Hey Wiz great grow so far, and lots of good information. I'm definitely keeping this grow on my quicktab
Thanks for stopping by FlashCry! Hope to see your journal up soon. You have some beautiful girls in your tent as well that I know 420 would love to see grow and when they start showing flowers. Which we call porn lol. Updates will be coming later on this week with new pictures of the 6th week of veg. So really your just in time for alot of excitement. 8th week Ill be flipping the lights to 12/12. Im really into vegging them long. 2 months veg has done alot for my plants and I may think about going longer because I would want them to be huge plus I want to top them more. I did have 50 grow sites but I toke 3 huge clones this week.
Though I do have some concern with vegging them later than 8 weeks since they already started to show there sex. I dont want them to think They had missed sexing and then hermie on me. That is going to be a thought in the back of my head until I get that answered.

Shes only on her 6th week of veg, 2 days in to it. She has about 5 grow sites with pistols maybe more. Didnt do a full check. Like you can tell where there going to be at they just havent opened yet though.
Just reading your post again im not sure if you were talking about the pistols or if she will hermie after her 8th week? lol But her nodes are still upright, V shaped.

I was wondering what that may look like? See Ive been googling trying to find pictures of what the branches will look like to know if there mature enough etc. I always thought when they go from V shaped to ---- there mature. Is it the other way around? I know the main fan leaves are straight across and no longer V shaped. You got any pictures?
Also after doing so much LST how would you even know? Yea I need pictures lol
yeah let me find one, when they are mature the new growth will stagger instead of like they grow when they start out instead of a stem side by side there will be one growing just a lttle higher then the others

Oh most branches I topped are doing that now. So I guess thats what made her show her sex during veg? Theyve been like that since week 3 or 4. Can I still veg her longer? Ill be pissed if she hermie, though I maybe happy cause then shell produce female seeds. But I heard you can clip the balls off and keep her a female is that true? Im not worried about it shes not going to hermie on me. Its all love with her lol
you can keep her in veg for years, a lot of folks keep mothers for very long periods of time.
and yes as long as them balls dont open and your sure she is a she you can just takem off also Shizzy used some kind of spray on his hermies that stop it all together but I dont remember what its called.
oh and keep a spray bottle of water around and give them balls a squirt before you pluck them incase you pop one open. that way the pollen wont become airborn.

Yea I was just on his journal and read it. I will look for what he used again. Shes not going to hermie, It was just a quick thought. Thats good thought that I can veg her longer. I may stop at 8 weeks depending on the size and how many tops. She crowding her slef with fan leaves all over. What should I do about the fan leaves? I dont want to cut them cause it might slow her down.

I just pinched off a bunch of fan leaves on my GDP and LA Kush. They were blocking out the light for all the center nodes/growth. I LST'd the main branches to open up the middle. Then I pinch off any really large fan leaves that were blocking the light. Not sure if it will slow things down or cause the new growth to spurt. I guess we'll find out in a week or so ..... LOL.

The fan leaves that I didnt remove are the 4 huge main ones. And there real healthy. I dont want to upset her by taking them away lol. They just seem like in the end they will do the plant more good by feeding off of them in flower. The more fan leaves the more food stored up and the more buds and mass produced I feel. So Ill continue to LST and move them out the way. Though there not really in the way of nothing major. Its all the new growth fan leaves that are every where. The whole top is covered in fan leaves. Those are the ones thats blocking there own side branches and extra tops from getting light. I used my light meter and its gets to like 500 in the middle of her so I guess thats good enough.
