5 Unknown Strains - 2012 Grow

I think you are going to be much happier with this. What a great set up. I feel I need to mention that when you put a door on your clone/veg area with shelves, you may want to hand a black out curtain in front of/around the door. The reason I say this is becaue you are going to want to be able to open your door on your 18/6 or 24/24 area and not mess up your 12/12 in your flowering area.

We think alike I see. Im going to dont worry mate. It will be tip top shape in about another month. Doing things slowly cause I do not plan on moving anything else again. I felt like a slave in that hot room. lmao

Yeah .... but you got to smell them.

Yeah .... but you got to smell them.

Feel them, Smell them indeed. Im so relaxed now. I have to feed them now. I have solution bubbling for them now. Hopefully it PH'd it self around 6.0. It usually does when I let it aerogate for some time.

An extra picture to let you guys know how much extra room I have in the front. I say if I can find thinner but tall pots Ill be good with fitting a nice amount.
Oh I also forgot to say all the buckets are doubled up so the extra run off water will sit in the bottom of the buckets so it it will soon turn into a DWC sort of. Roots tend to always find there way to water. I discoverd this when I had them in foam cups doubled up. The roots were just dangaling in the run off water. Heres a throwback picture of that

Not sure if ya already knew Wizzy but your plants show signs of heat stress.

Thanks! The signs of it still havent gone away. Even though that was earlier on in the week when I had my fan blowing lower than the lights. And also I forgot I had turned the fan down one day and never turned it back up. Now that there in there new room they get full circulation :thumb:

Pluck off the bad leaves and it won't waste energy trying to repair them.

you know me I do love a scrog. but you shouldnt have to move it. if its just for support the I think that a tomato cage would be better.
about the double bucket(this is my tought) watch out for stagnant water as with nutes in there it may start growing mold in there. I am only guessing but in my head it sounds logical
but the scrog does get a AA+

Thanks for the advice Fish. The scrog I want it to move because since Im LSTing im pulling the branches down so the scrog is to low for my taste. I pretty much want it similar to how yours is. So I took it down last night until I get my official one and by time im done the plants should be a bit taller. I really didnt have room to water them up under the scrog.

As for the run off water in the second bucket ill be putting a rubber grommet on them with a tube connected so that ill be able to see the water level and be able to change out the water any time. Noticed I wouldnt be able to lift the buckets are maneuver them for that matter once the scrog is up. I just seen Gigs new idea for soil/transition/hydro DWC feed. Good idea and is similar to what I was thinking besides the way he had his medium layered. I wouldnt have thought about that.

Got bored so after I rolled up a joint as my morning afternoon ritual lol I thought hell why not dust off my DIY cloner/hydro DWC and let her rip. So I took a couple of the cuttings I made and placed them in there. The one started to wilt so I luckly had a bottle and was able to use it as a dome. Lets see how they do in a couple days to a week. Usual air stone with a water heater and nutes is in the inside just incase you were wondering. Using FF GrowBig for the base nutes:thumb:

In other news I get so bored over here I keep taking clones to past the time. Im trying out my new rooter plugs. Ive seen a few ppl use them so now ill give them a try. Also one of my clones had good roots but it start dying. ?????? I really couldnt figure out the cause of it.????? :smokin: Give input if you please!

I'm just guessing here. But, i'm thinking too much water ..... causing root rot.

Dear Mr Cheeky Chops WizHigh,

Hello! :ciao:

Wellll... laptop is just being strange. Am good with them, sort of know what I am doing  It's just old, and got gremlins in it. Not as in a virus or anything, I mean actual gremlins. Or a ghost. Could be a ghost  I'm hoping it will limp along until Christmas then I can spend the time sorting it out properly as I know it will take ages. And something will go wrong, it always does! lol.

Hmm. Now I know only slightly more than nothing on growing but I'd second what Muttt has said. They do look wet and apparently that leads to root rot?... one of the reasons I unded up under watering Ruby to avoid it! Oopsy :bigblush:

Come over when you can, will always be pleased to see you.

Love from Fluffy Haze

(aka Beanbo)

Post Script - I cannot tell you how excited I am by my new nickname of Beanbo! :cheer:

Looks to me like u removed the dome off that clone a tad bit early and it's leaves transpired wilted n croaked before u could save it..kinda like what to mutts mini me..

Was wondering if u had any success in the past trying to root with that ff grow big in ur rez?? They are some mighty hot chem nutes..

No success at all. That was my first time rooting in hydro. I removed them. Like you said they are hot nutes. It burned my other clone which had roots up. Im sticking to dome and propagation tray.

I've not used a hydro cloner before so can not comment truly on the matter...

But ya certainly don't need any nutrients in the reserva for cloning but at best foliar feed every couple of days., reserva should be around 18c to 21c.

Now i'm a bit more familar with just ol cuttings 'n' rooting plugs & only used root roit cubes 'n' jiffy pellets before...

My best results are with a heated propargator with temps maintain to 26c to 32c on average & high humidity 24/7, keep the plugs moist as clones don't like dry plugs/cubes ! with a folair feed every couple of days allowing to breath for 1 hour every day by removing humidity dome.

All should root with in 10 to 14 days.

Now i don't like 24/7 lighting as plants need a dark period for doing hormone stuff using a 18/6 light regime as standard - i use 16/8 for rooting clones/veg but thats just me as i don't like giving Mr electric bill man more than he deserves... rofl

You can leave them in an unheated propargator tho but rooting takes longer plus some failure of clones may root from 10 to 21 days.

Clonex is a good rooting hormone gel :thumb:
