Re: B.I.D. 3.0 Video Grow - BPN - JDL600 - Coco - GLR - 400WMH - Multi-Strain Tent Pa

im a yeasty kinda doode, lol i have been using many forms for many reasons (bread, beer, wine, mead, sippin whisky,co2) i have a culture of san fran sourdough i keep in the frige for up to a year it lies dormant and i revive it when i go on a bread (home made sourdough bread, pancakes, waffles muffins etc is da bomb) if i keep up with it its easy to revive if i let it go for say 7-8 months it takes a couple weeks to get it super active, but so far it always comes back, im wondering if it may be a little tougher than say red star bread yeast, perhaps i'll try it, i do need some co2 in all 3 tents, so 2 more gens why not try different yeast strains? and perhaps said o2 supplementation via a small aquarium pump i have 3 i got for hydro im not doing atm, , ne wayz i have some pics to post here in a few min, back in a min:thumb:

There is a sourdough bread maker in San Francisco that has had the SAME SOURDOUGH STARTER for over 150 years. They've used the same mother dough since 1849. It survived a the big fire that almost wiped out the whole city. It was saved in a bucket in 1906 and was UNSCATHED by the disaster, and is still in use today to make their famous San Francisco Sourdough.

Yeast, when properly maintained will last forever. It's a fungus, it can't help but to survive.

The name of the place is Boudin. It's at Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco. And their sourdough is... in a word... best.

Re: B.I.D. 3.0 Video Grow - BPN - JDL600 - Coco - GLR - 400WMH - Multi-Strain Tent Pa

im repotting some of the lings, the ones that i know will be flowering in the scrog or big tent, autos and give aways are staying in cups for now, so i decided on 1 gallon and 3 liter hempys, in coco, for this wave, i want the fast growth, ease and simplicity im really in my comfort zone with coco, that does not mean im not using my soil i sure will but i want the last batch to cook a good 3 months minimum.
the large particle coco im experimenting with by growing a couple in it straight, a few im mixing it with the fine, and a few are getting the biggest chunks in the bottom of the hempys up to the hole,
i want to see how the different mixes of size affect growth, nutrient mix uptake water retention etc. im also experimenting with nutrients, mixing organics with chemical, bubbling them for microbial growth and chelateing <--(spelling) by mixing in some 3 part bpn, with the organic it gives the plants immediate food to chomp while mykos break down the organics and build their network,
i know in coco both work well but my version of organics is not holding up to the demands of medium-larger plants during mid-late flower, and adding more has not helped because theres not enough time for the micro herd to make the elements available to the plants ,the answer was a shot of chem ferts, but they harm the bio-balance
by doing what im doing it should alter them and break them down further softening them up so to speak, see it mainly the ph balance that causes the problem, but incorporating the 2 it becomes one big bucket of nasty mucky goodness the plants are loving so far
,(secret=i have done this for the last 2 flower cycles)
results are great but im amping it up this time, by increasing the 3 part and slightly decreasing the organics, before i only added 5ml of each part to the mix and was not bubbling them most of the time, in fact it was Corey that told me to bubble both together
at different amounts than if you were using one or the other
so what im doing now is mixing in a 2 gallon jug enough of the organic line to equal roughly
50% of the feed chart for whatever stage of veg, and 60% for flower
along with 60% of the 3 part in veg and 75% in flower
i hope that makes sense
but heres an example
if the organic feed chart calls for 10ml grow in veg1
and 10ml for the 3 part i add 5ml organic grow and 6ml elite grow
and the same for all parts, i also add a healthy dose of mykos and blackstrap
and bubble for at least 18 hours before use, unless there's no foam, then i will add a little (1-2ml) more mykos and blackstrap and wait another 18 hours, but i have only had to do that once i think i had forgotten to add the mykos in the first place! duh!
theres always lots of foam!
oh i almost forgot on the issue of ph for the coco, before i start the bubble i lower the ph to lower than i want im shooting for 5.8ph, so i lower to 3.5-4.0ph, the bubble process raises the ph to 5.8 in 18-24 hours in my well water almost perfect every time,im sure it will be different in other water,i always check it before i feed:thumb::thumb::thumb:

i cant seem to get to my most recent posts yours or mine, read them in email but im stuck on pg 27, actually i popped some i picked some spiffy picked and some you guys picked, some went back in the bank, like ak-48 and,k-roc,p-roc,berry bomb etc

ok i found a work around i put my display at 40 post per page now i have only 11 pages, , the big plants are 15.9 days since i put them on 12/12,the smaller are at day 38.2

Next time, clear cache... TWICE! that's what it took for me.

lol i know thats where i got my starter from!! i know all about it because i used to live in point richmond as a kid i would walk out on the pier with my grampa and we would get these bread bowls filled with clam chowder made from the days catch and still warm sourdough! one of the most amazing things i have ever tasted i try to replicate it at home, i get close but i dont have the frisco enviros and clams hauled in daily, , i once drove 1400 miles to get some boudin loaves because nothing else will do!!!, you can pack a box full and ship them to me anytime you feel like it , i would declare you a god at that point!! :adore:

ROFL! No matter how many times I have tried to replicate the Boudin sourdough, it just doesn't have that "TANG". It's gotta be the only thing I can't do... WILD YEASTS IN THE AIR!

hmm i shall think about that, im concerned about having my tablet out n about during such a time fears of dropping it,scratching it etc, these things are pricy!, so maybe if i can do it safely ,for now how bout an update after i finish re potting, you may be interested in some of my new hempy's :thumb:

for the tang you gotta make it rise very slow, in the frige perhaps, its the wild acidofolous <--spelling
thats gives it tang it grows much slower than yeast, if you add some plain yogurt it helps kinda cheating but delicious!!

Lactobacillus acidophilus

(Latin meaning acid-loving milk-bacterium) is a species in the genus Lactobacillus. L. acidophilus is a homofermentative species, fermenting sugars into lactic acid, and grows readily at rather low pH values (below pH 5.0) and has an optimum growth temperature of around 37 °C (99 °F). L. acidophilus occurs naturally in the human and animal gastrointestinal tract, mouth, and vagina.[2] Some strains of L. acidophilus may be considered to have probiotic characteristics. These strains are commercially used in many dairy products, sometimes together with S. salivarius ssp. thermophilus and Lactobacillus delbrueckii ssp. bulgaricus in the production of acidophilus-type yogurt.

lol thank you J mr informative, spelling would have sufficed i was being intellectually lazy, wooo hooo my power is finally back onafter being off for hours it went off around 5 yesterday and just came back on 30 min ago! thats over 12 hours, ours is an all electric house, so as you can imagine it was getting really irritable around here ,all devices went dead except my tablet, all candles burned out, dinner was canned goods and cereal, and of course its at a time when were more or less broke, and the little one is terrified of the dark, she just cries and freaks out, she had so many candles around her it looked like a seance was going on in the living room, also reminded of some horror movie where you cant let the light go out or the monster gets you !! lol, i just sat n read "marijuana horticulture" by J Cervantes lol t was a long long 12 hours to say the least , i had some bread rising thats now more or less ruined, you can only re rise so many times! lol sucks but at least its on now, its gone off so many times this years its starting to feel like a 3rd world country! i want SOLAR!

im thinkin on putting some autos outside at my new place theres just enough time for them to finish b4 it gets frosty, i have some hymilaya blue diesel, cream caramel, and crosses i made ,"blue caramel", super blue auto diesel" that should get really colorful too, whatcha think ?

ok im having some serious issues with editing my signature no matter what i do it will not let me put in more than one bare link, i tried to just add a link to the contests yesterday, and it said my code was to big so i started chipping away at it, then once small enough when i highlighted the text to link to it changed all the text to be linked to the new link, been fighting with it since yesterday, does anyone know if there were changes made to how sig edit works since the site upgrade?
