5 Unknown Strains - 2012 Grow

Yep,good move wiz gettin them outta da rez..i just bout cringed when i saw that..haha,it's just like tryin to feed an infant baby lasagna.no nutes are needed till roots are set..nothin against da ff grow big..great nute if used with caution.i get great results with it.

Ok so Im updating my PLANT #2 She is so beautiful to me. Her 7 colas look like they will produce some nice fat dense buds. Her LST and topping has really payed off. She is topped 3x inside each cola, they are so full on the inside. I will update on PLANT #3 Which took her Super Crop very well. She has exploded with love and she has also been topped 3x. This 400w MH/HPS + T5 made a huge difference

I will be picking up some of that foliar spray nutes so that that would be much better for them in the dome

I've not used a hydro cloner before so can not comment truly on the matter...

But ya certainly don't need any nutrients in the reserva for cloning but at best foliar feed every couple of days., reserva should be around 18c to 21c.

Now i'm a bit more familar with just ol cuttings 'n' rooting plugs & only used root roit cubes 'n' jiffy pellets before...

My best results are with a heated propargator with temps maintain to 26c to 32c on average & high humidity 24/7, keep the plugs moist as clones don't like dry plugs/cubes ! with a folair feed every couple of days allowing to breath for 1 hour every day by removing humidity dome.

All should root with in 10 to 14 days.

Now i don't like 24/7 lighting as plants need a dark period for doing hormone stuff using a 18/6 light regime as standard - i use 16/8 for rooting clones/veg but thats just me as i don't like giving Mr electric bill man more than he deserves... rofl

You can leave them in an unheated propargator tho but rooting takes longer plus some failure of clones may root from 10 to 21 days.

Clonex is a good rooting hormone gel :thumb:

Yea i used colenx on the ones that had rooted. I was thinking of getting more of that or go with root tech.

ABSOLUTELY MARVOLOUS BRO:thumb:

Hey wiz,no need to drop a dime on foilar feed because u already have some.simply mix 1/2 tsp of ur ff grow big to a gal of water.it's exactly what i use for my bonsai moms if i see any signs of yellowing only because i avoid applying any chem nutes to roots because grow cycle..

Only use foilar feed if needed, because in my opinion u got'um lookin nice n green already.studies show to much nitrogen inhibits root growth,as long as u mist with plain water to maintain humidity and exchange air at least twice a day u will be good..the time it takes to lift dome n mist is enough time to exchange air..avoid leaving dome off for prolonged periods especially in early days because it will evaporate mist on leaves causing it to wilt not to mention dry ur medium, which is obviously not good..

She really looks fantastic. I don't think I would foliar feed either. Not with that color. She's doing just fine.

But, the one in the far right corner of the pic looks like it needs some water.

Looks good! Makes me wish I would have went with new lights instead of the Tent/fan/filter.

Theres still more time to get a light as long as you continue growing. I need a filter my slef. I will have to purchase one sooner than later. I really do love my T5 because its 6500k and the lights are so blue they make the plant look better. And its good for keeping tight even nodes. Great light penetration also. I have to step it up and get a real 6500k or higher in a MH light. Theyll probably run $100-$200 for a good one.

It seems to be the smaller clones that are yellowing and wilting. They grow roots but dont seem to grow just wilt and die. The bigger clones are still green and not wilting or yellowing at all. But there slow to growing roots

Oh yes! Told my family to get me all Amazon gift cards for the holidays! I do well with CFL's. I just want to be at one or two lights..

LOL! I just found the Argro Max MH bulb 6500k 35,000 lumens. $59.00 good price. I like CFLs also I havent tryd out the 200w just the 23w. There good on price and blue spectrum but the lumens is what gets me down. And the 75w arent ballast which sucks. But they do have the 3way CFLs which are great and $10 a bulb. I had bought a couple but then was pissed because I didnt have a 3 way socket. And I had already put my 8 site lamp together and those where regular sockets. smh! Have to startch paying attention to what I buy. And thats where the T5 comes in. Cheap and also effective.

Well I must apologize for not being active on this grow. I thought I was subbed but apparently not. Looks like you have been having a good grow and small issues with cloning. I am experiencing some troubles with the clones I inherited but think I might have the problem fixed. Time will tell. Keep up the good work!

Have you tried not using any nutes at all with your clones??

Thanks for coming along this some what stressful ride. Yea Ive been dealing with some issues with the 2 plants but they are now in great growing condition. Clones is another story. Ive been good with rooting them but getting them to grow smh. IDK what the deal is with these babies?????:scratchinghead:

I know its GDP but I hope you stay around, from what ive sample from these leaves they will be some very strong smoke:thumb:

At first I was just using good clean water. Then the yellowing started. Didnt know what else to do since they had already rooted. Roots then die. Im confused :loopy:

Maybe you are trying to water to quickly once rooted. Let the roots keep looking for water for a couple days once the dome is off then try and give them a small amount of water in the soil and then a little spray after lights out. It has been working for me so far. I have yet to lose a clone. I even recloned clones and they are becoming green again as the ones I received were not cloned properly or had contaminated rooting gel. Hope this helps a little.

Yea I only lost 2 so far. They seem to be the smaller ones. I just checked my clones before lights out and the bigger clones has roots coming out of the rooters. So thats a good thing. Im trying to get my next batch of plants in veg before I put the older ones into flower. I say by week 9 all of my clones should have rooted very well and begin vegging for 2 - 4 weeks. I plan on pushing them hard full nutes on the 2nd week maybe.

There was three clues i gathered lookin at the ur clone in ur pic.

-it wasn't completely yellowed( small side fan was green and somewhat erected)
-new top growth and smaller growth looked dehydrated n wilted
-root growth looked a little premature to expect it to be able to provide veg growth.

Well developed, well set rooted clones dont just keel over and die, unless a toxic shock is introduced.i firmly believe that transpiration from being exposed too long without dome got the best of it.the roots were not ready to take the complete load..it's important to slowly harden ur rooted clones before completely exposing for hours..before u know it u come back too late and it's way past the point of return.

I just pulled 2 more week clones from my batch today. Once again 2 of the smallest clones Ive taken. Ill be taken more clones today to replace them. I have 10 strong growers still. So after this week Ill start taking the dome off more or placing them in there own small pots. Coco Coir and Organic soil. I wanted to try FFOF and FFHF but Im hearing those are to hot. Plus I need full control.

I have heard a lot of soils are too hot. I use Promix BX and never have an issue. Seems to be just right for the girls. :)
