Those little ones are looking well good bro I've never used CFL's so i can't really comment on the subject of that but i think i would agree with the others about the LED, less trouble and overall more lumens being produced. I'd forgotten that you wanted to test this light on its own.

When I think of using CFLs it never entails a canopy. Your LED is your canopy light. I was thinking more of using them in adapters plugged into power strips or hung free around the plant for side lighting. The 23 Watt CFL is a very efficient way to get light to the plant. If you keep it within 3" it's hard to beat for usable light efficiency. I know that side lighting made a big difference in my first grow. I'm going to do the same thing with this grow, but with the LED over the canopy.

I like your thinking! because I was going to same pretty much the same thing about CFLs and how they can be better than an L.E.D. panel because you can arrange them in any way to get light into dark areas. I use them on top, on sides, and as up lighting. The panel is stuck way up high, so using both makes sense.

I think instead of more lighting, Vscrog. All buds at the same height no need for side lighting, all buds are on one plane getting a good blast of LED light and all its intensity.

I'm down to 5-10 days on the 5th element and 13 days on the chocoloco.the chocoloco's buds are super dense.i am very happy with the look and feel from it.but the 5th element on the other hand has pretty light buds.i do see them packing on a little but still not what I was expecting.im hoping they will fatten up over the next week before she's ready to be chopped.cant wait to see ur harvest.

Today is Day 51 since 12/12 flip, and The breeder claims 65-70 days, on Herbies site it says 9 weeks (63 days) so I can still wait 2-3 weeks before harvest, and I can probably push it to 4 weeks if needed. I checked trichomes a few days ago, and they were mostly clear, so I definitely have time.

The bud density is ok so far, probably not as good as yours, but definitely not fluffy and airy. The only thing saving SB is the number of trichomes I'm seeing, the undersides of the sugar leaves are absolutely covered. I'll have to try to take a couple pictures tomorrow of the undersides of the buds and sugar leaves. I'm happy with that for sure.

As of now, I'm guessing yield is going to fall somewhere between .5-1.25 ounces. It's not the best, and certainly not my best, but I'm still excited about seeing what kind of potency she has.

Day 52 of 65-70

Still not seeing a ton of bud growth, and a few calyxes are starting to swell up to about the halfway point.
Buds are super sticky but with very little smell, and the finish line is quickly approaching.

Lovely photo update Antics. They look to my untrained eye like at least a few more weeks, don't you think? The pistils still have lots of color change and pull back to get through. Maybe by the end the buds will have swelled enough to make you happier about the yield. The frosty nature speaks well about potency, eh? We're pulling for you.
