Re: A poll to see what kind of nutes are prefered.

i started using fox farms, and switched to advanced after side by side comparison, i noticed a much skunkier aroma and flavor. im looking to do another comparison pitting advanced vs house and garden(id like to try dutch masters in this grow off , but the practicality of that on a large scale just doesnt seem too appealing). lmfao, its gonna be five years b4 ill really know anything definative. tough work but someones gotta do it, right...RoorRip

Re: A poll to see what kind of nutes are prefered.

I have used everything, but to this day I have never got results like I do now till I started using PBP and AN side by side, sound crazy? AN fulvic is awesome, so is the iguana.
WE also have to remember the manufacturing side of the nutes, where do they derive their chemicals? I hate to say it, but DUPONT has a monopoly on alot of fertilizers and chemicals for ferts. So choose wisely. Some BIG hydro co, get their ingredients from the company that helped make cannabis illegal in the first place.

Re: A poll to see what kind of nutes are prefered.

I'm halfway through my first grow using Advanced Nutrients Grow-Micro-Bloom Series. I've read a many books, web forums and get advice from weekly from a Professional Grower. The problem is is that he can afford the Conessiour Line, $600 a table run and well I cant. I've called A.N. technical line many times to get any additonal pointers and they do not pick up the 800 line, and it drops to a answering machine (yes a real live circa 1980's answering machine). I've emailed them several times and have never recieved a response. I've got very healthy plants that just started the flower phase but unless the yeild and quality knock me on my ass I'll be switching to another nute producer. By the way, my guidence Guru regularly harvests 5 pounds a table that hold 8-10 plants.

Re: A poll to see what kind of nutes are prefered.

I am finishing up my first run using the AN line, I am in the last res before a 4 day flush. I want to harvest around the 23rd.

I used AN Grow-Micro-Bloom for veg, and switched to the Connoisseur light feeding schedule, I used everything on the calculator, as dosed for 9 gal in a 10 gal tank, so 90% recommended. I did not use voodoo or bud blood, but i used everything else.

All I can really say about them is that they didn't do any better than any other nutes I've used really, but it's not their fault, it's a fault in my method some where.

I can say this too, It can be a pain in the butt to keep the pH stable if you don't flush you medium every week. it is a pain to put the piranha and tarantula in tea bags, and the bags always dissolve into pieces by the end of the week. It takes me a pretty long time to change my res, measuring out 10 different things, some liquid, some powder. if i had better tools it would help.

i cant really say anything bad about the line because i don't think i worked them to their potential, mostly by neglect. it'll be interesting to see if there is any noticeable difference with my scrog. I'll have a side by side comparison with some organic dirt mix with clones from the same mom.

if I can't see a difference why pay so much more? that's not to say someone else might see one, but I will go cheaper if I don't see results. I have enough for another run, so I'll keep using it. I'll give a smoke report comparison and final review when I'm really done with the grow.

Re: A poll to see what kind of nutes are prefered.

Thanx Wheel,
Thats some helpful info. Teabags can be a pain. I hate messing w/ them, so I dont. no matter what your scrog and wheel are sick and i mean twisted sick. Side by side, both maximize your growing area. Cant go wrong, w/ a set up like your.

Re: A poll to see what kind of nutes are prefered.

I recommend GH flora series; especially just using bloom and micro at 2:1. Simple, cheap, and effective from what I've seen in my grows so far. Not to say that other nutrient regimens aren't as good or maybe even better, but for those starting out, it is nice to simplify the grow as much as possible. GH flora nutes following the Lucas Formula is hard to top in that aspect.

I'm only on my first grow, so I'm not able to "prefer" any brand yet, but I've been using GH the whole time and I'm very happy with the results so far.

Re: A poll to see what kind of nutes are prefered.

its not just about what you prefer, cause most of us prefer alot of expensive lines but just get a lil to pricey sometimes , so ll your input is invaluable. Your post are always valued BOLIVAR. Glad to have your input. If you decide to change the nutes up, post it let us know. Its nice to read all the info we can get on nutes. I've been reading everyones post on this thread. I gotta say when I started this thread i didnt think it would get the turnout that its had. The thread is full of helpful info and the best part is alot of people have hooked up w/ each other concerning their nute issues. SO THANX AGAIN AND POST AWAY ALL!!!

Thanks, Butcher. Even though I'm liking the GH, I'm going to try all Hesi next run, so I'll be able to at least compare those two.

Re: A poll to see what kind of nutes are prefered.

Let us know when you do the switch and set the link up on the post, along w/ the one already on your sig. That way we can see route people to your grow . So they can see the product work.Thanx again

Re: A poll to see what kind of nutes are prefered.

I am seriously considering changing nutes. I am happy with the performance of Cyco Platinum but they have changed all their products. I contacted them to be told ALL products are the same. This is just not true. I can read the contents label and see the different changes made and therefore do not like being treated like a total fuckwit.
PULL SOMEONE ELSE"S CHAIN MR CYCO PLATINUM!!!
I may return to Canna (its pricey but proven) or try Flairform or House & Garden(the H&G is $$$$ also).

i have heard the canna line has been changed up too, i was reading somewhere around here that someone was talking to a close source and said canna has been more watered down these days, but H&G seems to be good stuff!:rasta:

You got the essence of why I recommend GH Flora, especially for beginners. Easy to work with and gives the new grower a baseline to compare more expensive and/or exotic nutrient regimens. That way growers can really compare for themselves on what is best for their own situation. Once I finish my GH nutrients, I believe I will explore the House and Garden line next.

Munki, I can say that I am waiting on an order of H&G to be shipped. After speaking to some friends in the horticultural/flower business who use this I decided I would also, it sounds to be one of the professional's tools for optimum results, when done correctly.
Good luck with whatever u get.
