Another Brix In The Wall: Sweet Pink Stink & Coked Out Girl Scout

re: Another Brix In The Wall - Sweet Pink Stink & Girl Scout

Yeah ours puts out .5 gallons of water an hour lol. But humidifies 300 sq/ft quite well to 60% and cycles on and off every few minutes. Something to think about when you move your tents back out of the house. :thumb:

I actually have to use a dehumidifier in the garage. I'd still like to build a dedicated gr/shed but don't think I can justify it.

re: Another Brix In The Wall - Sweet Pink Stink & Girl Scout

So my seeds popped their heads above ground today, they're money maker and special kush and were replacements for the 2 I dropped. I went looking through the soil of one yesterday for the tap root/seedling but didn't find it and today I decided to give up on the 2nd one and was top dressing my girl in flower with the soil from the #1, low and behold, big fat tap root so I quickly scooped up some soil in a small pot and put the tap root in, I'll let you know if she makes it, that one is the super OG kush.

I added the humidifier and put it on a timer to go on for an hour then off for an hour during the lights on period and off during lights out. It was at 79 degrees and 43 rh and will see where it is at in an hour. I did give her 2 gallons of water though so that may effect rh too. Also took a couple pics from different angles.

re: Another Brix In The Wall - Sweet Pink Stink & Girl Scout

Could that be the cause of my symptoms? What's odd is that the environment has not changed and the plant looked great one week ago.

Symptoms

IMG_20170119_203636_1.jpg

Almost every problem is an environmental problem, especially in a High Brix grow.

If it is too dry, stomata close and the plant begins to stress, using up lots of potassium in the process. Because the plant isn't respiring and the metabolism is low, Pretending it's a deficiency and trying to play catch up with salts won't work. , The leaves won't like a foliar feed much either as the stomata close in hot, dry conditions.

Once they close for the long term, you see symptoms in 48 hours, with necrosis in a week. Pretty much on your timetable it seems.

MJ likes a fairly mild climate and requires a good deal of humidity with higher temps if it is to grow right.

Here's a fix: Keep temps down, and rH at about 50% for 4 days or until new growth looks vibrant and no more necrosis is occuring. Cut off all the ugly leaves. Give a rescue drench and then raise humidity to 60% and then go ahead and let the temps get up to 80. That should help it finish strong.

I haven't said it in a while, but I've said it literally hundreds of times:

Nothing is more important than the environment! That includes The Kit, and everything else. Environment is the number one concern.

OK, will do Doc, thanks! I added an oscillating fan and a real dehumidifier since the cheap I one did nothing and environment is pretty good. Will keep an eye on it and try to get the temps down a little more by leaving the window opened when I can.

re: Another Brix In The Wall - Sweet Pink Stink & Girl Scout

Thanks DB!

For the rescue drench of my budding girl, I want t make sure I give the right amounts.

Directions say, 1 oz. Transplant per gallon of water with 6 mils of Tea. Feed a solution with this composition to all the plants. It will re-colonize the roots and get things back on track. Do not do this if you aren't having any problems.

So if I am giving 2 gallons of water am I giving 2 oz of transplant and 12 ml of tea or am I dividing by 4 since my 1 plant is in a #10?

1 oz per gallon of Transplant with 6mils Tea. So, for two gallons it's double. Simple. Easy.

re: Another Brix In The Wall - Sweet Pink Stink & Girl Scout

OK, thanks Doc! That's what I thought, I just wanted to make sure it wasn't supposed to be distributed between six #7's or four #10's. Will be doing this tonight or tomorrow.

Ya Ween , it's all about how much water your using...not how much soil OK. One ounce per/gal. is one ounce per gal...no matter how many plants you'le water with that Gal...OK! So, if you need 2 gal's or three or four to water your plants properly always mix as per instructions using gallons...got it? Cheers bud.:)

Got it, thanks bud! :high-five:

re: Another Brix In The Wall - Sweet Pink Stink & Girl Scout

Boom! There ya go. Looks great. Remember this a do a Super Drench next time in order to head off the problems this round. You're starting to get into the rhythm of it.

Thanks again Doc! Do you mean on my next grow do a super drench or on my next drench with this plant? If the latter, is it safe to assume that I should do 2 straight RO waters before the SD?

If I am doing a SD with this plant, I want to make sure I have the correct amounts. The directions call for "1 Cup (yes 8 oz) of Transplant plus 10 mils Tea per 5 gallons of water. Give each plant 1 gallon of this." So since I only have 1 plant should I divide by 5? 8oz's is about 240 Mls so 48ml of trans and 2ml of tea per 1 gallon of water?

re: Another Brix In The Wall - Sweet Pink Stink & Girl Scout

I'm pretty sure Doc is referring to a "next" run ween. So just make note that this strain likes a super drench in week ? of bloom.

Thanks Budley! I'll go with this unless Doc says otherwise, so next drench will be GE.

Have a Rockin Day people!

Absolutely stunning buds ween. Coming along very nicely to say the least!

Thanks DB! Im real happy with this plant and expect a bunch of massive colas by the end. Glad I cleaned up the underside really good, no popcorn buds on this one.

Rock on!
