Autos Under A Mars Hydro FC 4800: Soilless & FN Fertilizer, By Farside05

Fed the girls the 7's, 1 gallon each. That works out to 105ppm of N. I've been increasing the intensity of the light each time I up the feed strength, but today I left the dimmer where it was. Internodal spacing is still very close so I didn't see a need yet.

They are happy with the growing environment. :thumb:

It's a little warmer right now than I'd like. The attic fan went out and the air conditioner for my upper floor is struggling to keep up. It was 82 in the weed lab today. I removed the faulty attic fan and I'm going to pick up a replacement motor in the AM. Hopefully I'll get that fixed and things will be back to normal before noon.

Hope you can figure it out soon.

Well damn. Got the new attic fan motor but the fan blades on the old motor are so corroded on the shaft that I couldn't get it off without bending a fan blade, and it's still not off! Had to order a new set of fan blades. They won't be in until Wednesday or Thursday but luckily we're having cooler weather until then.

It's never just one trip to the hardware store is it?

Especially if it's plumbing. The motor was able to be had locally but not a new fan blade.

Plants look lovely!

Thanks. For the Banner to be supposedly more sativa than indica, those are some fat leaves.

I'm yet to grow a plant that has leaves like it's "stated" dominant side! Doug's Varin was supposed to be sativa:

Day 18

I normally like to top autos around day 21, and these look like they'll be ready by then or maybe even sooner. They'll probably need a drink and I'll move them to the 8's. I'll check the lux too and make it around 40k.

Day 19 AM

Gave the girls a thorough soaking of 2 gallons each of the 8's. Turned up the dimmer so they're getting 40k lux (the taller one is about 43k. Rather than tucking, I removed the top fans on all the plants so the lower nodes get more light. I did that both times I grew the Original Glue autos and the results were fantastic. I still think a lot of that has to do with that particular strain and breeder, but I'm gonna try it with these just to see.

This is my mint plant that's on the back deck. She's in 5 gallons of Pro-Mix garden Mix with Osmocote Outdoor and Indoor mixed in the top couple inches of the Pro-Mix. She's going nuts. I can't drink Mojitos fast enough, although I try. It makes me wonder what would happen if I did that with an auto seed. If I didn't have some non-smokers, who don't know I grow, over to swim, I'd be inclined to try it.

For those that were following the attic vent fan saga. The new fan blades came in late last night. Not sure what the UPS driver was doing that she was still out at 8 PM. Anyway, Humpty is all put back together. Hot weather scheduled for next week so we'll see if the AC unit can keep up when that happens.

The plants look great, but WHOA that mint plant is going apeshit!!!!! Nowhere to stealth an auto in that mix? Lol.

My yard is surrounded by tall hardwoods. The only good full sun is in a very prominent spot on my deck. The mint plant was there but has done better since I moved her closer to the house for a little more shade. I suppose I could move a weed plant to a more discreet location when non-weed folks visit.

Uh oh, I can see the wheels turning.....lol. Well I don't know you that well farside, but from what I've seen, you're a lot like me in that we kind of both get off on saying F you to authority....do I have that right or no? If so, then I betcha you could figure it out if you want to....

Turned up the dimmer
If you turn it up is it still a dimmer?
I can't drink Mojitos fast enough
Practice makes perfect...gotta keep the plant healthy!

I handed a Doug's Varin clone to a guy who upcanned it with Osmocote+. We'll see how far it takes him.
The new fan blades came in late last night.
I wonder if you have the right mounting screws...might mean another trip to the hardware store!

Considering I have a job that is very closely tied to law enforcement, you could say that. The local Sheriff's office used to buy some of my shine through an intermediary. I don't do that anymore. I kinda found a different hobby to feed my rebellious side.

The Outdoor Indoor stuff is pretty decent ratios but it's missing Ca. Feeding with my tap could help account for some Ca, but I'm pretty sure MJ is much more demanding in the Ca arena than mint. The other Osmocote product is missing much more than the Outdoor Indoor product.

The motor was the same exact size, so the mounts were fine. The replacement blades were a bit smaller. 5 blades vs 6 but the pitch on the new 5 blade is much more aggressive. I left a thermometer/hygrometer up with n the attic. I'll check on it next week to see the daily highs and lows to see if it's doing it's job.

My bottle reads a little different. No Ca at all, and S is higher. It does have Ammonium Nitrate on the label, and most times it's Calcium Ammonium Nitrate that is used. There's probably some Ca, just not accounted for. Fox Farms does the same thing on their labels.
