Day 17 Flower ATFs - Day 9 Veg Multi-strain
Lets start with some bad news! The Durban Poison once again failed (How many thought I was going to say I found a male?). I am planting one last one and if not I will fill the space and quadline one of the ATF clones. You will no longer see me support Crop King Seeds as most of the stuff I have grown from them really has been all over the place. It was free and I likely won't even complain because I've got lots of other options but the only thing I've really grown from them that I would do again was the Crown Royale. The one I grew has been amazing and my go to smoke at night to get me to the point of relaxation that I like to be at.
So far from Crop King Seeds I've grown:
1. Crown Royale - Great bud structure, plant size and above average yield. In it's prime one of the top 5 smokes I've grown.
2. Green Crack - Good bud structure, tiny plant size and yield. Smoke is great but plant was so small and below average yield.
3. Purple Kush - Terrible bud structure, huge lanky plant and great yield. Smoke was okay but not great.
4. Cali OG Kush/Haze - Plant was good sized but hermed after stretch. May have been my fault with heat but others in the tent did not and were exposed to same conditions.
5. Durban Poison - First time ever not getting a seed to germ at all. Next seed sprouted and just died. Never have had any problems getting things going from seed so I know it's not my system that's at fault. Also 3/3 on the seeds I planted with it and they are all fine and exposed to same conditions.
6. CBDream - Jury is still out because girlfriend is doing this grow but no issues yet and all plants look to be a good size.
I appreciate the free stuff and their contributions to these forums but I made it clear that I had no issues with them before. Plenty of others have had issues between customer service and getting inconsistent seeds. I just wanted people to know that I have a large enough sample size now and the inconsistency with their products really is frustrating as a grower.
Anyways, the ATF clones all got stripped and I planted them deep in their new homes. Roots will start sprouting out the stem now so no big deal that I put them all they way down in the pots and then just covered it with treated coco. No need to really show the small girls as nothing has changed much and the Durban Poison news is out of the way.
Before
After. A little stressed from the defoliation/transplant and big watering. The little one will be going to a new home tomorrow so that is why I didn't transplant it. It will become an outdoor plant at a friends house as we have had some really bad windstorms and she told me the wind blew over and broke like 75% of her plants. It was the least I could do as she was pretty sad about it. They were regular seeds too so that's a small likelihood of even getting a female and this way she will for sure get one. It's her first grow and I don't want it to be a total disappointment as she is trying really hard.
The bounceback went really well with the flowering ATFs but they keep stretching! I'm going to assume I see the 3 big ones start to slow down a bit. I'm hoping the back right one gets a boost as it has the fewest hairs on it out of the bunch so maybe it's a couple days behind the other. That would be a great surprise.
