Ace Panama, Groot, In High Brix

Hey Daj! All! I have one large vegging gal that was a clone taken the same time I took the clo,as,that I'll be harvesting this weekend. She is wicked wonky with really big 3 bladed leaves and pistils everywhere. See her and all my new plants in same tent. What shoumd I do with my big wonky girl? Cull? Switch her to 24/0 until better and flip?

:rip:

This is true, you have a lot of seeds... as much as it hurts, maybe you should cull her. Make room for a one that will produce properly. Hell you
Could get her healthy, put her to flower, and have major issues.
Yea, now that I’ve smoked on it, that’s what I’d do. I’m jealous of your space!

Thanks Daj! Going to do the deed now. Not sure why I kept her around this long. The other girls in the tent are going to love the extra room!

:theband:

Thanks Daj! I do have the space as of Sunday when I chop. I guess I'm wondering if it's worth it seeing how old and wonky she is. I can't imagine how long out will be to get her straight. I do love her smells, she is special (I had 2 phenos, sweet and dank but I don't remember which one this is, both are great) but I've got a bunch more seeds too!

:passitleft:
If she's something special I'd veg her long enough to get her back to happy. If not, if cull her. I brought my purple Malawi cut back from that state, but that's only because it's a gem. It took a full couple month veg to get 5 bladed, and the next grow of the cut has finally started throwing 7 bladed again, so it can be done. I personally don't feel like it's worth it though unless it's a cut you really want to keep.

Something I have found over time while being part of this site is that we are all jealous of someone elses space! I have a large area to grow and flower in compared to others on the site and I STILL wish I had more room lol. With my seed collection looking the way it does, it would be nice to have a warehouse to grow in. I would love to pop like 4 or 5 full packs at once or 8 to 10 half packs at once and see what i can get. 48 sqft just is not enough room to make that so though.

It is nice to see how people utilize the space they have to work with though and you do a good job of it. I know issues suck and they bring you down, but sometimes you just have to work through it. We all take hits at times, even the great Duggs had that Desfrans fiasco. You do seem to be having your fair share of issues but try not to take it personally and hope that at some point things with smooth out. When it happens you probably wont eve realize it until you look back on it. I lost 18 strains to PM all at once a few years ago. A couple of my prize cuts at that! I have since rebuilt my "keeper" collection and have evn nicer genetics around than I di then buddy.

Beautifully and elegantly put Yeti, thank you for this. :Namaste:

Yeti...why don't i recall that. mad at my self for not remembering that about your plants a couple yrs. ago. :passitleft:
I was not on the mag yet. It was actually before I started using the kit. I had been lurking and reading but not participating. It was actually one of the things that helped push me to try the kit.

Oh...i see. I feel a bit better now. Was wondering why i hadn't remembered that Yeti!
Now that u are using Doc's gear , growing is fun again eh!:passitleft:
Growing is less stressful at least lol. I do tend to enjoy what I am doing. Mixing soil and trimming are the biggest pains. The growing part is definitely better than ever. Now if I could have a warehouse with unlimited kit supplies I would be living the growers life! Oh a cement mixer to do my mixing in would be great too :ganjamon: one can dream!

Ya, i hear ya on the mixer thing. With only having two kits 'in rotation' mixing is not that big a deal , as it only happens every few months, so....
With runnign as many plants as I am I am mixing a batch up every month lately. I had been mixing two batches at once but have since decided that is too much work to do all at one time and have split it up. I really should have 3 kits in rotation at a time but have only had 2 and I find I some times hit a point where I do not have enough soil cooked to do what I need to. I need three in play in order to stay ahead of my soil demand.

Hey Gang! Just wanted to pop in and say I gave 2.0 a De-Stress spray today. Will hit her with some Brox in 5 days or so.

I also planted an Ace Destroyer in fresh HB soil. I figure it this way, I will keep my pants a bit smaller than Groot was. This will give me the room to run two in the flower tent. What I will do is veg out the Destroyer until it is ready to go to flower, then transplant her into a 7 or 10 gallon and shell be off to the flower race. at the time of transplant, I will plant another seed, and so on... kinda perpetual like. This should help shorten the time between my harvests and maybe allow me more leeway with the problems lately.

Decided to run the Destroyer instead of a pupil strain for now... really want those to come out "special" so I will grow a couple others first to smooth the way for them.

Thanks for reading gang!!

Went and got a new timer yesterday. Pretty sure it’s not my timer but when I replaced the one on my veg cabinet... I decided pretty fast that I love this style. Anyone else use and like this style timer? I just love how you don’t need to worry if a tab is part up or down... just slide the pin in your in and off position and done! And they come with 6 pins, 3 on, 3 off

That's the same way the ancient Intermatic ones worked. You know the big metal ones in the box with the door?

I still can't figure out how a mechanical timer can be more reliable than an electronic one. I mean, isn't that what electronics do best - time things? :hmmmm: But I sure don't trust 'em, for good reason. It's like a wheel that isn't always round - that's it's One Job.
