OK, that long enough, now dunk some seeds ?I decided to shut her down for a few months. It seems like the bugs would have a field day during the summer...where I live anyway. And I even have central a/c. I have pets that insist I open and close the backdoor 900 x's a day which would provide a free taxi ride for 900 different bugs right to the grow. So I'm on summer break. Just not sure how long I can hold out! Lol
Haha I know right! I could since I got a new tent, which is still in the box. But that would take care of the "summertime" pest issue.OK, that long enough, now dunk some seeds ?
Grow put a journal together..Haha I know right! I could since I got a new tent, which is still in the box. But that would take care of the "summertime" pest issue.
I never really thought about electricity consumption..once again it's much more than a few seeds and some dirt. I have learned so many new things about life from my grow adventure. I now know my tap water is acidic, my house is humid as hell INSIDE and where fruit bugs come from. My brain is going into shock. Haha!! I'm loving this. Then there is the electric bill at 85% higher stamped across it. Damn. I fixed the water, the inside humidity level and pesty little bugs but I don't know about the electricity problem. That is beyond my control..I have some studying to do.Heavy load devices add up on the bill. Anything that uses a compressor such as a chiller, dehumidifier, refrigerators all use a lot of energy on a continuous basis. Things with motors also draw a lot, such as washers and dryers. These are just typical devices in common homes, but when we add a grow, there is usually a noticeable spike is watts consumed. If the EC calls to ask why, tell them you own an air compressor and a welder. Two very common tools that consume lot of juice. This will help offset some of the EC's concerns. Still though, most newish homes in the US have a minimum of 120 amps of available current draw, but really new home are going up to 150 amp and 200 amp service entrances. The reason I know this, is because the old ass house I live in only has a 60 amp power panel. This means I can only draw 60 amps of current at any given moment in time. 120 volts times 60 amps gives me a grand total of 7200 watts of power that is available to my house which is down right horrible according to today's standards. When trying to manage the electrical needs and also fit a 1200watt HID grow into the equation was a bit tricky, but I was able to do it once I chucked my electric stove and got me a gas stove.
Edit - HERE's a good read that explains much better the difference between 110V and 220V (aka 120/240).
Too much water or too much light/heat, if there is too much light/heat the leaves will droop away from the light source. What are you growing in soil or coco?
Not sure about soil. Coco is watr everyday.. hmm sorry but if its neen three days and still wet maybe uo more ventilation in there. Hrlp it dry out faster maybf raise pots off floor to allow even air fkow drying. Sorry im sure soneone will jump in soon. Can someone please help a first time grower and tell me if this plant looks over or under watered
I have not watered in 3 days and soil still feels wet so i am thinking the 20% vermaculite in the soil is holding to much water .Thank you for any advice
Also sonetimes ot might be wet up top but make sure it does dry out at bottom so roots fight to look for water source. Akso i dont see alot of drooping yet if it os dropping and it's been a few days then chances are it needs s drink. Not sure about soil.
