that's incredible. i've never seen a plant so dense before. and healthy! wow! thank you for the pictures. how is the smoke from this one?

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

Code:
==> MTO2, MTO3, OC6, TBD1 (bloom):
1. Pre-flush: 1/2 gal. each
   Per gal:
	 1 T liquid bone meal
	 1 oz yucca
   pH adjusted to 6.31 @ 22.5 C

2. Feed:
   MTO2, MTO3, OC6:
      --> 1-1/4 gal. each
   TBD1:
      --> 1 gal.
   Per gal:
	 2 t liquid bone meal
         1 T Calcium Syrup
	 2 t Biggest Bloom
	 2 t Soil Nute
	 2 t PGE
	 1 t Cal-Mag
	 2 t Feather Tea
	1/2 t Carbon sweet
	 1 oz Amino Blast
	 1 T Notrazyme

Adjust with Bioactive or water to 1450 ppm for MTO2, MTO3, OC6
      pH adjusted to 6.24 @ 23.0 C

Adjust with Bioactive or water to 1100 ppm for TBD1
      pH adjusted to 6.23 @ 22.8 C

	1/2 t Companion

There. That made the recipe simpler to execute.

You may have noticed I also moved the yucca to the pre-flush. It just seems to make sense that if the preflush is there to pre-wet the soil in prep for the nutes, then the yucca should do more good there instead, since it is a wetting agent.

I might have explained this already, but a wetting agent is something that makes water 'wetter' by allowing it to conform more tightly to the contours of the surfaces it contacts. This gives everything closer contact, making nute absorption easier and to a very small degree, even increasing the water volume the soil can retain by a little bit. Probably negligible though. Yucca gel (it's a liquid) is good stuff.

I'm now trying to decide if the yucca should be dosed based on the volume of the pre-flush, or if it should be added based on the volume of the feed coming after. It's that feed afterward that we want to transport everywhere.

I dunno. Now I'm thinking maybe it was fine with the second course.

Any opinions?

Am I splitting hairs here?

If nothing else, may the season bring you :peace: .

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

WHAT?!?!!??!?!

That is ridiculous!!

I really wanted to see what she looked like bloom wise.

You didn't get a cutting did you???

Awww man... what do you mean she was stuck?

I'm sorry to disappoint you - I feel let down as well. By stuck, I mean she isn't stretching at all. That's why she looks the way she does. She's like one big ingrown toenail. That was why I had her in the first place - we figured she needed a change of environment to bring her out of her funk.

I was only supposed to help her break out and then turn her into a mother. I'd had her for 3 months, and she hadn't added more than 6" of height in all that time. She had just grown denser, and maybe added 2" to her diameter.

I should have cuttings tonight, assuming I can get any viable ones from her. I want to see her blooming as well. I'm just concerned she may have picked up a genetic defect. We are pretty confident that the state she is in is not natural. Maybe a clone will take off - we will see.

Feeding report later. I'm also spraying with Azatrol tonight.

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

Code:
--> ORTW, CryLo, PS, BD, G13xGB, KK2 (veg):
1. Fog for spider mites; in hot water:
   Per gal:
	 2 t yucca
	 4 t Azatrol
	 4 t Notrazyme
	 1 T Ful-power
   pH adjusted to 6.40 @ 32.7 C

2. Feed to saturation
   Per gal:`
1 t Pure Blend Pro Grow
	 1 t Cal-Mag
         1 oz. Yucca
   Nutrients adjusted to 560 ppm
   pH adjusted to 6.26 @ 26.6 C
	1/2 t Companion
	 1 t Bt-i

I didn't get any cuttings, primarily because I just discovered I'm out of cloning gel. I'll get some Monday I expect.

I still hit veg with Azatrol, using the hand pump sprayer. Although I do plan on getting my own fogger like the one I usually borrow, the sprayer isn't too bad. It's not like my arm was falling off. I set the tank on a stool. I pump it a little every couple minutes. It works. But the fogger is second in line at the moment, so... soon. ;)

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

MTO2, MTO3, and OC6 are day 49, so they are beginning the wind-up for harvest. Time to increase the Amino Blast and the Carbon Sweet.
Code:
--> MTO2, MTO3, OC6, TBD1 (bloom):
1. Pre-flush: 1/2 gal. each
   Per gal:
	 1 T liquid bone meal
   pH adjusted to 6.40 @ 19.8 C

2. Feed MTO2, MTO3, OC6: 1-1/4 gal. each
   Per gal:
	 2 t liquid bone meal
         1 T Calcium Syrup
	 2 t Biggest Bloom
	 2 t Soil Nute
	 2 t PGE
	 1 t Cal-Mag
	 2 t Feather Tea
	3/4 t Carbon sweet
	 2 oz Amino Blast
	 1 oz yucca
	 1 T Notrazyme
    - Adjusted with Bioactive to 1400 ppm
    - pH adjusted to 6.24 @ 20.2 C
	1/2 t Companion
	 1 t Bt-i
TBD1 is still humming along at day 18, so no change there.
Code:
3. Feed TBD1: 1 gal.
   Per gal:
	 2 t liquid bone meal
         1 T Calcium Syrup
	 2 t Biggest Bloom
	 2 t Soil Nute
	 2 t PGE
	 1 t Cal-Mag
	 2 t Feather Tea
	1/2 t Carbon sweet
	 1 oz Amino Blast
	 1 oz yucca
	 1 T Notrazyme
Adjust with Bioactive/water to 1150 ppm
      pH adjusted to 6.23 @ 20.2 C
	1/2 t Companion
	 1 t Bt-i
As you can see, today was a fungus-gnat-killing Bt-i day.

Happy holidays AB! Can't wait to see some updated bud shots! That picture with the red, yellow and green fade is still my desktop...

Peace bro :peace:

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

hahah!!!! SCH B, that shrub is just too much shrub. wow lol.... i overscrogged one of my plants in an early grow and many poor branches and leaves never got any real light... i cant believe the plant is doing that to itself. preserving the genetics of that plant would be a gift to science.

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

Hello, my friends. I appreciate the support. And I agree that there may be something useful in that SchB. That's why I decided to clone her and find out. :ganjamon: I don't like to pass up any opportunity.

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

that dense of foliage ussually is the result of a high nitro content. But either way that is going to be one hell of a plant or nug i should say..I love pondering your grow..Just makes me wat to go play in my garden..And I really go over your post..Great job!!!

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

Thanks! Yeah, I was wondering how much effect N has on that.

Code:
--> ORTW, CryLo, PS, BD, G13xGB, KK2 (veg):

1. Feed to saturation
   Per gal:
1 t Pure Blend Pro Grow
	 1 t Cal-Mag
         1 oz. Yucca
   Nutrients adjusted to 600 ppm
   pH adjusted to 6.22 @ 20.7 C
	1/2 t Companion

Came home tonight to find huge puddles on the floor in the grow rooms. My first thought was "Crap! what failed now?"

Turns out is was me. I repositioned the garbage can that the dehumidifier in the bloom room drains into. It turns out, I repositioned it just out from underneath the drain line, so all the water that had been collected since 11pm last night was on the floor. Doh! I hate it when I pull stupid crap like that. A mop and a nudge fixed it all. Whew!

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

Pictures!

I have tried and tried, but by the time I get my camera to start to compensate for that damned HPS light, the pictures look like this:

20091230-01-aargh.JPG

Ack.

So I unplugged the 3 HPS before bloom turned on, leaving just the MH. Then when it came on, I took pictures for a few minutes and then plugged the HPS back in.

The MH isn't perfect and tends to blue them up, but some came out good enough. :cheertwo: In no particular order, resized, and some cropped:
