Ase's Perpetual Fun With Coco

That bites Ase, at least you caught it before it could do real damage.

Damn... Sorry to hear about TD Good you found it like PW is saying.

Yeah. I am a very "realistic" person. There is a huge part of me that is thankful that I caught it pretty early and a small part that is a little ticked that it happened. I went and looked at the plant today in the sunlight (it was cut and thrown out back) and no light burn or signs of heat stress. I guess if I knew exactly why it hermed that would help a bit but a little confused at this one. Nothing I can do now either way so onward we go! Good lesson in not getting too attached to one plant or the other, I was getting really attached to this girl.

Its hard not to get attached to the nice ones. Something someone on here said recently was that some strains will hermie for no apparent reason if you flip the lights before they're sexually mature and showing preflowers. I'd never really thought about that before.

Flower Day 39 - Veg Day 21 - Auto Day 95

Well the bad news is over and everything looks fine again. That'll teach me for saying everything was smooth sailing in my last update. The Veg girls have responded without skipping a beat when I topped them and they've even turned a little more dark green. At this point I am still measuring ppms but honestly I just try to hit N-P-K ratios from my schedule. I'll adjust the ppm to whatever I want based on if the plant has nute burn or not and I am still fairly close to my ppms in my schedule but trying to see how the plants will do kind of just growing based off of feel. I upped the Nitrogen the last couple feedings and am pretty happy with the result.

The 3 girls in the flower tent now have a good chunk of space. I've gone over each a couple times a day looking for nanners or pollen sacks and so far so good. Hope it stays that way. White widow in the back and Jack Herer on the left. Amnesiac on the right.

Lastly the Auto Cherry Bomb will be coming down in a few days. Probably could go another 10 days but I need the space and it's been flushed for close to a week now. Bulking up nicely!

I hate to be that guy but I have a hard time believing that Tangerine Dream didn't herm because of genetics. There was literally nothing wrong looking about the plant and it was a freebie. I've had terrible luck with freebies/promotional seeds. This one I do believe was feminized so that is my first feminized seed that didn't work out. Likely not hitting my goal now but will try again on my next set of 4. I always have one plant each grow that just doesn't work out very well. Tired of that, so hopefully I can change the course on that too. Still pretty happy about everything to come and what I have left though as long as no more issues happen.

Good job finding that hermie before it had its way with your girls. Seeing how gorgeous she was I probably would have tried to pluck the male parts off bt it looks like they were fully mature so u did the right thing. Thanks for the detailed pics of that. I haven't seen it in my 30-40 fem plants I've grown so far.

If things go well I'm thinking of starting some regular fems when my autos have about 3 weeks left so I can go a week or 2 after that into flower mode on the regs

I think standard seeds have stronger plants with more vigour. If i wanted guaranteed females i'd have to go with clones i think.

Clones are the right choice if you want guaranteed females. I keep wanting to clone but too many seeds. At least growing all these seeds gives me the opportunity to find a few great strains and then grow those to clone down the road, maybe with a few bumps and bruises along the way. That will be a while though.

Flower Day 41 - Veg Day 23 - Auto Day 97

The Cherry Bomb Auto got chopped today. The girls in the veg tent were starting to grow vigorously again and they will need the space and full light. The trichs on this girl were about 10% clear and 90% cloudy. I didn't really see any amber and I bet she could go about another week but I don't think she would have gotten much bigger. For an auto, I am very happy how she turned out. Once I gave her a haircut I could see how nice the bud looks and with all those curled up leaves gone she looks lovely again.

The nugs were sticky, dense and stacked so nicely.
