Ase's Perpetual Fun With Coco

Wow she did turn out nice Ase!

Thanks PW! It was a nice surprise for sure. So much bud I think it might get up there with my best numbers for one single plant.

Fantastic shot of it after trimming. The growth in that Cherry Bomb seemed really strong all the way through Ase.

I love the first pictures right after the haircut. You can see everything so much clearer. Was a really strong girl and maybe I pushed her a little too hard at times but in the end the bud wasn't effected and she looks great!

No wonder you needed a break, no way I could trim in situ. Looks beautiful man!

Lol I needed more then one but I was in no rush today. Smells as good as she looks too. It was nice to get her away from all the others and really get that cherry smell. Can't wait to jar her up and let her marinate in her own juices.

Flower Day 41 - Veg Day 23

I left for a mini vacation into the mountains of mother nature and got back today. I watered the plants Monday and then watered them today as soon as I got back. The flower girls were pretty dry but gave them a strong soaking and the pots are moist again. The plants themselves didn't look droopy or anything however the dryness might have caused some salt build up. I may flush with a light nutrient regimen tomorrow if they look like they are getting nute burned.

To my surprise the veg girls really took off the last couple of days. I have let them get a bit more vertical than normal and I will start training tomorrow. I did a little tucking and bending but tomorrow I will defoliate a bit and start my LST. Roots are all over the pot and are already on the surface.

Cali OG in the back right. Purple Envy front left. Purple Kush front right and Lost Coast OG in the back right. Lost Coast is a bit behind it seems. The Purple Kush has started out the strongest.

The flower tent is still trucking along. Almost 6 weeks now so the last 3-4 weeks I should see some bulking up. Should be an interesting finish. The aromas from each plant are super strong and starting to see lots of frost now.

The White Castle is frosting up the most but I'd still like to see a little more bulking at this point. She is likely going to go a week more than the other two so I have to keep that in mind.

The Amnesiac has noticeably fire orange hairs that are healthy looking and all over. I think this is going to be one of those buds that just has really red hairs.

I must say for being the runt most of the time, the Jack Herer is stacking the nicest and thickest. Amnesiac is still the largest and densest but if the Jack Herer keeps filling out like it is, it might take the cake of the 3 of them.

I can't remember if I mentioned this before or not but my final weight for the Auto Headlights ended up being 96 grams. The nugs were really dense and is by far the best nugs I have gotten with an Auto. Very sweet smelling like my Aurora Indicas were and a familiar smell for sure. It definitely was the Northern Lights in both strains. I've had good results and yields with Northern Lights strains and like what I get out of them.

The Cherry Bomb auto came in at 181 grams. It is now the largest single plant that I have grown. I can already tell the buds are not quite as nice as the Headlights. They are a little bit smaller and pop out all over the place. Kinda like a pineapple. The smell is really something though and I keep getting whiffs of cherry throughout the house like someone baked a cherry pie or something. I'm anxious to see how it cures and smokes.

Yay...Ase is back! And what a bumper harvest. Did you say 181 grams??! Grow goals.... Respect.

Yes mam! Filled up 7 large mason jars. Not the best quality stuff though compared to the Headlights or most photos I grow. Still pretty happy with it, just not top shelf. In the end I'll see how it smokes and maybe it will surprise me.

Based on how you described the smell, the taste may be top notch even if the potency isn't up to par with others. Tasty daytime hybrid perhaps.

It is still pretty frosty too so the potency may be there, I just don't like the way the bud looks as much as other pants I've grown. Might just be a personal preference issue in the end. I've found with all autos, other than the Headlights, that they all end up not as filled out as I want and a little more leaf matter than I want. Then again it's an auto so it should.

On a sidenote it is probably the strongest smell in a jar that I have ever had this early. Lol! Funny how it all works right? Best yielding, strongest smelling and I'm not jumping for joy over here. Glad to be done with autos and into my cycle. It was a fun experiment and I got good stuff from all of it. The Gorilla Glue smoke has been fantastic but it didn't yield much. The Headlights still needs some curing time but it yielded well and it looks and smells great. Cherry Bomb still a mystery but great yield and I learned a lot about autos. If I ever grow outdoors, I think I've learned enough from these to get some awesome results with autos. Imagine if that Cherry Bomb Auto was in a 30 gallon tub instead of a 3 gallon one :)

You should try 4 autos in 7 gal pots in a 4x4 mine are cruising right along and filled the tent at day 40 from seed. Hoping for a lb out of this tent.

I wouldn't have been able to fit 4 of my Cherry Bombs in a 4x4 at 3 gallon pots let alone 7! If you are in soil then maybe, but if you are a coco grower I'm not sure how it would all fit. Make sure you have good airflow when things get tight to prevent mold! I hope you get your goal. I think a lb out of a 4x4 would be excellent!

Good to have you back, hope that vacation was a gooder .

I'm already a pretty low key person but I definitely needed it. I travel a lot but my favorite trips are ones where I can be in the middle of nature and enjoy some good smoke. Luckily I live in an area with a lot of really nice places I can get to within hours. It really helps me center myself and reset my inner time clock without trying to sound to hippie. I do say I'm a business hippie though :).

Here was my favorite smoke spot on the trip. I finished off my Purple Trainwreck and Ayahuasca Purple here. Both I can grow again because I have seeds but likely won't for a while. A good spot for those strains to RIP and the ash to drift in the wind through the mountains, 5,000 feet high in elevation.

It can be done my friend. Like you said lots of airflow would be required but imagine pulling 4 of those cherry bombs out of a tent. Maybe you're right with the 7 gals being too big for that strain but imagine the gg4 in 7 gal pots. Something to think about

And FYI I am running coco for my autos not soil. 7 gallons of media is a lot to water everyday but its been sooooo worth it so far. The numbers will speak louder than my words and we shall see if it's a success.

It's a beautiful spot Ase, I have a couple favourites similar to that, I can relate. Nothin wrong with a little inner hippie either. The picture is quite soothing just to ok at. Thanks for sharing ✌️

You just end up with a shit load of larf if you over do it. Best to keep it the way you've got it man.

Hey man...larf is weight, weight is hash, hash is love. Also you could defoliate and train them so they don't have as much larf. Just my 2 cents.

This is true and if I needed hash or just volume I would agree. I've seen so many people do too many plants or not have enough space. Mold happens and bud rot. I've also seen grows where light doesn't penetrate past the top layer and they end up with lots of weight but 3/4 of it is garbage. In the end growing is what you need it to be and I'm more focused on quality and yield is my secondary focus.

You can pack a 4x4 if you want if your light and airflow is good. Autos just aren't my thing. Too much "larf" naturally because they are crossed with ruderalis. Autos are also a lot harder to train because you really have to know how to read a plant and where it is at. If you do it at the wrong time you can totally mess things up. The seed times the manufacturers say are always way short and some go up to 5-6 weeks longer than stated so you can't really go off of a regular schedule.

My goal is to get a pound in one 4x4 of photos. I think I would have gotten it this time if it wasn't for the Tangie herming out. Gives me something to look forward to for next time but I do hope things stay in control for you and you get your pound. Everyone grows differently and if you don't mind the larf because you use it for all sorts of things than you should get your goal!
