Ase's Multi-Strain Quadlining In Coco

@MCubed476 Jesus that is a freaking solid truck on that Auto. I can Imagine you winning almost any race against a Flux Autogrow with a tree like that:bravo:[/QUOTE]

Thanks man! I appreciate the kind words! I ended up with 9.8 oz off that one. My gorilla glue auto got me 24.78 oz...unfreaking believeable! Here's the stem off that one lol.

Ase, do I recall correctly that you had a brief discussion about doing the removal of nodes 1 and 2 and the topping of the plant in separate steps rather than all at once? I decided to try that this round - I took the bottom nodes from my plants last night, and will top tonight or tomorrow night, whenever they look ready. I was hoping to pot up before the weekend was out.

I think the conversation was between you and VS but I couldn’t find it.

Speaking of you and VS, my brother gave me an eighth of DTF (Dutch Treat x Alaskan Thunderfuck) for Christmas and I’ve been taking it slow and enjoying it when I have weekend / afternoon free time. I like it, to the extent that I’m giving some real thought to growing ATF or an ATF cross in a grow later this year.

Hey Ase, glad to see your girls are doing well after your trip away. Still loving that big girl....mmmmm......love me some big girls!!!

Dobe.....Sounds like that DTF is a bit different than mine. I used Durban Poison to cross to my monster ATF male. I have three going right now....only one is flowering. Can't wait to try it though!

Day 27 Flower Multi-Strain, Day 66 From Seed Tangerine Dream

Today I finally have a chance to do a real update. I'll start the update off with the Tangerine Dream.

The Tangerine Dream to me is ready to be flipped. I am starting to have a few concerns about how much it might stretch and how much space I have left in my 4x4' tent. Plants will stretch vertically as we know but they also stretch a little wider too. As the colas stretch out they are claiming their space. It seems like the branches space themselves out pretty nicely on their own which causes some of the widest colas to have to go even wider, leaving good spacing in the middle for all the central colas. Usually it isn't a ton wider but I want to make sure air can get all up and down the sides of the tents and that no branches are blocking that flow. Some people don't take this into account and fill a tent wall to wall and buds end up growing smooshed against a side of the tent. I really want the airflow to be as good as it can be for this plant since it is so big. Vertically I still have plenty of space so I think I will be fine there. All in all I just get this good feeling when I know plants look ready to be flipped and I felt that today. I did a little more defoliation and some bending of some of the branches that were a little taller and set the timer to 12/12. I think I had a pretty stellar veg period with this girl. I am pretty happy with the size of it considering it has only been in veg for 9 weeks.

Since I had a little more time on my hands this morning I decided to finally get individual plant pictures as best as I could. All in all I am actually very happy with all the plants. The tent is looking spaced out nicely and all I really need to do is hang a fan in the top corner of my tent so that it can start pushing good airflow right at the top canopy. After that it's the most boring time of growing for me because you just feed basically from here on out. About 6 more weeks of this but at least I will have that Tangerine Dream to keep in line. Controlling that thing in stretch is going to be like a cowboy riding a bull.

Double Berry
The Double Berry will be my smallest plant for sure. Almost always one of my plants is smaller than the others. This one is that for this grow but it is showing some good promise. It looks like it will do better than my smaller ones in my other grows and the bud looks like it is going to be dense and chunky. This one will for sure be the plant I pull the first out of the bunch. Indicas typically grow a week or so shorter than Sativas in my experience and I don't feel any different about this grow. It is my most Indica plant and it is short and stout just like it should be. The colas are stacking really well and I think they are going to be some wide colas.

Purple Trainwreck
This Purple Trainwreck is turning out so much better than my last one did. I am really excited for this to finish strong as I haven't had great Trainwreck for a while. This one is also stacking well and the branches are very strong and sturdy. She looks to be a few days ahead of the GSC and DTF.

Girl Scout Cookies
This was my tri-line basically from the very beginning. When I topped it I apparently took one of the branches from node 4 because I did it a little too early. I think I was going out of town or something so I kind of had to but she has become quite the little monster. I really don't have much experience with Girl Scout Cookies but I know it is pretty popular in some areas of the world so I am happy she is doing well. She hasn't been stacking as nicely as the others but her and the DTF will be the last two to finish flowering so there is still time to keep stacking for her. Either way she definitely proved that if you make a mistake with quadlining that you can still get incredible results in the end. Stuff happens and you have to roll with the punches.

Durban ThunderFuck
This was one that I went into this grow wondering how we should do. It was easily proven in my last grow that VanStank had a really strong male he bred for his ATFs. That stuff just kept growing and growing. I'm still sitting on a pile of that and everyone I have had try it really loves the high and the smell. I gave a little to someone the other day before I went on vacation. When he saw me when we got back he said it was one of the best weeds he's every had and he's been smoking for 20 years. One of his homies offered him some of his stuff and I guess he even turned it down because he "didn't even want it anymore since he had mine". Anyways it was a nice tribute to Stank Genetics and the quality bud I got off of his seeds. Even though I had a hard time controlling the ATFs, I got a great yield. I still knew I could do a little better with this DTF to get better looking colas and I have. Extremely happy with this girl and she is going to have the longest colas of them all. No surprise since the ATF had long colas but I can already see these will be much wider. I think I am in for a great end result with this. I love my sativas so I am happy this one seems to be doing the best. It is stacking really well too so my expectations are rising daily.

All in all I think everything is shaping up for a really high quality group of plants. They have had no deficiencies and stretched to a great height. Other than the Double Berry (I wish it was bigger) if all the plants were this size every grow I would be really happy. None of them really seemed to slowed down too much ever. I think I have set these plants up for as good of a finish as they could have and it's time to start pushing the P-K for some monster colas.

Nice update Ase!

Can’t wait to see Tangie get flipped!! Flower girls are looking fantastic

Great work!

I am pretty happy with the size of it considering it has only been in veg for 9 weeks.
A very productive 9 weeks indeed! Lol. They all look great brother!

Not really an update but this is what the Tangerine Dream looked like after it's first night of 12/12. I love a good comeback picture and she is more then ready to start stretching. Look at all the scaling going on already on the trunk as well.

I ve just finished reading your big update. Very interesting! Thanks for sharing that big amount of thoughts and technics!
Besides, the Tangerine Dream is marvelous #streetfightervoice ! I love the recover pic one day after first night of 12/12. Looks like she is the picture of health! Man keep taking care of her she's gonna be impressive for sure!

Day 30 Flower Multi-Strain, Day 3 Flower Tangerine Dream

The best way that I like to show how a plant is swelling up and stacking is to show pics from a week ago and compare them to now. In veg you get to wrestle with the plant and sculpt it and in flower it's a lot of watching. Sometimes it is hard to notice any change in a week but looking at prior pictures does show a change.

Current comparative front shot.
Current side shot.

They have definitely bulked up and kept on moving through their big defoliation. Starting to see frost on all of the girls and starting to really get heavy smells from each. I'll do another more detailed post later on in the week and describe the smells.

The Tangerine Dream is showing just a touch of nute burn. I have been pushing her pretty good so today I did a super light feeding to balance it out. I am so excited to see how she stretches. I've been defoliating her day by day but going to let her just go for a while and see how she spaces out after stretch. I've also taken away all of the stakes with tomato wire for the most part as that part of the plant is super hard and not going anywhere now. I still have the 4 mains strung to the corners of the tent but after stretch I'll let those go too.

Under shot. You can see a lot of knobs where I cut off nodes to keep her spaced well.
Side shot looking pretty even so far.
Canopy shot.
