Antics Perpetual Learning Experience

well that sucks bro but if you say you say you cant wait to use another brand then they must not be that good. i was thinking about switching to Advance nutes any advice and can i switch up my nues from fox farm to advance?

The nutes themselves aren't too bad (I also haven't used others to compare though), but when someone asks what I use, it sucks not being able to tell them lol. It'll be easier with another nutrient so I can easily reply "I'm using xxxx nutes on this grow" Know what I mean?

I'm not sure on the switch. I don't see why it wouldn't work, but who knows, there could be problems? The only thing I can see being a hang up, is possibly getting used to mixing them at different measurements according to the directions. Other than that, I can't imagine any other issues with it.

Lovely photo update Antics. They look to my untrained eye like at least a few more weeks, don't you think? The pistils still have lots of color change and pull back to get through. Maybe by the end the buds will have swelled enough to make you happier about the yield. The frosty nature speaks well about potency, eh? We're pulling for you.

The pistils already pretty much all went orange/brown, and there's a new batch coming in now. From how the plant looks, I'm not sure how long she has, from the trichomes that I saw a few days ago, she has at least 2 more weeks in my unprofessional opinion. Mostly clear on the buds, and barely any ambers on the sugar leaves either.

I'd normally be pretty happy with any yield, but I now have someone who absolutely relies on it to function. Their pharmaceuticals didn't do shit for the pain associated with fibromyalgia, so they NEED what I supply just to make it day to day. If I don't have a good yield, one, two, or three people may not have their meds when they need it.

I hope the frostiness is an indicator, it would definitely help make up for a lower than hoped for yield. Thanks Sue!

And I've said it before, but just to say it again for anyone new to the journal, I never charge for the Cannabis I give away.

I recently convinced my daughter to try cannabis over Xanax and she was surprised to find it worked! Now my grow has to support another casual user (she's only using it for sound nightmare-free sleeping at this point) so it's a good thing I pulled a good yield. Now I have to increase my output and go perpetual to keep them from ever running out.

It's a great responsibility that I take very seriously. As do you.

Up lighting. This is a brand new idea for me and one I find fascinating. I watched a video last month that haunts me. A very provocative technique. Someday I'm going to add it in. Someday.

This is my idea of Up lighting.

That frost is amazing my friend, keep up the good work! :) :thumb::cheer:

Don't you just love the way everything is covered in healthy-looking trichomes? That LED is being very good to Antics.

Snap a few pics after the lights go out.the pink glow makes it hard to really tell what the buds look like.plus the flash makes the trichs shine like diamonds

I would prefer not to, honestly. I don't want to add any additional risk of creating a hermie. I know it's only a few seconds, and likely wouldn't cause a problem in most cases, but I just don't want to chance it.

I'll take pictures in normal light once I harvest it.

That's awesome Sue, it's nice to hear she gave it a shot! And I bet you had a really good feeling inside, knowing that the simple plant you've been growing was able to do more for your daughter than the pharmaceutical garbage. I know I certainly get that giddy feeling every time someone is like "whoa, it works!"
And yes, I definitely share that same feeling... the heavy responsibility to provide an effective treatment. But we also have a fantastic stress relief treatment at our disposal as well :)

Antics, go to settings, hit the idiot's user name, go to his profile page and ignore him. The images and all his crap vanish like smoke in the wind. Let's all do this and let him waste his time until he bores of it. There's no need to indulge him any further. Put him on your ignore list. Every name he chooses. Do it now.

It's funny how bored some people are isn't it SS? I just scroll down without looking and read all the good posts. Ignorance is bliss and he'll keep doing what he's doing as long as he gets attention. Just can't give him the satisfaction of a response of any kind :) One love people :Namaste:

As for the troll, I don't even see their posts. The moderators shut him down every time, so life is good. And if I do happen to see one, I just report it and ignore it. It's not even worth my time.

Muchos Gracias! But the bud growth is still bugging me lol. And this is turning into an update, so I'm going to call it that!
Day 53 Flower.
I still have 2-3 weeks left going by the breeder time of 65-70 days (The trichomes agree, as I barely have any cloudy on the buds), so I'm going to increase the level of nutes tomorrow. Quite a bit, actually. In past grows, I'd occasionally see a little tip burned here or there, but I haven't seen that at all this grow. Everything has been a mild deficiency here or there. PH is always under control @ 5.8, so it's not a lockout issue causing the mild deficiencies.

And as of lately, I've been seeing some red streaks appearing on my stems, so I'm thinking that maybe she isn't quite getting all the nutes she wants or needs.
Previously, I was feeding at a rate of:
4ml/gal micro
4ml/gal grow
10ml/gal bloom

Watering 2x per day to somewhere between 10-20% runoff each time, and keeping the drain tray filled halfway for the roots in there.

Tomorrow I'm going to increase this to:
7ml/gal micro
12ml/gal grow
20ml/gal bloom

I will continue to supplement CalMag as well, at a rate of 1/2 TBSP/gal.

I'll watch her closely and look for signs of burn, if I don't see any trouble, I'll continue feeding at this rate for the remainder of the grow. If I see any nute burn, I'll reduce the levels by 10% until I don't see any burn appearing.

Ohhh alright lol. Sorry man, I was just watching something on the computer here and nodded off for a bit, so I just woke up when I read that.

Usually most nutes that let you mix them, with separate micro, grow and bloom, or even 2 parts will work great, since you can mix them with more Veg specific nutes, or Flower specific nutes, depending on the stage of growth the plant is in.

I don't know what brand I'll be buying next, but it will definitely be a multiple bottle nute system :thumb:

Hell no man, it's the afternoon here lol. I was trying to finish watching an episode of Dexter, but for some reason I fall asleep every freaking time. Which annoys my girlfriend lol. I don't know what it is, the show just puts me to sleep. It's cool and all, I just can't stay awake.

And I have an update on my temporary Veg cabinet lol

Cotton Candy is a monster so far, and doing the best:

Big Bang is on the fence now, one cotelydon is dead, the other isn't looking too good, and new growth seems dried:

The 2nd Big Bang hasn't emerged from the soil yet, but I'm guessing tomorrow, or the next day to see her.

And the clones haven't rooted yet (as expected), but they're also not dead either. I've noticed some yellowing of a couple leaves, but they're all doing pretty good otherwise, no wilting noticed yet either:

Hey Antics things seem to be going well.

Have you looked at Gen Org I have used that since this all began and now that I seem to have it all figured out things seem to be running very smoothly not counting the bug thing. It is a complete line of products with a good feeding chart that I use all the time.

I haven't started really shopping around or comparing brands, but I am currently using General Organics CalMag :thumb:
I'll take a look at their lines as well, thanks brother!
