5 Unknown Strains - 2012 Grow

Updates on the PINK Ladies. 3rd day of WEEK 6. All the tops have grown in and Ill be topping them once again. Every 2 nodes Ill top pretty much. Then soon after ill start F.I.M to get 4 tops out of 1. Ive done it on 2 grow site and it has 3 tops so I didnt get it to 4 but Ill still continue doing that. Also Ive been tying them down every day to keep the canopy even

Also the ZINC Def. is all cleared up on the 2 plants that had the problem so thats a good thing and now there back to growing great

Little heat stress had to raise my fan over the canopy a bit. No biggie!

Now this stuff I actually used on PLANT #2. And ill be using it here and there to see what right dosage to use since its dry ferts. Also I may use this during my next grow and just use advanced additives to the feed. It says 6-8 weeks per feeding so I can handle that.

GH Koolbloom dry. I used the Liquid Koolbloom on my last grow, but I'm told for the 2nd half of flowering switching to dry will produce massive swelling of the buds right up until flush.
I'll let you know what I see..

Yea is my 3rd time topping and I like to grow 2 nods inbetween each topping, it works out great and keeps them bushy plus getting more bud sites. Topping and LST is the way to go, also lots of veg time. Im vegging for 2 months and depending on my 3rd plant I will be vegging longer so that every plant I have got the same treatment and Ive taken 3-9 clones from each plant. So next update will be on the clones and how there doing. 400W MH /HPS is powering this grow along with side lighting from 8 CFLs. Im using my T8 for cloning and then I veg with my 4ft 4bulb T5. Ill be getting another 400w convertible MH/HPS so that I can use MH bulb and HPS at the same time during flowering. Ill let them hang like an upside down V so that the plants are getting an equal amount of both lights. If that doesnt work ill maybe add a 3rd so it will then be equal across the whole canopy. By then it will be my second grow and ill have 10 plants vegging and flowering. Plus Ill be done with my new grow room that im currently in the process of building. Yea I would like to know what the word is on that. I also have dry Kool Bloom. Im planning on using it threw out the flowering. Along with alot of other additives.

Im a big fan of topping and LST too.
Sounds like you're going to have some nicely spread out light! 3 convertible 400 watts? I can't picture that much light in that little closet of yours, but I'm sure you're talking about putting all that in the new room you're currently building. (Which I can't wait to see!)
I can see how hanging a convertible vertically between the other 2 400's would give them lot's of light and both spectrums, but just a thought (and I'm sure you already thought of this), since you're already training them to produce full bushy conopys, the light might be better distributed from the top by all 3 400's. Then use your CFL's for side lighting where needed?
How big is the new room going to be? Maybe I missed you mention it, I'll flip back and check..
I'll be sticking around for this grow for sure.
Hopefully we both hit over 1 LB!

Im not in a closet space right now. Im just using a corner of my room which im only using 1 400w and I have a curtain hung up with myler foil to reflect the light. My new set up will be in my closet which is a walk in closet. Its huge I never measured it but I can fit 40+ Plants in there. I maybe be able to fit more. But im building a side closet on the inside to have for my clones.

Yea I woke up to these pistols and i tell ya its a beautiful and relaxing feeling to have knowing there females. Im so happy and Ill be even happier when my clones root that ive taken from her. A new surprise is that I now have 2 female plants. The smallest one is starting to show pistols. Though ive only seen one site. Maybe more will show threw the week. I hope the last one is a female also. Its good to know they didnt hermie threw all of the deficiencies the two had. There growing mighty fine and the roots just keep coming out these pots. I mean there 5 gallons. I just need taller pots I guess. Next transplant I will in fact get taller pots

It's all so exciting!

I still have less than half a clue of what is going on, all this talk of bud sites, pistils etc gets me very confused! I just stand there looking at them going, "ooh, what's that coming out of there?"

I have seen that Jorge vid before. He has some definite opinions. He personally told me not to strip leaves!! I'm to ashamed to tell him I did! Great info. I love that CFL set up. I may give it a try sometime. My tent is ordered and on the way.

Just stay tuned and youll see more from my grow and hopefully I dont have everyone waiting long to put them into flower. I just really like the veg stage since I already know what the flowering is all about. Just want to do more in veg so I can benifit more during flowering. Next update will be clones. And deciding what I want to do with them.

Im also ashamed as I today right after watching him I go into the room and start taking off fan leaves. He has to understand that there just to many and big of fan leaves blocking light. We all have shame lol

How we all are getting are knowledge up and are ready for the bigger grow and more intelligent. I cant wait till I see your new set up. And I may throw a auto in this room. Yea you convinced me lol

Ok so this is what ive been doing all day. Fixing up my new space for my plantation. So far this is what Ive got done. I wanted to see how much space I would have working with 5gallon buckets for future reference in using a 8 site hydro DWC. OK so looking at the picture it dont seem like an 8 site will fit in there. Not of the size of those buckets any way but I can get some nice sized plants in there. Im going for my max lol. Also ill be having a few in soil. On the other side of this room I have an area for clones and smaller veg plants that will be soon full. Still trying to work on the space and how I might add to it with shelves Soon Ill add a second 400w MH/HPS infront of the one you see in there. So Ill be utilizing the whole space towards the door. I have my T5 on the side wall for more light. It will only be there until I get the second 400w MH/HPS. So this is what Ive have so far and I have a couple extra shots of nice roots. Proves that "Hygrozyme" Really works. Also I mixed coco croutons in the organic soil. I ran out of coco coir but I looked it up online and it proves positive for more airy and drainage in soil when mixed so thats a ++++ Picture time!

Root mass is something serious. Transplanting is good... OH YEAEAA!!!

OK pictures of the closet, didnt still measure it, ill get those next time. As you can see what room I have to work with and in the first picture you can see where Ill be putting the second 400w MH/HPS. That way Ill be able to use the front row more. Started scrog and LST. Also have a new feature to my stress training "SUPER CROP" OH YEAAAAA!!!

P.S. My scrog sucks. Im in process of building one that can move up and down the wall so dont laugh at mine. Its just to let more light threw the middle lol

And lastly I have the extra room for my clones and small veg plants. Ill soon be building a door on here to block off this entire section. Can I get an A++

I think you are going to be much happier with this. What a great set up. I feel I need to mention that when you put a door on your clone/veg area with shelves, you may want to hand a black out curtain in front of/around the door. The reason I say this is becaue you are going to want to be able to open your door on your 18/6 or 24/24 area and not mess up your 12/12 in your flowering area.
