Autos v. Photos - A 5x5 No Rules Fight for Yield: A Jon & NickHardy Gig

Still trying to get that to go mainstream, eh?

It's not working. LOL.

It's LARF, dude, larf.
Azi thanks for the deep belly laugh. When I was in high school one time I thought I’d come up with the coolest saying ever. I’d say “jam…..note.” Slow and drawled out long. It was perhaps literally the DUMBEST thing EVER. But I thought it was the shit. Lol! And I tried to get that shit to catch. Said it til people said shut the fuck up with that. Lmao! When I read your comment I flashed back to that and LOL’ed at myself for a good while.

Besides I don’t need to know it. It’s not something I allow to exist anymore in my grow room.

Trizkit

All cleaned up now except for a few dead leaves in the very back that are too high to get to. But much improved. I’m holding off on the support structure until I need it, but I will set it in place today. She’s jamming and her buds are forming chunky and dense.

Amazing how it's taken shape. Such a pretty plant
Thanks Carmen! And I did help her take that shape a little bit. They don’t actually grow that way.     Tee hee! Just kidding you Carmen!

Cherry Pie Auto: Chem vs Organic

These buds are Cherry Pie (Blimburn) nuggets. The big one on the left is from my last grow, it was grown in coco with Remo nutes. The bud on the right is from this grow and was grown in California Super Soil/FFOF blend with amendments, organic. The white hair is courtesy of my dog, Molly. Lol. The Remo nuggets were much larger overall. The organic nuggets get me higher and taste better. Both become way cheesy in the jar after a couple weeks, which was surprising. Both are more indica than sativa in terms of effect. And both taste like a complex blend of earthy, a little undefined berry-ish, a touch of citrusy sweetness, and a ton of straight “dank” flavor. Very interesting strain.

If I failed to mention it, the final piece of training with this girl is to eliminate all her shackles and let her bounce back however much. As I measure ppfd more closely than the last post, I see it’s really only 1200 in the middle of the plant where there’s really nothing. The cola ring was all at more like 1000 when I measured each individually, due to the ring of colas being on the outside or edge of the light’s hot spot. Thus, I was fine to now loosen her bonds. You see the stakes still there but they are completely loose.

So here’s how she looks after letting her go, with the split colas from the main topping becoming the tallest along with a couple others. There are closeups of some of the tallest colas, (closest to the light) which show you this plant’s supreme stacking and health. The tallest colas are now between 1000 and 1200 depending on the extent to which they bounced back towards the center of the field sweet spot. One could argue you now can see which are the dominant colas. And since they’re all so spread out still, the fact that they now vary more in terms of the ppfd they’re getting compared to the flat ring won’t matter at all. Every cola is bathed in light top to bottom.

The closet is so white and with the angle and all you can barely see the corners behind the plant. All these closeups in the closet look like a disembodied plant floating in space.

Also, I’m gonna access and set up the supports for the colas now, as soon as I get the right size bamboo. Couple days. It doesn’t take a genius to see what is gonna happen in a month or sooner here. I’m finally thinking a little bit. We will head that crap off at the pass.
