Awsome advise MUNKI!! G.H is perfect as a baseline. I'm running H&G right now and still use the G.H as a base for other nute regimines. +rep MUNKI(if I can):goodjob:

I actually found a forum topic on another forum where the guy is currently doing a simultaneous grow comparing Advanced, Fox Farm and Cutting Edge. I'm not sure about forum rules but if it is allowed i can post the link. Just did a quick read through and he is in flower, not sure how far along though.

ALSO does anyone have any experience with GH Subculture M + B?

Can H & G be used in aero setups no media at all? I am using Dutch Master grow and flower a&b, silica, zone, and add.27. I am on my first grow and like it so far, but have heard so many good things about H & G I would like to use it. Maybe save a little money and geat better results? Thanks

as far as I know it'll be fine to use in aero. I'll double check but its so clean and pure it should be ideal imho.

I like Tech. Its just something about them. Not the strongest nute, but clean. And that counts.

I am using Advanced Nutrients. I will be doing a side by side comparison on my next grow prob......... AN. vs. H&G

Honestly I only went with Advanced Nutrients because it was the most expensive. You get what you pay for, that's my way I guess. I have also been told my buds taste very good, I have other buddies growing clones from my mothers. My other buddies are using some other kind of nutrients. I don't know much about their shows. I don't ask to many questions.

After being on the fourms here I have learned there are alot of good nutrients. I will definately be trying some of them.

Good thread. Running AN. Have 90% or so, won't by all of them again.
Sensi Grow and Bloom---will keep using for sure!
MEST Bloom---will use if I don't use H-2, F-1
Carboload powder, will keep using
Tarantula---will keep using occasionally
Piranha---will keep using occasionally
Sensizyme--will keep using
H-2---not sure I'll buy more, as it is supposed to be in the "5-1" thing AN talks about
F-1---not sure I'll buy more, as it is supposed to be in the "5-1" thing AN talks about
Voodoo Juice---would like to buy more but is too expensive
Bud Blood powder---will keep using or look at bud ignitor as it is suppose combine products but BI is expensive too.
Big bud powder---will keep using
Overdrive---will keep using
Bud Factor X--- have but haven't used
Bud Candy---stuff is great will keep using
Iguana Bloom---have but haven't used
Organic B---won't buy again
Nirvana---will keep using occasionally

I think thats all the nutes. I am just waiting for AN to have the new feeding schedules out. I have heard plenty of talk that it should be 4ml/L base nutes and 2ml/L for the additives. I have had AN on the phone and asked them about the new schedule to reflect new products but no set dates as it was to be around this time but nothing yet.

Awesome Thread Butcher! This has definately been one of the more informative threads i've read in a while!

I use GH. I am doing Hydro Veg in 10 gallon totes then Flowerin 5 gallon Bubble Buckets no drippers. After a few grows with the 3 part I now have dropped the FloraGrow part and am using just the Micro and Bloom. I went from regular Micro to Hardwater Micro and the Ph jumping has been reduced by 50%, of course im using tap water. it is kinda high about 250-280 ppm(depends on how hot or cold the water is)
and so far so good.
I have decided this time to try out giving my plants a shot of, or "Bang" "Hammer" "Slam" whatever you wanna call it, this time with Kool-Bloom Liquid 0-10-10 on day 15 and 30 of flower, and then on the 40th day a final shot of the Kool-Bloom Powder 2-45-28
I'm totally a beginner I have to say that once I had proper equipment to monitor my reservoirs it made things alot easier. Now I feel comfortable trying to expand my horizons to make my already good bud better! lol

G.H is pretty dependable. I use alot of different nutes. But the fact that they cater more is a big Plus. You'll love the kool bloom. And the shot of powder does wonders too. My suggestion is to flush for at the least a week. 4 days pure water then 3 days h20 + flora kleen. Some growwers flush for 2 weeks. Some flush for as little as 3 days. 1 week is what I've found to be best for Gen. Hydro products. But with indica's they tend to take a heavier ppm count. So to counter the heavy storage of nutes in their systems, I flush for 10-14 days. .THanks for the added input guys/gals. i cant believe how well this thread has done. It's done so well because it was a great idea. . . i think that the nutrient lines out there are perhaps the most intimidating and confusing set of products and after growing for a while and thinking about it i think i know why. . .

It's because there's no one right way to do it. there are many wrong ways though. lol. Especially you know (running so many types of systems) every system is a little different, every strain is a little different. A good analogy is like medicine in general, why isn't there ever just one type of medicine for one type of disease? because what works great for 90% doesn't work at all for 10%. And when you increase the number of variables, you increase the complexity, and how hard it is to get one product to work for everything. . . you get where i'm going.

It's an F'ing daunting task to learn about everything and sometimes your just like why the hell cant I just put them in some damn miracle grow and get huge frosted buds. especially when you're a newb. . . now when I overhear a hydro store guy tell someone it's his job to know nutes and trust him I smirk in my head. . . that guy has no idea whats really going on in the guys system with a few generic questions. (where i'm from you don't infer what you do with your hydro system, lol, it's quite silly. we all grow tomatoes.)

So, thats why this thread is so great, say if you were running an aero system, or ebb n gro, or a big old wheel, you could ask someone else running one what kind of nutes worked for them and you'll have a much greater chance of finding a good line for your system. . . of course you still have climate, strain, bugs, etc all to worry about too. so compare with what those guys are running out there too.

I've been using Connoisseur and a bunch of other AN goodies for a couple cycles and I like it, now that I got a little used to it. start out at about an EC of .8-.9 work my way up to about 1.6-1.7 and then back down.

I'm not gonna keep using everything either. I'm gonna drop the sensizyme and go back to hygrozyme. its cheaper and probably better. I have enough tarantula, piranha, big bud, and carboload to last me 20 grows. lol. I have enough overdrive for another grow. and ME bloom tea too. I have enough Conn A&B for 3-4 grows. I'm sticking with it. just be careful of running too hot and flush once in a while and your golden.

what do you like about the other ones you'll keep using frosty? whats great about the candy?

I give up to Fox Farm. I love using their line on soil. Its just I have so many bottles of G.H. i mean I use to buy em by the case.sO youcan get the idea. I had a fried who I'd get cheap product from. and I always baught the g.h. I went through the fox farm and started from their. its hard buying nutes when you have others laying aroung the area. But i will spend on H&G and DutchMasters anyday.I may run with Dm on the next. My sick buddy has the H&G line but I want to run D.M, but hes the man on that one. His word is law. I just guide him to make sure hes spot on. Wel I guess at this point, I have to be the one spot on...Lol..I may just mess w/ him and tell him I'm running DM at his house well his out..That'll mess w/ him and give him a good laugh in the process. And that carboload. I love that sh*t!! Thick and messy but works wonders. YOu know how I love to carb stack.

maybe so. to be honest i could not say one nute has ever significantly outperformed any other under my own hand. but I like their political stance, and i have extra for now, so i'll stick with it for now. might try something new when I have to get new base nutes.

I give it up to them too. it's what i started with in soil, and what I set my dad up with for his soil. its easy and works well, love the cha-ching.
