5 Unknown Strains - 2012 Grow

Hey Muttt if you go back a page youll see my most recent update. Glad to have you back around:)

I dont think compost tea will be good in a res since there will be alot of bacteria. That will really cause the res to get yucky. Im pretty sure you can grow in coco or soil using only compost teas though. They have Nitrogen guano and phosphorus guano. So its definitely possible.

No problem on the link. I always go to that online site. I get all the good nutes and additives for cheap on there. I get the great white and voodoo juice for a good price. Super fast shipping also.

i don't mean all tea..i just ordered coco..and yep they ship fast..my order from Herbies is in chicago..they are fast too..

I think I know what you mean now about feeding tea to your plants in hydro. I to do just a top feed with molasses to feed the mycorrhizae in the coco in the net pots. Only thing I put in my res is the base nutes, rhino skin, bud candy and b-1, hygrozyme. Everything else goes threw the top feed. So yea that would work perfect.

Yo Wizhigh, hey brother! Hope you are well I went to the new journal and found you had some issues and that this journal was still going hope you are well, I was away for a bit but am back now and journaling again! Take care sorry to hear of your other issues.

Hey Wiz, dont quite hae pics up yet but in my new journal, (link in sig), you can see some shots I uploaded last night of the new girls about to harvest.....

Mmm Cheez Wiz Qush....

Always learning! My brain bleeds some days from reading so much.......I am obsessed with these plants.

Hope to see you in there soon!

Hey guys doing a little update. As I said If I see anything change with the DWC plants after adding 50PPM of CS to res I would let you guys know. So as we all figured it made the plant hermie. I seen nanners growing and looks as if seed production is getting started. So I took a quick shot of what looks to be a nanner male part.

No im not mad at this because I was doing the CS project to get pollen to breed and cross breed with. It would be alot easier to feed it to the plants vs spraying the plant and destroying the leaves in the process. I still havent fed the coco plant (Cheese Wiz Qush) but its up for a feed today so I will use CS in the coco and hope for the same results.

Also I had put the clones that were in stasis for about 2-3 weeks in the bubble cloner and they are doing well. It takes a day for them to bounce back and get perky. So if you plan on keeping them in stasis dont be alarmed if they droop for a day even with the humidity dome on. :thumb:

Wizz I think we should call you the weed wizzard.
Gave you reps for the info.

Thanks wildbill :), Its funny because I just came from leaving a visitors message on your profile saying thanks for the reps and I was hoping you would post on my journal so I can give reps back. You dont have a journal I think but I wanted to give reps for that dank looking bud in your pics. :thumb:

As for the Weed Wizzard title. All thanks goes to this trusty book :)

You really should. It will be a buzz kill because everything you thought you knew will be destroyed lol. But then you will get very excited about your next grow because you have learned the right way to grow and the difference between the bullsh** and the facts. So yea I owe this grow and future grows to that book. :)

I've never seen that book. Based on your description, it sounds like it has some revolutionary ideas. Can you share some examples of things this book says to do that deviate from traditional approaches?

Up until a few months ago, everything I knew came from experience, talking to other growers, and this book:

My grower bible for many years! I just recently found the book in an old box, so I'm rereading it. I'm picking up all kinds of little tidbits I had long forgotten. A couple times I've been surprised by just how much we new about growing MJ back in the 90's. There are some new technologies out there for lighting, lots of new nutrient companies, and new hydroponics and soil techniques, but really, not a lot has changed. I'm reading this book from 1993, and 99% of it is still just a relevant today.

Thanks for sharing the results of the CS experiment Wiz. I couldn't really tell that was a male flower in the picture, but I trust you. :)

I ordered some hydrometers from amazon sunday night...they just got delivered..coco haven.t even been shipped yet,,so i went ahead and repotted my teens...they were getting rootbound..and my sprouts needed to leave those cups..they will get the coco..ws is trying to gain some height..she might live after all...those sprouts that had their leaves pointing up is really growing and they haven'y been fed yet..so this happy frog might work out ok...the teens will get their 1st feed fri..see what this bpn will do...

Hey hiker thanks for the reps. To start off the picture I uploaded was the plants in DWC bucket. They were 100% female before the CS was added to the res. the picture that was uploaded with the purple circle which is pointing out the nanners which look like tiny small bananas are the male hermie parts. So now the female plant will pollinate it self and start producing seeds. Hopefully I'm able to catch some pollen so I can blow it over the Cheese Wiz Kush. I would like that strain to produce more but still keeping it around 50-60% sativa.

Now as for the book. There's alot of myth busters in there and the run down on LED lights vs HPS/MH. Nutes etc. It lets you know what products are best to use and which ones to stay away from. Lets you know which hoods to use and the max each wattage bulb can produce if everything is done right. I use to have my lights really close to the plants. Come to find out that's a big no no. It's very informative on this new era of growing. It definitely will tell you to KEEP IT SIMPLE! :) All in all it's a fun book to read. It has lots of pictures :) :laughtwo:

That sucks about the coco. But when you get it you can easily just repot once they get root bound in the next size pot. I had done it before and the roots take very fast to the coco. If you had got the kilo brick your going to need a 5 gallon plus bucket when you soak the brick in water. Because its hard to break sections off if you want to use just half or a piece of it. That is u less u have a chain saw :laughtwo:

Thanks weed wizzard for the reps.
I dont grow so no journal. 1 day I hope to get to
and I'm very much like you on the expermiting process.
I got a training method that I want to try
but being in a non medical state keeps me from doing it.
Keep on doing the experments, cause someone has to be the
Weed Wizzard lol.

Cool. And no problem on the reps even if you dont grow you always come to my journal showing love so I have to share that back with you. Experimenting is the way of the world. With out it we would be lost :)
