Autos v. Photos - A 5x5 No Rules Fight for Yield: A Jon & NickHardy Gig

Organic Alley (OA)
Strawberry Banana and Blue Dream

The newly named home for both organics now. Phew. Maybe I can sleep on a normal schedule now, lol. And pack the 420h up for moving.

Let’s see how happy the SB gets under 680 watts instead of 420. With superior reds, far reds, and IR/UV. Heh. Now that I see her in the tent, damn, she is pretty fricking big. Wow. Both plants sprouted the same day. What a huge difference. My educated guess is we will see the frost train roll in very shortly. The G8 destroys the 420h for frost production.

Here’s the new tent, and a real color outdoor shot.

Why can't you smoke hermied flowers? Were the buds completely seeded?
Yep. Through and through. I mean, I *could* of I wanted to spend ten minutes per hit to clean up for what, maybe half decent weed? No thanks. It’s a huge pile of kief.

The good, the bad and the ugly.
🙄

Hard to avoid some dirty on your roots in this sort of setup unless you delay the roots path to the res with a heavy layer of perlite. I did that on the other plant in this setup. Those roots were far cleaner. These are obviously filthy. I’m wondering if anyone with more root knowledge than me (all I know is how to make them big) can discern anything at all from this picture? And also, is it possible that the roots being this dirty compromised the finer outer roots (whatever they’re called) and that somehow led to the hermie or contributed to it? Thanks.

Yeah, those seeds might add a bit of unfair weight to the total! Good thing you weren't losing or it would be a moral question right there. ;)
Also not lost on me although I would have done the right thing and eliminated it.

The long straight root that tied itself around the air tube cracks me up.

Take all the time you need. We'll wait. :thumb:
Lol. I can’t even show it and discuss proper.
(Non sponsor). So I’m just gonna post pictures one time and be done with it. I think that should be okay. With no words it steps on nobody’s toes.

Idk if pictures will do it justice but if they want to know more they can look 👀 into it. lol 😂 CL🍀

The Tridiculous Trizkit

Just trace the side branches on the branch in the first photo, and see how ridiculously productive this plant can be. I don’t even know how it’s standing up it’s so heavy. It’s chock full of dense, mostly golf ball sized buds. I figure she has maybe ten days to two weeks. We will see.

Random Impressions

- Skywalker chem vs organic
The chem is stronger. The organic smells better. Both taste great but the organic has a freshness that the chem does not.
- Cherry Pie chem vs organic
See above. Same exact thing.
- Gorilla Cookies silver pheno vs green pheno
The silver is stronger. The silver is denser and more earthy. The green is sweeter and more fruity. Still plenty dense. Both are fabulous. Some of the tastiest autos I’ve found. I will most definitely grow it again.

That is all.

Trizkit

This little demo will hopefully show you just how voluminous a single bud is off this plant. The golf balls are dense and are gonna create a ton of yield.

So here’s a tester bud I took this morning.

Picture 1: the bud
Picture 2: the wet breakdown trimmed
Picture 3: same breakdown post toaster oven

For one small bud this is a lot of yield.

It’s also kind of a funny way to show it hopefully. It’s Saturday, may as well have a chuckle.

Report: it’s stronger than it was a few days ago. Getting there. I’m trying on this one just for kicks to assess its readinesss without checking the trichs. Just to see if I’m any good. Of course I’ll check and all, but for now. It’s also going to have some extent of a lemony thing going on.

Strawberry Banana Auto (organic)

Here’s she is today absolutely crushing it. Largest I’ve ever had an auto get in an organic soil setting by ten miles. This is coco sized. Lol. I have a lazy and rare rainy day here. Ah, packing in the rain, such fun. Lol. So we may as well have some half decent bud shots, right?

Here’s the plant, some of her ultra colas (is all that gonna grow together, OMG?!?!), and a shot to show the comparison in size between the two autos. The entire Blue Dream is as tall as the Strawberry Banana colas. Both in identical everything and sprouted on the same day!
