden is going to possibly be overwhelming but I won't be focused on big plants. Only got a couple months left to get the soil poppin' with life and microbes. I want the plants to get into their final spots and just boom with all the available nutes. I don't want to be playing catch up at all. I want everything on cruise control as much as possible so I can focus on pest management.

That's it for today 420 fam. Not sure if any of you need it, but sending you a puff and hug. Blessings y'all.

Well I have bad news...
Or good news depending on the perspective.
Bad news...ANOTHER male auto from the incredibly horrible results from all the seeds I have sown from New420Guys. They used to be a sponsor. Glad they are not now. Because I'm fed up. I lost count at this point but from the ones that have survived over the past few months, they have all turned out males.

The good news?! I know who NOT to buy from in the future. If you're a fan of their genetics, don't be offended. My wallet is offended by them but my feelings are more along the lines of kiss my ass and move along.

Sour 60 Auto - Worm bin food

The rest of the tent is looking...okay. They need another drench. I'll be checking in on them later tonight.

The clones got a small amount of water in the tray. Just enough to reach the drain holes and keep the roots entices to reach for it. Whatever they don't use, will evaporate and boost humidity. Win win in my book.
They look like they could definitely use more food though. Give them their first GF topdress or continue liquid nutrients until I pot up.

Hey baked just got all caught up again. How old are your plants from seed now? I’m still waiting on mine to show sex. I was reading through your heater troubles and was wondering if you could put it outside your tent next to your intake fan. That’s what I do and it seems to work well for me. No hot spots just drawing warm air into the tent instead of beating on the plants directly. Keeps my tent in the 70-80 range if I turn it on/off at the right times. Just a thought. Hope all is good in your hood bro! Peace

Hey dude! Thanks for chiming in and getting caught up.

The BG genetics are 57 days since the first true leaves. I normally add some text to my pics but I've been a little lazy lately.

The Sour 60 Auto was 18 days from first true leaves.

That's not a bad idea about bringing heat in instead of having the unit inside! I will definitely consider doing that. It would save floor space that I desperately need. Thanks for the suggestion bro!

To do it effectively though, since my tent is in the garage, I'd have to put the heater inside of something. Maybe build a simple box with intake and exhaust. Then it would just need a piece of ducting going into the tent. I would have to get it on a thermostat too.

My current setup changed because of the heater issue. It is a thermostat controlled heater that oscillates and also has a rotating face. Stupidly, I had it facing the plants. I took a step back and realized that my oscillating fan is plenty to move warm air. So I turned my heater to face the fan and turned down the temps by 5°. The fan is moving the hot air much better and evenly. I caught my heater at times "stuck" in one position a couple times and I think that had a large impact on a couple plants getting sucked dry. Turning down the heat is saving me electricity! Plus the humidifier isn't going dry as quickly. My VPD is still in a good range, which is always a goal for me.

This time next year, I will have plants in various stages of flower. I will not keep plants in veg during the winter any more. No point in fighting with the low humidity. Blessings LED.

For sure dude! Okay so mine have a ways to go then before they start showing what they are. I think my first true set of leaves came in early feb so I guess it’s only been a month. I’m impatient sometimes. I keep having to remind myself it’s going to be about 8 months until I harvest these plants :(.

My heater is different than yours. It doesn’t really blow heat at all but just radiates it. I just set it next to my intake fan and it pulls the warm air in. Considering it’s 45 degrees outside now I’ll take it

I hear you on the low humidity and needing space lol, a timer for it might do me good since it’s warming up a bit in the afternoon but I am at work and can’t turn it off

I like using an app called 'Days Counter' and it helps me keep track of my plant's ages much easier.

Now to more important things...that RH! Not that they won't grow, just not as vigorously when things are really far off. I would recommend getting at least 3 sensors so that you can be absolutely certain that your readings are correct.

Here's your VPD based on your recent low and high.

I think your plants are doing their best based on the conditions. Overall, I think they look good! The wonderful thing about these plants is how forgiving they can be. Trust me! I should know...I am consistently inconsistent. Haa haa. I think you would get better growth above and below the soil if you get your VPD dialed in.

Put some time in the tent. It's been 3 days since their last drench. A few were starting to look sadder than the others. I gave those the most water. I used my pump sprayer with 1 gal of H²O with 2 tsp yucca extract, 8mL SNS209, and 1 Tbsp Kelp Extract

I also did some pruning on most of the plants. The Candida got a full hair cut and some LST.
