Alaskan1's Flo n Gro Mixed Bag Grow

Your brilliant!!!!
This is ONE of the reasons I nominated you Smokz!
For tonight I'm hooking everything back up. Going 1/4 nutes and leaving out the magical and sugar daddy. Will be adding H202 and Hygrozyme until I can get some a this tea shit made up. Would I be better off Getting some great white until I can make this tea or will the hygrozyme suffice?

Well just put everything back together and gave then 1/4 nutes and left out the magical and sugar daddy. I also added H202 and Hygrozyme PH to 5.7
Even though they were suppose to get a watering until 10am I went ahead and ran the system one time thru to give them some good shit and test the system for water leaks.
Looks like my plants will be getting H202 every nute change from now on. Can't afford to loose another crop.

BIG thanks to Jandre & Smokz......I tried to rep you guys but apparently I need to spread it around some!

Rep right now is not important, getting your babies well again is. I hope this works out for you, man.

You just don't have any luck do ya. Guess that avatar fits ya wile e coyote. Pop up a tent here. spring another there always chasing the road runner. The Acme Co is doing well these days selling tents and flow n grow systems. Unboxing LED lights in the cave and to have it all blow up in your face day after day

just pokin fun

LMAO

Wait, did you really have something wrong? Please don't take this wrong, just want to slow things down for a moment, perhaps.

Was it just bubbly nutrient solution, or was there real evidence of some sort of root rot/pithium issue? Sometimes airstones bubble up certain additives and can make them foamy, but there is nothing wrong. You should see how foamy fresh DM Zone can get with airstones, but it's good "healthy" foam...

Sometimes having your environment too sterile is a detriment to the grow - h2o2 has it's down side, which is it kills the beneficial organisms that may live in your system, too, forcing you to rely on your nutrients much more as far as your plants needs.

I just want to make sure you aren't over loving, over worrying, over reacting. We all do it, especially the first few grows. Having said that, I read through things pretty quick and I'm medicated, so maybe I missed something.

The plant has waste matter that goes back to the nutrient solution, and salts get built up, airstones can cause foaming, residue and gunk from leftover nutrient biproducts... Just want to make sure there was indeed something wrong.

I believe Smokz was saying that if there is indeed root rot sort of issues, your PH should have spiked down, too. Was that something that happened?

Tons of positive vibes your way - I know how important this is to you, but that's why I want to slow this down a little for further examination... :cheertwo:

Thanks X for giving the feedback. There was a brown sludge I found at the waterline which I have seen before when I had the root rot issues in my bubbler buckets. That with the foam all over the place led me to believe that it was indeed root rot or the beginings of it.
With the way things have been going I just can't take a chance.
The PH has been going up. I know that your saying about the PH going down but I don't find that to be the case. Even when I had very terrible issues that ultimately killed the bubbler bucket plants I never saw the PH going down.

I could be WAY wrong and I could have jumped the gun but I'd rather be in error on the safe side then the unsafe side. Plants looking really good right now. Even grew and got bushier over night. I'm going to go take some reading and I'll post them.

If you're doing a high dose of h202 I'd suggest leaving the hygrozyme out. H202 will also create foamy bubbles. Think of it like pouring on a fresh road rash wound on your knee. After about 2 - 3 days the h202 will be just water. Then it's a good time to add the hygrozyme so it can do it's work to it's fullest.

You are right! Just got off the phone with Titan Flo n Gro and Technoflora reps

I'll start with Technoflora.
I know someone said that the root rot likes to feed off sugars but they said that's absolutley false. They said to use the normal feeding schedule and either use the H202 or Hygrozyme but not both together. They said one will cancel out the other.
Titan rep pretty much said the same thing. He said the best way to clean the system is not with H202 but bleach. He said VERY LITTLE bleach. Flush the system with that and clean what you can. Then, add either add Hydrorush or Hygrozyme.

Both reps said that either H202 or Hygrozyme will ward off root rot but not to be used together.

y'know... this was in the back of my mind, but I saw the blotchy darkness in the filter bag... so I dunno. Safe/Sorry?
