Another Brix In The Wall: Sweet Pink Stink & Coked Out Girl Scout

re: Another Brix In The Wall - Sweet Pink Stink & Girl Scout

Thanks again Doc! Do you mean on my next grow do a super drench or on my next drench with this plant? If the latter, is it safe to assume that I should do 2 straight RO waters before the SD?

If I am doing a SD with this plant, I want to make sure I have the correct amounts. The directions call for "1 Cup (yes 8 oz) of Transplant plus 10 mils Tea per 5 gallons of water. Give each plant 1 gallon of this." So since I only have 1 plant should I divide by 5? 8oz's is about 240 Mls so 48ml of trans and 2ml of tea per 1 gallon of water?

Yep. I was speaking about the next time you grow this strain, head off the problems before they appear.

No need for 2 RO drenches in between, just time the Super Drench for a week before the yellowing began this time.

Your math is correct too. Good work!

Happy Friday everyone!

I completely agree with Doc, environment is most important.

Humidity, temps, PH. With a proper soil grow, PH takes care of itself, but for hydro guys like me, it is super important. A good name brand PH pen is super important for me.

Mornin Ween , Ledrf, ya ,...what about the PH of our 'kit' soil. I've never worried about it but that being said, the water that goes in is right at neutral 7, and i'm thinking our soil is around that too ...but it would always be on the move as different Drenches and foliars are applied It's prolly just about perfect at 6.5 or so,...dunno...don't care.:)
Have a great day Ween , LEDRF and gang!:high-five:

Lil 'Double Berry, in first run DBHBB...wonder what the PH is?. maybe it's correct eh...:slide:

Your Lil' Double Berry is a might fine looking plant.
Also beautiful leaf size for her plant size. :)

Hey Rad, good to see you about . Top of the evenin to ya brotha!
Thanks for the nice words too. She doesn't look too happy right now...they got thrown off their routine today , with the transplanting and all. Take a few days before they grab the dirt and run with it. That lil one needs a couple weeks to impress me , or she's gone and i'l work on the other for a shot at POTM again...bin a while since i entered that contest...we'le see. Anyhow cheers Ween, Rad. and friends:passitleft:

Wow, good read, time to start that string of thoughts:)

Welcome Jesse! Thanks for stopping in, I took a stroll through your garden, good stuff.

I feel like my seedlings are moving a little slow but they're doing ok. It's been 11 days since they poked their heads out of the soil.

My budding girl slowed a bit since the issue/rescue but buds are swelling and still smell super sweet.

re: Another Brix In The Wall - Sweet Pink Stink & Girl Scout

How many days in shOuld my seedling get its first GE and will it be at normal strength which is double because of the dunking. I am thinking about day 21 or so....?

Evenin Ween, no need to give any Drench for the first month , at least. Wait until they are no longer a "seedling". Very small plants just don't need it , they love our soil, just let them be for a while...don't feel like you have to feed it something, remember you cooked that soil and it's full of minerals and other good stuff , so just wait. Mine are about 6 weeks old now and haven't gotten any GE yet, soon though. cheers.

Ok, thanks Duggan! When do you start Brix?

Right around the same time. Remember the foliars feed the soil , via the roots, then the critters feed the plant. That's how it works, so there has to be a good foundation of roots developed ,and some nice foilage for the foilars to be effective. I have found it's best to just give them a really proper, stable , enviro...with our soil and some water, is best for the first 6 weeks or so, from seed of course.
When you do start giving 'Drenches', and by those i mean, Transplant, G.E. and Cationic Drench. Start off with a Drench (as per directions)
of GE w/Tea then give two drinks just water, then give a Drench of Transplant w/Tea, then one or two drinks of just water, then another Drench of GE w/Tea....repeat! You have to always remember , we are growing in containers, so , whatever we put in them stays there , to some degree....plus we wanna use this soil again :) Another thing,..unless the plants hurting , stressed or being trained, giving DeStress is not required...at all. So what i do is pick a day of the week , like say in between drinks, or Drenches, and give a misting of Brix w/WAyx10. My plants always love a good misting of that combo , once a week,...but no more , you can burn the roots if you give too much foliars, OK. Anyhow , hope this has helped , my brotha!:thumb::high-five::Namaste:

This is a really nice explanation of drenches.

Duggs,

You slay me how you manage to bob and weave amongst all of us offering your clear direction to newbies to Doc's kit and mentor us all....my favorite words of yours, however, is the one where you must "leave your ego at the door"......

Don't go changin' on us now.....:Namaste:

re: Another Brix In The Wall - Sweet Pink Stink & Girl Scout

Ok so I'm having a harder time dialing in environment in my house than when they were in my garage, humidity is low (only in my veg/seedling tent because bloom has a humidifier) and lights out temps occasionally get in the low 60's (usually upper 60's but sometimes I forget to turn the heat up, the tents don't have heaters because they were tripping the breakers.) I want to get some low wattage tubular greenhouse heaters but they only seem to be available in Europe.

I am hoping my poor environment is the cause of slow seedling growth and poor leaf health seen in pictures as opposed to something else. They came out of the soil 17 days ago so compared to others I've seen they are pretty small for their age.

Thoughts suggestions? I will order a 2nd humidifier and was thinking of getting a sentinel DEC-4 (does CO2 but only on off, you can't tweak amounts which is ok because I don't use CO2)
