Those are pistols. The first picture is a bad shot but look at the other pics. You see the 2 amber hairs together? Those are for sure pistols buddy. Im vegging for the full eight weeks and Then maybe ill flip the lights, all depends on how im feeling if i feel i can do more to them before flower.

Cause they are tired of waiting for you to flip them ..... LOL.


No seriously .... I have absolutely no idea. I hope you weather the storm well. A day or two with no lights wont kill them. It might kill the clones ... but your ladies should make it.

I will use flash lights if the power go out. They have atleast one lumen and 3w lmao hahahahahaha!

I just pulled 2 more week clones from my batch today. Once again 2 of the smallest clones Ive taken. Ill be taken more clones today to replace them. I have 10 strong growers still. So after this week Ill start taking the dome off more or placing them in there own small pots. Coco Coir and Organic soil. I wanted to try FFOF and FFHF but Im hearing those are to hot. Plus I need full control.

I have had a good experience using FFOF. All 6 of my Auto's went straight from germ too 3 gallon pots with a 70/30 mix using perlite. My 2 week old auto's are in a 50/50 mix. The 4 autos ( Day 57 ) did not need any nutes until week 5. So however hot it may be... some strains can handle it. Auto's are definitely touchy with hot mixes but my girls are doing well and my first harvest is days away. Give it a try you'll like it..

As you said though you need more control. I'm very new to this and wanted less control!

Might I ask whats the difference between early signs of sex pistols and after the 12/12 switch pistols?

I will def give it a try. That would be great not to feed for 5 months. Save on more nutes that way. Yea im giving it a go when I transplant my clones. Even though I just picked up a brick of coco coir today. I guess ill save that for something else. Or Ill just split the clones up between the 2 mediums. That sounds better.

After a closer look i see what ur sayin..dunno, never seen such a thing or maybe i never close enough ..what causes it? I dont know. 12/12 pistol is two white spurs protruding..similar to what u got there i suppose..just hope its not stress induced.have ever flowered out a clone from this before?

Just a guess, but I think they're just female hairs that are drying up. All my clones have had those hairs all through veg. (Not as brown as those) Plus vegging for 7 weeks is a pretty long time, they're just showing they're ready to flip!

All cannabis if vegged long periods will show it..

I have no chance of seeing such a thing given the fact i do sog and veg for only 10 days before flip.

So a mother plant pistols will change colors right? Because I was seriously thinking about keeping her as a mother plant or to make CS for female seeds. Just dont want her to produce pollen sacks before I make up my mind. One more week I was flipping the lights though. Im waiting until all the of the plants tops grow completely back in.

Well this is a good recovery from giving bad info. I mislead with info before and got my ass chewed out on a journal lol. No thing, I just wanted to know why they are turning amber? I guess ill go with Vicks answer with that.

By the way have anyone made compost tea before? The question I have is how long do you let your medium soak in the tea before taking it out? I have some brewing right now with my medium in it with a bubbler. Planning on sticking my clones in this stuff.

Clones before and after transplanting. Also pics of my compost tea with my soil. They started to droop after a hour or so. I misted some sandwich bags and placed them over the cups. Hopefully that work until they get use to the dry air.

Herbies have my attention for ordering seeds. They won me over with the super stealth delivery. Ill be ordering from them in the future. BPN will also be on my list of things to get. I just need to get another lamp for my space. I may just go with a 600/1000w air cooled tube, with the extra wing span. But then Ill be stuck with my 400w MH/HPS convertible not in use. I may sell it if it comes down to it.

there is always a need to keep your lights.
what if you break the bulb and dont have the cash to get a new one right away. or the ballast goes bad for some reason?
and you can always have a Veg room.
