Re: B.I.D. 3.0 Video Grow - BPN - JDL600 - Coco - GLR - 400WMH - Multi-Strain Tent Pa

well damn guys, your not gonna believe this.............we are moving again!! i know i know WTF? after 3 months we have figured out this place is just to expensive to keep afloat, electric runs 350-500 last bill was 350 and we had the thermostat at 78 90% of the time, i know my setup runs bout 50-65$ ,but get this, we ran nothing else watched movies on my laptop, all lights are cfl in the house, and i was a power miser all month un pluging all phantom power items, turning off anything not in use basically we just stayed in one room, i cooked on the grill outside at least 15 dinners, our of 30, it is crazy! it is an all electric house so we sure tried, im scared to see what it will run when we switch over to heating! the powe company hit me with a demand for a deposit of 1000$ due to the higher bill , the water filter/ro system we were promised was not done, we are sick to death of 1.hauling r/o water 20 miles from town, 2 . the nasty shit/sulfer/puke/rotten meat/dead fish, staining everything brown so hard you have to chew it water!!!,
its gross! and we have had massive skin blemishes too! its costing 50$ a week to buy drinking/cooking etc water, not to mention gas in my 8 cilinder v8 4 barrel holly 950 series carb ride!
basically we pay bills/rent and were broke all month then repeat the next month,
and we live with the threat that the landlord will drop in for the weekend unannounced and work on the house,
consuming all our time talking! he is like 159 yrs old recently found jesus, and wants constant praise for every nail or screw he puts in, very exhausting, nice guy but way to chatty and repeats himself till you wanna scream! lol, so,,,so we have a place(w/family) we can get into free no deposit, cost 200-300 a month, plus the normal stuff helping with bills, and the big bonus is it will be ours to have ,
build, do what we want, our own separate living space, the negatives are we have to remodel its a serious fixer upper, but im very good with tools and materials ,but we will have alot more $ to work with, i'll be able to afford more stuff for my hobby, (hmmm new seeds?)
so in the beginning it will be kinda roughing it, sorta, wont have our own kitchen,or bathroom, lots of work to do, im slow due to my disabilities, but i have a friend that will help thats a handyman,
im apprehensive yet excited to finally be an owner! the work will be long an hard but very rewarding in the end, so whatcha guys think?

YAY!! Sounds like things are looking up! Bigger-n-Better mantra again. Better to do the work yourself than to rely on someone to come by and do it and expect praise for doing what they should have already done.

So what if the new place is a fixer-upper. YOU'LL BE DOING THE FIXING!! It'll be done to your standards, and the only one you'll have to praise is the one that helped you do the work, if that! Good luck, and better days on headed your way my purple brother. I'm very happy for you.

Hey, at least you can drink the water, huh?

yup J im excited, i do good work, i was a maintaunence man <~~typo ,for many years at a 200 unit complex, i have built a thing or two,i may be slow as molasses but your right it will meet my standard,i would not fix stairs that are to tall by chopping off the top step to a 4 inch step, lol doode did that here, i would adjust the bottom or rebuild the damn steps! its gonna be an adventure! :

Re: B.I.D. 3.0 Video Grow - BPN - JDL600 - Coco - GLR - 400WMH - Multi-Strain Tent Pa

yup its dangerous for me part of my disability causes me to be a bit wobbly, and since that last fall on those same steps, its been worse, i got a blood clot and went on blood thinners again! total bs to be changing the steps,oh and he moved the handrail to the opposite side,so im always reaching for thin air lol makes me feel retarded! so im glad to be moving to a place with no stairs, just a step up into the front door, it will be better and then really good! im already planning a new custom grow room lol in time:thumb:

Hey BID!!! finally caught up with your journal, been so busy trying to focus on my new job/career that it hasn't left me much time to keep up with posts, well at least until I get used to waking up at the crack of dawn...(hard after 2 yrs of not having to) but soo thankful that I feel like 100% again :) Your girls are looking great and like the new Scrog screen!!! Also was reading about how some were asking about pushing the light schedules for a similar effect for GLR but having it extend past a 24 hour day. I do believe this is possible, I looked through my saved websites and files because I seem to remember reading somthing about a 36 hour day and it working along with the circadian rhythem, but I couldn't find it... If it pops up Ill post it :) Also, I very much appreciate your humor on my journal, you have definitely helped me see more positive about my grow and help ease the "pain" of seeing my girls die.... I appreciate all the kudos and good vibs bro!!!

funny that floated thru my mind as i was writing that last post J, i swear i have the best damn netbuddies anywhere on the interwebz ever! you guys make me smile and feel good about myself everyday!
not alot to say about the girls, except they are looking good growing great, i did make some crosses selectively 3 no four days ago, i got some rpk and p#1 pollen out of deep freeze, and crossed both with chemdog, wwxbb and blueberry gum, each got 1-2 branches/buds caked with pollen, then sat in isolation with a cfl each no air movement for 2 days the got baths now back in flower today i can tell by their look the process worked quite well the pollen i used was dated 3/15/12 for p#1 and 4/2/12 for rpk, 4 and 5 month old pollen working no problem, certainly longer than the 1-2 months that i have heard , my process for storing pollen is collect it, dry it for 2 days,, i put it in multiple wax paper mini envelopes ,diluted with diatomaceous earth50/50, surrounded by dessicant , in a pill bottle or some other small container, into a large plastic zip lock filled with more desiccant,
then into the coldest part of the freezer, i label and date each sample

say i did a 2ltr pop bottle of warm water, sugar and yeast, what would you say is the best mixture, so what amounts of what would you add, how much sugar to yeast etc etc, i did this before and just wondered what the best ratio is,

nice move DP. reps if I can

Re: B.I.D. 3.0 Video Grow - BPN - JDL600 - Coco - GLR - 400WMH - Multi-Strain Tent Pa

thanks mate, thats the answer i needed, ill make up a bottle when i got my next plants in the flower room, the plants i got now are nearly finished so it would not do much good as they take in less co2 in the last 2 weeks of flower so i dont think id gain anything by adding it now, but when i put my plants out of the small grow cupboard into the big grow room then ill be making up a new batch,

Re: B.I.D. 3.0 Video Grow - BPN - JDL600 - Coco - GLR - 400WMH - Multi-Strain Tent Pa

would it be best to have a painted bottle so it dont let the light in or dont they light make any difference with the co2, my last bottle was a clear 2ltr pop bottle, but would covering it up make the process work better, i did notice last time that the bottle stayed warm for a few days, and when i tightened the lid to give it a shake the pressure built up loads and i had to make sure i undid the lid enough to let the pressure out else the bottle may of exploded,

is it ok just to use one bottle and have it venting out the lid or would you attatch a smaller bottle via a tube and bubble the co2 through some water to prevent the beer smell filling the grow room, i noticed the beer smell last time and didnt know if this caused problems or not, but what i did do was make sure the lid was undone enough so their had to be a small amount of pressure to push the co2 out, if i left the lid off i didnt want to run the risk of bugs getting in or fungus forming in the yeast mixture, so i tightened the lid up just enough to make sure the air was coming out under some pressure, is this a good option or should i add say a 500ml pop bottle and run a tube from the 2ltr bottle and into the water in the smaller bottle, im sure i read somewhere that this prevents any problems

Re: B.I.D. 3.0 Video Grow - BPN - JDL600 - Coco - GLR - 400WMH - Multi-Strain Tent Pa

Actually guys i got an idea. i hope im descriptive enough to light your imaginations.

picture an attic cold water tank, the kind with a ball cock.
give it a decent overflow for waste fluid
make the input fluid sweet water from a rez you can top up weekly.
make the flow regulator (previously a ballcock) increase the input of sweet water the higher the alcohol content it detects...

endless co2 right?

if you seal the unit it will allow a more controled piping of the constant co2, and this way you could use a switching valve on the same timer as the lights to redirect the co2 out of the house when the plants are in the dark.
