Alafornia's 1st Time Multistrain Medical Grow

Thanks, everyone!

@carcass , just trying to let them do the bulk of the work and not trip on my face like I have a couple times already.

I did wake up early but then went back to sleep. It's a beautiful day. Gonna be a hot one, though.

Out side temp 73 Vulcan degrees

Humidity 33%

Tent temp 82 Vulcan degrees

Humidity 23%

Towel had dried out completely because I slept late. :)

2 cups of water were shared amongst the plants with a light sprinkle added to a couple because I needed just a bit more water.

Morning pics:

First the group. Everyone looks good. MH1’s lower leaves’ lighter color is slightly more pronounced. Will keep a close eye on her.

Then Westley. She is growing fast.

Took a few minutes to stir up the super soil again. Nice rich soil just waiting for me to up-pot.

Hope everyone is having a great day.

I am definitely seeing roots at the bottom of each and every "pot" now, more on MH1, NL, OS, and BB, less on the two White Russians and OGK CD.

The first four and Westley are on day 16 after germination. OGK CBD #2 is day 13 and WR #2 is day 10. Of course, Westley struggled for a bit thanks to me.

I think the first four are ready for up-potting while the other three can wait.

Thoughts?

I have to go to the nursery, drug store, grocery, and take my boy to the pool so it will be tonight or tomorrow before I do anything.

Pool was closed for "unexpected circumstances". Oh, well...

I have some pots to clean.

There’s a few there that look like their ready for a good ol’ transplantation! Lol

Everything is looking great Al! Keep it up!!:thumb:

Ohh the pools closed, shucks (as I swing my arm)

Yup. Just checked them all and all have roots at the bottom. I think MH1 is near being or is rootbound. I'll try to take pics when transplanting.

All plants transplanted. Pics to come.

Alright, Let's get this show on the road!

First up: Old and new homes.

I prepared the new 1 gal pots by placing my home mixed super soil in the bottom then placing a dixie cup in the middle on top of the new soil and then around the cup, taking the time to shake, slightly press, and make sure it reached the top when I was done. The soil settles a good bit and you can pack it in a little without packing it too tightly. Think Goldilocks - not too loose, not too tight, but juuuuust riiight. Then I took the cup out and sprinkled some mycorrhizae into the newly formed holes, which are now just the right size for the soil from our plants' old homes to fit right in.

Mrs. Alafornia gave an assist with taking pictures of the roots as the up-potting took place. A big round of applause! Thanks, Babe.

The astute eye will notice the order is out of whack again. Everyone had roots to the bottom. Westley was the least dense. Maybe I should have waited - that's debatable I guess - but I went ahead with it.

More to come....

White Russian #2 is the youngest of the bunch, but boy didn't she have some awesome roots?! Just wow!

Next up are the girls in their new homes, first in the old arrangement then in the new arrangement.

I had one CMH at 315 watts previously. I set both on to 245 watts each to get a little wider coverage and not add too much at once.

I gave all the plants a good watering following @Emilya 's technique of outside to inside. I probably slightly overdid it as I had to empty out the pans underneath of standing water. Well, at least I know they got plenty of water to mix the soils.

Well, I think I covered everything. I may check on them once more before lights out just to see how they're doing.

P.S. I forgot to label the new pots prior to moving them. I realized on Northern Lights and just put them in their old arrangement to keep track of them. Oddly enough, I feel like I know them well enough to pick them out of a lineup anyway. Still, remember to label the new pots first, knucklehead. Oh, and I couldn't find the ones to put in the soil so I just used labels like the first set.

Everyone is tucked in for the night. It's almost lights out.

A slightly closer look at MH1's lower leaf - looking quite yellow and was there prior to up-potting.

I guess it's too late to call these "solo" pics, so individual pics? :)

Wet the towel again. I really need to find the humidifier I want.

First of all I want to give mrs.Alafornia a high five for giving you a hand :high-five: awesome job!

I’ll give them two maybe three weeks before they outgrow those pots, so don’t get too comfortable with them in those homes lol.

You will eventually get to the point where you don’t even need the tags anymore, you will know each plant just by looking at them lol:thumb:

Also I wanted to say something else, but I can’t remember, hang on...

Ahh yes, the yellowing, were the roots pretty bad in that one? I wonder if it was getting root bound

I wondered that myself and said so in a post above. I think I waited too long on a couple of them.

Gotta check on them soon. Back in a bit.

MH 1 seems to be liking her new home.

My theory is these problems were already showing prior to transplant and show she was getting root bound but is actually improving. I think we transplanted before it got too bad.
