Hey
@Olddog Newtrick, thanks! I use a hand held scope off of Amazon, a $40 relative cheapie, with the 8-LEDs on the inside of the front cup that adjust with a little knob and using an app sends the pics to your cellphone. Then I edit, so it’s pretty easy. The scope has 50-1000X zoom, and then five levels of closeup, so by messing around a bit and finding the balance between focus and “in your face,” (lol) I snap a few and hope I get lucky. It’s very simple in theory. The hard part is, if you want to get a closeup like these, you gotta have an unimaginably steady hand. I have a steady hand, but not that steady, few do. I take the pictures off a dense bud and usually push it up against the cola behind it to steady it. I try to find a spot where I can hold the scope steady against a relatively unmoving and solid bud with one hand, as you need the other hand to take the picture. That said, you don’t really, cuz the scope has a button to take the pics too. But it’s not placed advantageously to use it to take the shots, so u do that with the other hand, typically with the cell phone on my lap. Remember, I’m in a chair, so I always have a lap. In this case, a rare one, lol, it might be advantageous, as a standing person would have to steady the phone somewhere else.
That’s as detailed as I can tell you, fwiw!
