Thanks folks! Things in the garden are quite well. I’ve been enjoying the relief of having all the up-potting for the summer done at last so having no more 1gal pots to tend to, phew! Much more restful.

Drenches, Foliars and rain and heat have all been happening and I’ll update later tomorrow...

In the meantime, I have to share my excitement about a little Christmas present I bought myself with some Christmas dollars...

I’ve been bit bummed for a while that I don’t have the energy to make any hash (@newty ). I’ve been thinking about getting bubble-bags and doing it like Duggan, or getting a screen so I can dry sift. But both of these would cost money I don’t and still require me to have extra capacity and get someone in to help me. ... I can just see it never happening... so! ...

A few days ago i realised there were some Christmas dollars (a gift) sitting in my account so I splashed out on this! It’s way better than the plastic one I’ve been using for over a year (it was a storZ and Bickel, so not total crap, but still, plastic) and look at its features...

Mini hash collection every time I chop up! :slide:

Sweet new grinder and keif collection area!

Finger hash is always great

Love the structure!!

Happy full moon:)

I forgot to charge all my crystals last night!! What do I do? Can I smudge them?

I’m such a new crystal owner

I need to take better care of them. Can you also tell me how to charge them for the next full moon:battingeyelashes: like is there a certain window or bowl I should put them in?? Thanks Amy!

Oooh - I haven’t been a good witch with my rocks for years... I really mean years  ... I think it’s ok on a waning moon too... but lemme check :nomo:

@newty So by memory tho, different moon phases are used for different effect - cleansing and charging on the waxing to full moon and clearing/reducing on the waning. I can’t find my old book about it, but there’s a dozen million sites of reference on the web I just discovered. Overwhelmed me so I resorted to memory ... this one seems to reflect kind of what I remember... it’s Southern Hemisphere so bear that in mind, all the stuff about phases of the moon and how to use them is relevant anywhere. :Namaste:

FWIW cold water washing is a great cleanse and candle light apparently charges them. Black candles especially - again by memory. I’ve not practiced any of these things for a long while... your making me think I should collect them all from around the place for some maintenance...

I think you could have a couple students! I’m interested :) I’m finding a few growers online using crystals and moon cycles as part of their routine and it has me watching!! It’s pretty interesting to me. I’ll keep doing my reading.

The funny thing is that my daughter has been buying me crystals for a few years now so I want to start using them.

what frequency is their vibration?:hmmmm: Does it depend on type of crystal?:hmmmm:
Yes I think it does. Really diving 25 years into the memory banks here  who knows what else I will find.

I have one or 2 good books that used to be my guides (we’re talking pre-internet-everywhere so, yeah, books) ... I think I know where they are. Will dig them out later ;)

Ok - if you know what they are called and/or put a pic on here I will consult my crystal bible (which I just remembered where it is) and share the apparent properties of them...

But I’ll get a few updates in first... hopefully I’m only minutes away!
:Namaste:

No rush! I need to wash some of them from this last grow. I know I have quartz, amethyst and a healing wand? It’s like all the colours! I’ll find the others:)

I’ll take some good clear pics of all my beauties and message you prob! Lol unless I can keep it weed related of course.

Update: White Widow - day 70

A little over a week ago this darling got transplanted onto a 13gal pot. (Tangent: tell me, in what computer universe should transplanted get autocorrected to “transputer”)

Anyhooo... transplant ready 13gal pot of 1st run DBHBB soil

White Widow roots at day 59 - under different circumstances I might’ve let it go longer, but these small pots outside in the hot weather, and the rain, i’m learning, are not ideal and require a lot of management. I’ll do things a bit diffferntly next year. Nonetheless, these roots are ok, esp considering the challenges of a super uncontrollable environment!

Here she is in the new digs - crappy pic makes it hard to see, but I wanted some record of where it was at so i can compare. I’m already excited having gone through the photos and seen how much its filled out already, after only 10 or days in the new pot! :battingeyelashes: But i’m getting ahead (well, not ahead of the now ;), just ahead of the story...)... here she is after only minutes in the new digs.

Two days later and things are settling in nicely. You can see where I supercropped and how they have straightened right up again. They did that quickly!

This is a fuzzy zoom in - again, for the records ;) cause I didnt have another one showing the whole size n shape from this time. This is the same day as above, 2 days after transplant

Even tho the bounce back after my gentle supercrops was fast, it still triggered some vigor in the shoots below.

I realised I still had time before flowering kicked in so when it was a little bit dry, and therefore happy to bend (thanks @newty for the discovery - and for sharing it), I tied the 4 central tops down to let the middle fill-in.

This is 4 days later.

So on Sunday, 8 days after transplant, there was some nice evening light.

Tops are filling in nicely through the centre.

One or two of the original large fans look like this from athe calcium deprivation I subjected them to. Can I be taking those off? They dont get a huge amount of sun.

And because I can’t let that be the last image of the feature plant, this one was yesterday, Monday (I’m at Tuesday morning), day 68 from sprout, 9 days in the new pot. There has been some rain so teh last drench i split in 2 and chased the gentle overnight rains with them 2 mornings in a row (using less water than if the pot had been dry) - all up it got 15ml of GrowthIonic drench, and 1.5ml of tea in 2 lots of 2L h20, with a few ml of rain beforehand and in between.

It’s a very happy accident that the 3 photoperiods have ended up lined up like this - it’s literally the view as I leave the Gardner’s enclosure. Updates on the kids up the back are pending :slide:

:Namaste:

Update: White Widow supplemental

I skipped something I’d documented.

I realised at certain point that the Gnatnix on the large pots (like i’ve done for the autos we havent met yet, they’re coming ;)), is going to make the practice of recharging the soil a tad challenging. The Gnatnix can blend with teh top soil a bit, and roots make happy homes in ther too. Ive read that using some kind of geo-cloth on top of the soil, under the Gnatnix can help a lot with this a dont sounded like a good idea for making the recharging easier too. I dont have any specific geo-cloth but I had this treasured old shirt put out to pasture, organic cotton/linen knit. I placed it on top of the soil, carefully laid the Gnatnix on top and trimmed off the excess around the edges :thumb:

Recharge will still be tricky, but hopefully much less so.

:Namaste:
