Ace Panama, Groot, In High Brix

Went and got a new timer yesterday. Pretty sure it’s not my timer but when I replaced the one on my veg cabinet... I decided pretty fast that I love this style. Anyone else use and like this style timer? I just love how you don’t need to worry if a tab is part up or down... just slide the pin in your in and off position and done! And they come with 6 pins, 3 on, 3 off

I have used that style and more recently was trying to use it on the Far-Red Puck but you cant set THE PINS
any less than a 45min ON/OFF MIN TIMER. Putting the pins as close as you can next to each other on mine
is a 45 time and noticed sometimes it would not go off so had to use the push pin version, digital is nice
as well unless your using one of those 8 day versions (still have trouble with those)

Anyway just a heads up for anyone trying to do a timed cycle less than 45 min

Hey gang, just wanted to drop some pics of the Ace Panama Cob. Its now been a week since the sweat and ferment.... its definitely getting a lighter color... turning gold! I know its not gonna be as good as it will be... but I trimmed a half a gram or so and plan on smoking it later today or tomorrow if its too wet. Just for shits and giggles...

Thanks for looking!

That cob is looking good, you will sure enjoy it.

It takes plants a good long time to overcome stress. I know you said you were going to Brix her... Did that come from someone here? I don't remember reading it. Anyways.. as the bottle says "De-Stress" if it were me and Doc or someone else did not tell me other wise I think I would use 1/2 strength de-stress on her every 2-3 days and see if she starts pulling out. If you planned to cull her anyways you have little to nothing to loose if it don't help.

Hey Meds... thats a good idea... She has straightened out the weird leaves, so who knows, maybe that will work. I dont plan to cull her, would like to get something. But I am not afraid to try this out...

I did spray her with De-Stress on sunday, full strength... so I will mix some half strength starting tomorrow... Thank you so much for this idea. Even if it doesn't work, it will be interesting to see what she does do.

TBH, I have no idea why it got so stressed. Her environment is really good, light is good, plenty of airflow... and she still went crazy on me. All I do know is I will avoid clones for now because I had a wonder woman clone do the same thing!

Cannabis can be a fickle mistress...constantly getting reminded of that  One moment I'm like "I got this growing down pat" nek minut "fuck me i can't get this right" lol.

How'd that cob go? Send you to the moon?
Hey there NW, well the Cob was pretty good. But had a hell of a peppery burn in the throat as of now. I am sure it will smooth out in time. I did smoke it, not eat it... after a few more weeks I may try eating a tad or smoking a tad more. The high from it was smoother than that from the flower but didn't seem to last too long.... will probably improve more with cure.

Yea... I love growing. But all these issues sure can be a bummer,

Good to know as I haven't tried smoking any yet. I'm waiting for at least the 3 month mark to have a smoke of it, really want to let it develop before doing that. I'd suggest having a .5g chew next time, the high is long lasting and quite enjoyable if you like leaving the planet here and there ;)

All part of the 'fun'. They sure can be a bummer but if we all were perfect growers from the start there wouldn't be much of a learning curve and I believe that is part of the love for growing. Indicas are easy to grow imo...sativas is where your/our knowledge as growers are really tested :)

Groot was an amazing show of what you personally can achieve so try not to let this dick of a plant mess up your groove :thumb:

Thank you NW! Very kind of you, I’ll keep this in mind and try not to let it get to me!

Oh yes... love leaving the planet... open my mind... good times!
I’ll have a .5gram chew next time and see how it does for me.

I personally LOVE the LEARNING CURVE its my gauge, as long as I LEARN something each grow I know I am
moving forward. I also know once I stop learning and improving I WILL GET BORED and LOSE interest in it.
Cant get comfortable with all this, Once I start to coast and things become routine its on to the next new thing

Its ok Gazoo...you'll never get bored with us....we hope!:surf:

Thanks :green_heart: I dont expect to ever get this all were I would be COASTING ;) another reason I have
been very happy with all this is the NEVER ENDING VARIABLES and if I ever do get it all DIALED IN i can
move up to

Hey gang... great stuff there Gazoo! Looks like a lot of fun... if only I had that greenhouse I’ve been wanting.

So the buds I harvested from tha Panama are in jars and I have been leaving them open all day closed all night repeat...

Thing is, they seem to want to stabilize at 64%. Is that low enough? Or is that extra 2% gonna cause me mold? I could use bodeva packs but with the discussion of them messing with smell and taste I took them out Day one.

REALLY I missed that about the boveda packs, I use them ?
I was going to say it would be OK, But without them, i'm not sure ?

119...here's wat i do.If the buds feel crispy after the jar is left open a while...like overnight...close the lid...open it in a couple days and have a feel...they should feel a lil moister than before..leave the lid off for couple hrs.....check again.....if they feel dryer than put the lid on again for another couple days...know what i mean? Don't leave the lids on if the buds feel a bit moist....only if they feel dry....if they feel dry ...leave the lids on.....check in a week or so......got it.We want a bit of moisture...just a bit left in the buds for the curing process to happen. If they are too dry a good cure will NOT happen...ok!

Yea, in another thread (not sure which one) they were talking about the Bodiva packs and someone said they though it absorbed some of the smell and flavor... I can say that I seem to notice the longer they are in with the buds... the buds do seem to lose some flavor and smell. But who knows, could just be the cure changing things.
I figure I will try without them with the Panama and see if I notice any change.

Gotcha Duggs, this is actually what I have been doing. But I threw a sensor in there to keep track of the progress....
Doesn't want to go below 64... but I will keep at it. Thanks Duggs!!
It shouldn't be a problem as long as they stay there. Just keep an eye on them going up. I've never had any issue with boveda packs either. Taste change? I could see where it's possible, but never noticed anything.
Awesome, I would rather have them slightly too moist than too dry. Over dried too many of my harvests...
Yes sir, just seems the taste becomes less complex, same with the smell. I would say it Could just be me, but some have said the same. I say if you see no problems on your end... no worries. I may go back to them if I find the jars without them do the same. I really like the convenience of those lil packs.
Thanks Morglie!
