Ask Us Anything: Sharing Knowledge 420 Style

It's everyone right to say Thier opinions here is what I've gathered I might not agree with someone but I won't be disrespectful. Especially if I've not tried something. Lol.

We're here for a good time guys and gals. Let's keep it positive and full of love in here.

I'm sorry to all those who have been offended. Let's help each other instead of ruin each other. There's enough of those kind out there on Thier own.

Unless I'm completely wrong, I'm pretty sure the cost is still the same. The utility sells us power by the watt, well by the kilowatt/hour which is just 1000 watts for 60 minutes. It is after our breaker panel that 120 vs 220 becomes a factor. 220 volt circuits (aka 225, 240) are safer to use because the amp draw on the circuit is halved due to the circuit drawing power from both power legs inside the panel. So a 1k ballast on a 120 volt circuit draws it's thousand watts in the form of 8.333 amps, whereas the same ballast on a 220 volt circuit draws its thousand watts in the form of 4.5454 amps. In my understanding, a 220 volt circuit is merely 2 different 120 volt circuits, that draw from opposing phased power sources and terminate at the same outlet, so essentially, circuit A draws 4.5454 THEN circuit B draws 4.5454.

The reason the math does align is because I divided the watts first by 120, then second by 220, but I'm pretty sure if one leg measures at 120 volts, the opposing leg in the breaker panel will also measure 120 volts, and combined will add up to 240 volts, but I used 220 as it's more often referred to. For the record, I'm not an electrician, but I am one that has researched and worked with AC~ for more than a few years.
My light bill doubled during my 2 grows and it stated on the bill my house used 80% more electricity then the rest of my subdivision which is around 800 homes. Comparing my current bills to last year (pregrow) I was only about 20 percentile and 80. Doesn't sound good. I used 200w of LEDs and the rest CFLs producing a total of 1000 watts. Also, I added 3 fans, air purifier and a dehumidifier to my new consumption of electricity. Does that sound right? Maybe my poor bathtub conglomeration was the problem?

Theres much more to this then a few seeds and a little dirt..I have come to discover My brain hurts

Wether its a noticable savings is really kinda pointless anyways. Im more concerned with the fact that I will melt my wires and burn my house down alot easier in 120 compared to 240
I know right! Every time I plugged something new in I held my breath!

Heavy load devices add up on the bill. Anything that uses a compressor such as a chiller, dehumidifier, refrigerators all use a lot of energy on a continuous basis. Things with motors also draw a lot, such as washers and dryers. These are just typical devices in common homes, but when we add a grow, there is usually a noticeable spike is watts consumed. If the EC calls to ask why, tell them you own an air compressor and a welder. Two very common tools that consume lot of juice. This will help offset some of the EC's concerns. Still though, most newish homes in the US have a minimum of 120 amps of available current draw, but really new home are going up to 150 amp and 200 amp service entrances. The reason I know this, is because the old ass house I live in only has a 60 amp power panel. This means I can only draw 60 amps of current at any given moment in time. 120 volts times 60 amps gives me a grand total of 7200 watts of power that is available to my house which is down right horrible according to today's standards. When trying to manage the electrical needs and also fit a 1200watt HID grow into the equation was a bit tricky, but I was able to do it once I chucked my electric stove and got me a gas stove.

Edit - HERE's a good read that explains much better the difference between 110V and 220V (aka 120/240).

Do these look ok for 7 weeks going into 8?

Your pictures looked pretty blurry, either that or the pipe I just burned landed much deeper than I comprehend. But judging just by the colors, it appears that on some plants the pistils have turned amber while the majority of the rest all the pistils are still very green. In my limited experience, the pistils amber first and that's when ya start looking at the trichomes to see how many are milky and amber. Generally 10% amber trics is accepted as a good harvest day.

Do these look ok for 7 weeks going into 8? I think the buts are small but im using big bud and tiger bloom at every other feeding I think they should be bigger. strains are money maker og kush and big bud

They look healthy. As for BUD development. There are a lot of variables to take into consideration.
You are doing a great job. Give them some time.

FYI....ALL
In the past 6 months issues have come up. Often misdiagnosed as bugs, CAL/MAG def, heat stress and nutrient burn. ALL but the bugs are an effect to "pH FLUCTUATIONS"...
Couldn't find good pics of early stage. So I induced it into my grows.

In Order to fix the lock out. You have to fix pH issues to cure lock out. Damage is permanent. Foliage spraying with pH'ed mild nutrient mix.During the recovery phase helps a lot with minimizing damage.

What total stoner spends his Saturday morning trimming weed, getting super baked and watching UFO,Flat Earth, Mandela Effect videos on YouTube!!!! WTF is going on in this crazy place we live in?!?!? Live-Love-Learn

U say this like it's a bad thing lol .

Nothing bad about it just realized what was really going on at the moment and laughed at myself a little!!! I get caught up in some fucked up stuff sometimes!!!! To top it all of I am a very firm believer in the Flat earth conspiracy holy shit somethings just aren't what they seem to be!!!!

Funny. The Flat Planet Society Page says, we have members All AROUND the World

Hey everyone, happy Saturday!

Just placing a MMJ order and came across this. Admittedly I didn't/don't know much about terpenes, other than an "umbrella understanding" of them as a whole. While looking into them a little more I cam across this and thought some of you might find it as interesting as I did.

Cheers.

That is so fucking funny bro omg !!!!! I'm losing my mind rite now lol!!!!!! Love it !!!!!

When they say members all around the world they meant around this world not Round as a ball but Around the world!!!! I know it not for everyone!!! It makes no sense to me how we can't see the curvature of the Earth !!!! I live in SoCal I can see San Clemente island that is 69 miles away!!!! Now by all means at 69 miles the Earth Curvature should be around 1600 feet but yet I can see the shore of San Clemente island with a pair of binoculars!!! But do to the curvature of the earth at 1 mile square X 8" for every mile you look out the Earth drops away from you at the rate !!! So at 1 mile it is
8" x (1mile)squared = 8" of drop at 1 mile
8" x (2mile)squared = 32" of drop at 2 miles
And so on so forth till you get to
8" x (69miles)squared =
8" x(69x69) 4671 = 38088" divide into feet 12
3,784 feet below the curvature of the earth
Now the tallest mountain on San Clemente is around 1400ft high so The whole island should be around 2300 feet below the curvature of the Earth but yet I can still see the whole island why is this? And don't tell me refraction or reflection or a mirage cause I have a boat and I have taken off the shore and gone rite for the island and it doesn't flip or disappear it just slowly gets bigger as you approach it !!!! So it's no Margie or reflective anything!!!!!! Omg I've lost my mind again !!!!!!! Damn it !!!!!!
